Can anyone explain me how the educated and beautiful woman ended in Nanqiao village? She did explain her being…
not sure if the drama will be adapt the novel but she was actually kidnapped and trafficked - sold to the brother for a pretty penny just for the sole purpose of progeny.
she was implied to be a prisoner from day 1 (story never explain why she couldn't / never escaped) and lost her sanity upon losing her first child (marital **** was implied but not explicily stated), and attempts for further procreation was summarily rejected.
First epilogue (extra chapter) does have some mention of her
The real reason for her death, we still don't know. For now, they served us complicated appendicitis, AIDS....…
the novel reveals it at around halfway / 2/3 of the final year of school. if I had to guess... maybe around ep20 of the drama. it is a major pivot for the story and the character direction - and do expect will be the major point of debate for watchers
In the novel its heavily implied that mumu had feelings for him but the FL couldn't decide if they were purely…
actually a key development in the novel was FLgetting jealous and writing a whole essay using them as a point of reference and dissertation topic, and winning a prize for it.
i actually like to think ML and Mumu used that to come to terms with their (lack of) relationship.
though with the dropping of FL's writing talent aspect, I doubt this will actually get adapted
being the youngest son in the patriarchal family - he is likely brought to be obedient and "prostate" himself in front of elder males. The trailer for ep14 hammers this home, at least to me
If an earthquake does occur, you'll be the first person I take with me.I am your only partner for a long journey…
might be censors - although even in the novel is implied. Pre-adult romance is frowned upon in China - and in the novel is very a big cornerstone of the mum's "plan to keep qingyu prim and proper not like her sister"
the novel makes me hate the qiao family even more, li fang hao obsession with ‘protecting’ qingqing is one…
you need to understand the mother comes from a place where 1) she blames herself for beiyu's predicaments 2) is adamant that qingyu will not follow the same path no matter the cost 3) to the point she has decided the end justifies the means 4) see any disobedience or deviation as a further failure of her mothering
if you read the novel - you will know how things turn out. Some may not agree (if adapted) how the novel decides how to approach the ending. Some may not even consider it a happy "final lap".
If this drama gets a happy ending It'll be an extra level of healing Drama
the novel is about healing and mental health so there is a good chance unless they twist the ending (novel was happy - though how happy was established in the 2 extra chapters. For those looking for romance, ML and FL only gets together in the last main chapter, and literally the last few paragraphs of it)
yes - in the novel she did say the things in ep12 to convince qingyu not to leave together with Ming Sheng - but she also becomes qingyu's biggest supporter and her only confidant until the end of the year 2 of school. Year 3 she goes to uni and has less of an involvement in story but she matures up and literally pass the baton to qingyu - accepting ming sheng and her can only be close friends / near siblings. Just that qingyu was too dense to realise it at that point.
her impact cannot be understated - though it remains to be seen whether the drama adapts the aftermath of the current arc literally - drama already changed qingyu's talent to be dancing when in the novel it was calligraphy and writing
I only feel bad for the bride. That Junriu was a piece of 💩 even with her. Did you hear how they met? The play…
by the time qingyu went to the village - they were already married and registered legally. but if they follow the novel, qingyu helped her dodge a bullet
