They had too many unanswered plot plots. For example, okay you explain that the love spell was neural coupling…
I'm with you. This fantasy romance show chucked the fantasy out the window halfway through (the reincarnation plotline doesn't count) and gave up on explaining anything while trying to distract us with a very cute romance.
Curse has 2 partsOne suffering from disease: it was reversed when HongJo does the spellThe other part is psychological…
Do I think that we the audience can make up our own very good theories on how the magic worked? Yes.
Did the show give us any real answers? No, and they shrugged the magic off like they couldn't be bothered and were annoyed that we wanted answers to the questions they raised. I was all in on the potential of this story but was very disappointed due to the lack of follow through on anything but the romance.
ETA: Also, for my curse theory - I think it ended because Shinyu died temporarily and therefore the curse was fulfilled or broken. But the show did not confirm this or any other theory.
Can someone spoil it for me ? Did they break the curse ?
Unfortunately, this show just gave up on the magic halfway through but Shinyu miraculously recovered from his incurable disease with zero explanation and basically a shrug from the characters.
Two of my favorite actors finally had a scene together: Ha Joon (Kwon Jae-kyung) and Kim Kwon (Haum CEO). KJK…
I've felt this whole time that Jaekyung is good and was just playing the villains these last few eps. Especially with the reveal that Hongjo recorded her confrontation with Nayeon, it gives me hope that Jaekyung is doing the same.
This is a show with black magic that forces people to do things against their will. In Ep5 look at the bloodied…
Yup, that proposal scene. While this show doled out a few answers along the way, it seems they are saving 90% of them for the finale tomorrow, especially regarding the magic. *sigh* I will say this: Nayeon has been caught in major lies at least 3 times so far. She is completely two-faced and can't be trusted.
I'm halfway through ep 9, the dude still has a fiancee while kissing and holding hands with FL..it freaking bothers…
This is a show with black magic that forces people to do things against their will. In Ep5 look at the bloodied wood signs and then rewatch the proposal scene very closely to see what Nayeon said when she grabbed Shinyu's hand. *wink*
okok im on episode 6 and the only thing im not liking atm is the fact that he wont break up with nayeon 😠even…
my speculation: nayeon put a curse on shinyu during her proposal to force him to stay with her which is why he has a very hard time being able to break free from her. watch the beginning of ep5 again: bloodied wood signs > shinyu: "what's wrong with me?" > flashback to proposal scene where nayeon holds shinyu's hand and tells him she's "not ready to let him go"
According to MBC's official Twitter, A Good Day To Be A Dog will air both Episode 1 and 2 back-to-back on October 11. It's unclear if this will continue for future broadcasts. source: https://twitter.com/mbcdrama_pre/status/1711199807094886477
Jaekyung specifically recruited Shinyu to join their government office to fight Haum construction and other corrupt companies. It was almost like Jaekyung was testing Shinyu's response to make sure Shinyu would still be on his side against Haum (and ultimately the mayor). I definitely think Jaekyung is playing along to gather evidence against the mayor and Haum.
Jaekyung called himself an otter and really is all of the below...
The otter symbolizes friendship, peace, kindness and family. The otter is also social and mischievous and a symbol of grace, empathy, happiness and never-ending curiosity. [from Spirits of the West Coast Art Gallery]
I'm looking forward to the next episode. I'm already invested in the main love triangle with the fitness trainer FL and I like two of the other potential couples as well with the FL's brothers. Basically, there are 3 badass women who are going to whip their men into shape, some literally. lol Plus the halmeoni on the lam is the best!
Jin Soo Wan has written masterpieces such as Moon Embracing the Sun, Chicago Typewriter (also time travel), and…
I'm not bashing this drama. CODA won Oscars and Back to the Future is still a beloved fan favorite movie almost 4 decades later. I'm also a big fan of time-travel stories in general. 12 Monkeys the tv series is one of my favorite shows and my first kdrama was Sisyphus: The Myth which I intentionally started watching because I was intrigued in how it did time-travel differently than I've seen before (and I'm one of the few people who was okay with the open ending).
I'm glad to hear to your praise this writer and their previous work which means we are in good hands for this story. As for originality, most stories take their ideas or inspiration from other stories but put their own spin on it. There's nothing wrong with that. Hotel Del Luna is a gender-swapped Beauty and the Beast retelling with ghosts, reincarnation and the red string of fate. Star Wars was based off of hero myths, sci-fi tv/novels and the Nazis. Before Squid Game, there was Battle Royale. The number of Cinderella throughlines I've seen in kdramas is legion. It's pretty clear that this show is inspired by the two movies. That's not a bad thing but it is an unusual combination which I'm curious to see how it will pan out.
Can we really say that 300k followers make a good influencer? I mean, I know of people with 50+ million followers…
This is about Korean influencers, not celebrities like actors and musical artists who get worldwide attention. I found a few Korean influencer lists: most are well under a million, a few are at around a million and then a couple have a few more with the top being 8.5 million followers [1][2]. Even in the West, micro-influencers are actually worth a lot to brands because they have loyal following [3].
