A typical yet fresh high school K-drama here! Second lead syndrome hits hard though :(
Oh come on, Im reading how this show is beautiful and lighthearted ... and now I read it has a frikin love triangle. A show cant be lighhearted if it has an annoying love trianlge ¬¬
Romance recap:Episode 1: is a sad but beautiful introduction to the showEpisodes 2-20: are a bit too slow and…
So, what happens near the end that destroys FLs amazingness?
Theres a bad rumor going around the town, and FL finds out ML knew about it and didnt tell her so she doesnt worry. She gets totally mad at him and says absolute bullshit: that he looks down on her and that she thinks he thinks she only cares for money and wants to leech the town out of money and then move on.... what the hell did she smoke? They have been absolutly flawless. ML is a frikin saint and adores her. It makes absolutly no sense. Then he answers flawlesly: "I dont think like that at all, but if I made you think that, I am sorry" But she just walks away angry and starts avoiding him. But this isnt what made me angry. If FL would have calmed down and realized she was out of place and apologized to ML (he already did), it would have been fine. But noooooooooo, this is a drama and it looks like only guys need to apologize. So now ML is like a puppy behind this moron FL trying to apologize. And he finally does like a big ass apology where he says he was aboslutly wrong about everything, that he is going to change and blablabla. I would have really liked if he would have just ignored her until she came to sense. I really dare her to try to find a better guy than ML After that, they are fine and the show continues as if nothing had happened, both very sweet again. But for me, it destroyed her character. No matter how sweet she was after that, I even showed my middle finger to the screen when she appeard.
Really a pitty, that the most healthy show Ive seen, has to make this to FLs character.
Just finished it. Its a great show. But I was going to say amazing instead of great, before a small thing near…
Romance recap:
Episode 1: is a sad but beautiful introduction to the show Episodes 2-20: are a bit too slow and theres almost no romance. Still a very good watch tho Episode 11: I would say ML starts likeing her here. But its not like in other romances. Its just a feeling, but he doesnt do anything about it. Episode 16: FL starts.... not likeing but admiring ML and his purpose Episode 22: THey have their first moment. For me the romance starts here. And I dont mean they get together. Here the show finally starts focusing on their relationship. At some point its clear they both like eachother, but they dont get together because both know she has to leave town and go back to work in the city (very far) Episode 26: This episode is amazing. When I read a recap like this one, I read that in this episode he confesses but she leaves. I was dreading watching this, thinking it would be a confession, rejection and separation. But nonono. It is so sweet. She has to leave, and both know it and accept it. But he decides to confess in a very sweet way, in no way making her think he wants her to stay. Just letting her know that she has a man that likes her back here. She doesnt confess back, but she hugs him and says thank you for this gift. It is very sweet and not a bad separation at all. I even liked this scene more than the get together (obviously because I knew they end up together, otherwise I woudlnt have enjoyed it) Episode 30: she comes back because she decided to open a business in his town Episode 31: they get together
Episodes 19-32 are very focused on their romance. Sadly after they get together, the focus swifts again and the show becomes more like the first half, just showing scenes of many characters and little stories. The leads are amaizng together during this time, but I would have liked to see much more of them.
Also, near the end, in a show where absolutly every character has been flawless with everybody else, for some reasons scriptwriters decide to make FL look annoying. I explain more below
Just finished it. Its a great show. But I was going to say amazing instead of great, before a small thing near the ending made it worse.
The show is very slow. Too slow I would even say. But it is so cozy, so beautiful, it has amazing characters, all relationships are healthy and interesting.... it's a pleasure to watch even while being slow.
The first episode is very sad but at the same time beautiful. Then we get a part that is a bit too long in my opinion. Like I say its still great to watch, but stil takes a bit too long. Then the romance starts to slowly happen and the show is absolutly amazing in this part. When they finally get together tho, it switches again to be like at the start, focused on many other things. Its nice to see them together this time around, but their relationship here is again just secondary.
All in all, a great show, that would have been a 10/10 if it would have focused more on the romance part, and scriptwriters wouldnt have decided to do that annoying part near the end which made me drop the score to 85.
Of course episode 18, 19 is common, and fine. Not 31... I watch many slice of life dramas and like you say, about half the show to get together or even 60% is common. But this one is much later
Oh man, if it wasnt enough for them to take so frikin long, they also spend 5 episodes from the confession to the get together? I hope FL isnt annoying those 5 episodes making him wait
The ending was the most wtf I have ever seen and this drama has 9+ rating? what for? they look cute? smhand somehow…
Yes, I already read that sadly it takes them 31 episodes to get together. Well, I started it, I hope it wont feel draggy, 31 episodes is much more than I usually like to wait :P
Yes, there is a beautiful romance. It’s like having a front row seat to watching the leads fall in love!
Ouch, I see. I finally was going to give it a try, I watched the first episode already. But what you describe doesnt really sound like what I usually like.
But something doesnt make sense. You say romance here is like 40% of the show, and also that this show has much more sweet moemnts than you are my glory. That doesnt make sense. You are my glory is sweet moment after sweet moment. Except the 6 middle episodes where they quarrel, the rest is almost all the times the couple being great with eachother
Yes, there is a beautiful romance. It’s like having a front row seat to watching the leads fall in love!
Well, I always look for dramas where they are always nice to eachother, no breakup and if possible, get soon together. I still find 31 to be very late.
my old l&P buddies,is it only me who couldn’t move on from this masterpiece? i mean its been 2 months the drama…
ok, Im reading so many good comments like yours, but then a read a couple that make it sound terrible. DId I understand something wrong? I read that they break up from episode 20 to 35 (out of 36) Did I understand that wrong? Because that would be terrible. Also, that he treated her and her parents terrible before going to jail, to the point where she wanted to die. Again, did I read wrong? Because I wouldnt watch a show like that.

I've watched tons of cdramas were they get together around 16 or 17 from 32. 31 from 40 is pretty late. Needing 31 episodes to get together sounds quite draggy.
Of course, I haven't watched the show, I'm not saying it's bad, just that I'm considering if I should watch it because of that. Some shows, for example legend of Fei, they get together late, but it's fine because they were behaving like a couple long before that
