Weird. Yet, they are a popular agency. I don’t get it.
It was awful. There was a malicious attempt to imply that she’s a diva. A clip was published on Weibo that went viral showing the director of fangs of Fortune yelling at CX for causing a delay in the reshoots. The poster and the top commentators implied that she delayed shooting by 60 minutes. It turns out that was all untrue. The staff saw the video and made several posts clarifying that the delay was 20 minutes and was caused by her heavy headdress being loose. The head makeup artist wanted to fix it and it wasn’t properly communicated back to the director. The director saw the video and also clarified that CX is not a diva. Rather, she’s a hard worker and he would love work with her again. The director did lecture her harshly, but I feel like that’s, unfortunately, normal even in the US.
Similar negative comments were made about her by a few C-netizens on Weibo and it derailed the fans’ desire for FIYS Season 2 even though it remains one of the most watched and rewatched C-dramas ever released especially in foreign markets. I just think that there are a few jealous (someone with her body proportions and face are hard to find in China) people that are permitted to have an outsized voice
Vicky has just posted online defending and praising her. I think it really helped that CX took the criticism and…
That’s one of the reasons I love CX. I feel like she is a bit of a vulnerable sweetheart that is as kind as she is beautiful. I agree that the a portion of c-netizens would have slammed her if she had defended herself by speaking back. It’s a shame that women are still held to more negative standards than men in the middle of the 21st c. As for the director, I don’t hate him. He’s better than most because he, at least, tried to correct the image her gave others about her. That’s more than most would do.
Underrated. The FL was locked away for 18 years and never saw the outside world. She gets up to speed pretty quickly, but she remains true to herself. The MLs are good actors. The chemistry between the ML and her maid/ best friend are super cute.
It’s like a fairytale more than a modern romcom, but still highly entertaining
what in the world is wrong with the director why is he speaking to cx like this there is nothing she could have…

That’s even more weird because I have seen her multiple times with the CEO. She’s been on panels with the CEO. The CEO encourages her to be in group photos and sits at her table. Has her contract with Yuehua been renewed? I agree with you that something seems very wrong if they’re really not going to invest the same level of attention that Jay Walk provides Diliraba or that Huace provides Esther Yu then should go elsewhere.

Apparently, her headdress was loose and took 20m to fix. What’s really crazy to me is that, as a guy, it’s okay for him to behave like this. However, if he had been a female director, he would have been labeled as an impossible and overly emotional.
I suppose I should read the article which this is from. The classic of mountain and sea. Any link?
I’ve tried finding info about “Of Mountain and Sea”, but there’s not much in English. It seems like is similar to Grimm’s fairytales in that it’s a collection of mystical stories that many Chinese are familiar with. However, the majority of the stories are just a few sentences.
Thank you so much for posting that. It’s getting on my nerves that people come into this comment section just…
Than you for your hard work! I’m super excited for this to air. I dont know most of the cast, but the stills of CX, CDL, and the MLs have been beautiful
cause the ending was rushed & took a road away from og source material imo
I didn’t think the ending was rushed. I quite liked it, but the series should have been 6 episodes instead of 12. I think it would have kept a snappier pace and made for a more compelling story
Oh boy, i hope it’s true and she leaves them. She needs a better agency, can Yang Zi adopt her please, seeing…
Dilersba is an okay actress. CX certainly isn’t a worst actress. As for popularity, it’s clear she’s promoted very well. That makes all the difference. As for her looks…she has one of the prettiest profiles I’ve ever seen, but the pic of her full face is just okay. She reminds me of the pretty blonds in Hollywood. There are thousands of them, but they’re only a few with with truly standout looks. To me Diliraba is a pretty girl, but not a standout beauty.

I don’t know anything about that agency but Dilareba is all over Weibo nearly every day when she’s average pretty and not that talented, IMO. I watched her New Year’s Day video and her ‘dancing’ is nothing more than a bad version of vogueing.
I heard that her contract with Yuehua is up for renewal this month. I don’t know if there are any rumors/indications yet about whether she’ll sign with them again

2. Not bad, it’s like a fairytale
3. Good. 8.5. I personally like the Emperor better than the ML, but the ML and FL were super cute
4. Good
She really needs a PR team
She really needs a PR team because she should have the same level of coverage as Bai Lu and Diliraba.
