Taht break up sounds terrible. I hate breakups, you really think its still worth watching?

I dont mind about that, but the break up... ugh. And I read its FLs who leaves and its not even her who chases him back... Sounds very annoying

- They get together in 14.
- There is a very short missunderstanding a few episodes later where she thinks he was part of a plot of the past, but its not annoying because its so short.
- No love triangles. Once, ML needs to get engaged to a princess, but its short and the princess doesnt like him either so it's solved without any problems.
- No annoying characters getting between them

So yeah, the romance is very lighthearted like I like them, but there also arent many satisfying scenes after they get together. It's alright

It started very good, but usually I enjoy romances more after they are together, and in this one it kind of stopped being entertaining after that point.
The main leads are great together, I liked their characters quite a lot. But as I said, nothing really interesting or satisfying happened with the romance after they got together. The show moved on to different uninteresting plots.

I just saw the scene and I dont completly agree. When I read this I was wondering why she would reject him after conefessing, even if it was under the effect of drugs. But it's important to notice that it was an aphrodisiac. So I dont see it as a confession, just as the effects of the aphorisiac

- This show, unlike most romances, is sweet already from episode 1, and it gets better with every episode
- They meet randomly in Cuba, and when they are back in Korea it turns out FL is the CEO of the hotel ML just starts working
- ML likes her from the start, and she is clearly interested too.
- Thanks to the help of some secondary characters who want to help her, they keep randomly meeting and slowly, he melts her cold shell (she is not rude or anything, and treats him nice from the start)
- They take small steps, from just having met in Cuba, to friends to more than friends and....
- In episode 6 they get together.
- They face quite some problemsm from third parties that want to separate them, but are always flawless to eachother. Until episode 13 their love is also unwavering and its a pleasure to watch how the problems melt against it.
- Their dynamic is the best. He is very joyful and wants to move forward, and its cool how while she is calm and takes things slower, she is not shy at all and moves forward with him without the typical Noona show bullshit. Not a single time does the age gap appear as a problem for example.
- So, after 13 amazing episodes, the bad part begins. Who causes it? FLs mother who treats her like shit? FLs ex mother in law who treats her like shit? Both have been trying to make them break up for 13 episodes. So, who manages to make them break up? Well none, it's MLs loving mother, who I wanted to finally meet FL so she would finally receive some warmth from a mother.... well nope. This fikin ass, manages in 1 minute what the other 2 powerful women didnt manage in 13 episodes. She goes against her son, her husband, and everybody in their circle who knows how amazing they are togeather, and talks to FL to beg her to break up with her son. And she, after having endured so much bullshit without bating an eye, does so.
- In episode 14 they still havent broken up, but you already know its going to happen so its pretty shitty already.
- Episode 15 they are apart, and episode 16 until the last 15 minutes they are apart.
- The last 15 minutes we get the happy ending.

Let me tell you one thing tho. I hate breakups, I hate short happy endings, if I would read this I may not watch the show.... and even with this, I rated this show 9.5. So imagine how good it is to have 3 episodes I hate and still get a 9.5

Just finished rewatching it.

First time I saw it, I loved episodes 1-13 and hated 14-16.
Second time, I loved 1-13 even more, and hated 14-16 even more. Not because those episodes are the worst there could be, but because they make an 11/10 show worse.

You know how rare it is to feel myself smiling like an idiot from episode 1-13? Almost no drama manages that. This show is so friking beautiful. I heard myself whispering "beautiful" many times.

One of the best romance dramas I have watched, and Ive seen 150 now.

Starting a rewatch of this marvelous drama! I enjoyed it so much a year ago.
Ill skip episodes 14 and 15 tho, what a pitty. This show would be a 10/10 without that crap

- Leads like eachother and act sweet to eatchother since very early, cant remember but maybe episode 2 or 3.
- They start acting like a real couple around episode 11 (just acting like one, not yet a real couple)
- They get together in 19 but in secret
- They publicly get together in 29 (at least among friends, elders dont know yet)

During the entire show they are flawless to eachother. Theres one moment at episode 27 or 28 where FL thinks he has done something to her father and "leaves him", but it takes about half an episode to realize it isnt true and getting fixed.

sML is interested in FL and trying to cause trouble, but leads are so great together since so early that it isnt annoying. Also because ML is so good at everything, he just always beats sML

This show doesnt have the typical politics or succesion topic of other period dramas which I find so boring. It's centered around 3 things, the leads romance, the academy where they study and around a few bad guys that did something bad in the past (and keep doing it).

I enjoyed it but Ill also say that its nothing to write home about. It's alright, but better than most period dramas if you dont like those typical boring politics and court topics.

There is no breakup. During a small time, she is sad because he doesnt want to tell her something about the past and she sleeps a few days with a friend instead of with him. But she specifically tells him "this is no breakup, just a quarrel"

Both leads love the other one like crazy, so dont worry, once they get together they are amazing. When she leaves those days its just a way of making preassure for him to tell her that secret, but it is not angsty at all
