Well Kawi didn’t take anything they weren’t willing to give. He told pear & pisaeng point blank he couldn’t give them what they wanted. Disappointed them too many times. Yet they coddled him, forgave him, gave him everything even when they should have done was to give him a literal or figurative slap in the face. Ep 7 Kawi is inarguably terrible but Pear, Pisaeng & even Max had a hand in making him that way too.

Series is very different from the novel. That being said from the moment Kawi decided to stay in the past in the novel, it was all fluff from there which is about half of the book.
