Another enjoyable ep, I like how this show is carefully skirting most of the usual tropes, JUST BARELY dipping…
I mean besides kisses, Kawi and Pisaeng are very physical with each other. Kawi lets Pisaeng cuddle him in bed, lets Pisaeng sleep in his bed with him in it, kawi lets pisaeng lean into him, lets him take his hands, there is no sense of distance at all between them.
They have always been physical too. Kawi has let pisaeng drag him, let him pat his head, let pisaeng wipe his mouth. Kawi has never shied away from physical touches from pisaeng. He has always only rejected pisaeng verbally while still running after pisaeng aside from that first drunken kiss in ep 2.
As for why kawi is rejecting kisses, we could only speculate but Kawi definitely doesnât shy away from basic physicality. I would argue though that kisses are not âbasic physicalityâ when we take into account that this is Kawiâs real first relationship & theyâve been together less than 24 hours. If they have been together for a few months and Kawi would still not let pisaeng kiss him then Kawi definitely has issues but less than 24 hours? Eh i say give him time.

I mean just a few days ago he came from a future wherein he did take part in destroying Pear. His reaction is bound to be exaggerated. He lived a life where he had a hand in making everyone around him unhappy. He knows how terrible that future is for everyone except Not. He knows his faults. He has been harping about setting things straight so of course he would be extra anxious.
Was his reaction exaggerated? Oh yes but thatâs because he truly knows that shitty things can happen no matter what. He is so severely anxious of the future. Heâs not gonna be calm. It would honestly be weird if heâs all calm and dandy about the present when he saw that disaster of a future. That would be inconsistent.
Even in ep 8, he panicked and thought Pisaeng decided to leave for abroad earlier because by telling him the truth of the time travel it somehow affected the timeline and things were happening much faster. So Kawi was never calm.
Plus Pisaeng is already on his case. Pisaeng is trying or has already convinced Kawi to simply take one day at a time. Pisaeng has calmed him down.

Her reaction wasnât too much at all. I mean the first thing she did was to convince Not to keep Kawi & Pisaengâs relationship a secret. Plus instead of accusing Pisaeng, she instead calmly asked him to tell her the truth.
Sheâs reacting appropriately. She wasnât at all reacting like a betrayed lover which actually tells us she didnât like Kawi that way at all. Despite learning the truth, she dealt with Not in their behalf which she didnât have to do. That tells us sheâs a good friend. Willing to go above and beyond for her friends. Let us not invalidate her feelings just because neither Kawi nor Pisaeng âoweâ her anything. Sheâs allowed to feel whatever she is feeling.
Sheâs not going into hysterics. Sheâs not plotting against against them. She merely doesnât want to talk to Kawi at that moment. All she wants is time to process. And that is not too much.
