That’s just it. That’s the beauty of this love story. They are two opposite people who for some reason became friends. And as they spent time together, feelings developed at some point in time unknown to both. Unconsciously, the other became the most important person in their life to the point that one sacrificed his safe and pre-planned future just so he could stay in the other’s life while the other, through trial and error, let go of the life he had wanted/the life he had dreamed about for more than a decade so that the other would never hurt ever again.
It’s a quiet sort of love. It’s not about grand gestures, no airport chasing scene, no public declaration of courtship. Just two people who love to share meals together, appreciating the food while appreciating each other’s company..

The only person commenting on Kawi’s & Pisaeng’s attractiveness was Kawi himself which Pisaeng immediately shut down when he said ‘i haven’t seen anyone judge you yet, it’s only you who judges the rest of the world’. I see why bl shows gives us flat, one note characters whose only concern is getting with the other lead and with a bit of drama mixed in to stretch the show to 12 episodes. Those are easier to digest for a lot of people I guess.

The show has a tendency not to give prolonged airtime to side characters. Him saying anything to Kawi wasn’t important and Kawi at that stage would probably reject it anyway coz he wasn’t willing to accept help then. It was only after his talk with Max at the club that he realized his unwillingness to accept help.
He was there to ask for help, maybe even ready to beg. He wasn’t there expecting to receive help without him doing anything. Him running away was him rejecting pear’s help. For all his faults, Kawi is someone who puts in the effort in order to get what he wants. And that’s why he had the balls to go after pear while he can’t seem to accept even comprehend Pisaeng’s affection when he did nothing to earn it but that’s off tangent lol
Anyways, that part was all about Kawi and that’s why the youtube version shouldn’t have cut off that flashback with his dad 😫

He’s a surgeon. They don’t say yes or no before examining the patient or reading the patient’s files at least. There’s also professional courtesy, he wouldn’t want to step on other doctor’s toes. Most importantly, his yes or no didn’t matter in that particular scene lol that was all about Kawi and his penchant for rejecting help.
