I realized that the King's nickname is Heoni and Sorang's real name (Ye Hyeon Seon) nickname is Seoni, so they would be Honey 🍯 & Sunny ☀️ couple. So fitting!
I don't think that they will be able to stop the villains from declaring "Ye Hyeon Seon" the winner of the Queen selection process. You have to give the villains a victory before their epic defeat. However, this is perfect because it will give So Rang the opportunity to publicly declare that she is the real Ye Hyeon Seon and reveal her stepmother's evil plot against her in her bid to put her biological daughter on the throne and implicate the Minister of Defense in killing the Crown Princess and others in his bid to rule by proxy. Then the Dowager Queen will have no choice but to let the real Ye Hyeon Seon stay the winner of the Queen selection process so So Rang will reclaim her nobility and marry the king after all.
In fact many of these dramas are not original Netflix projects, most of them are projects of local Korean channels…
Netflix is also doing alot co-production deals which means they are not just paying the licensing fee to show it but are also paying a portion of the production costs. Unfortunately, it's hard to know which shows they've done that on because they look like regular distribution deals in how they air.
Fish are a sign of abundance and wealth but they are also a sign of FERTILITY. Xiao Duo has now given Bu Yinlou three fish: a handmade kite, a purchased lantern, and a real one caught (with his good looks) and cooked. Now he's starting to talk about how he hasn't revealed that he's not a eunuch to her yet but he will soon. He's like (hint hint) have another fish. lol
Bu Yinlou says that Xiao Duo is the first person other than her mother to give her a lantern. I don't know if she is specifically referring to the Lantern Festival only. But it's significant that Emperor Fu has given her two handmade lanterns, one which she accidentally destroyed and the other one which Xiao Duo immediately confiscated, that mean nothing to her.
Also, it's significant that both the kite and lantern that Xiao Duo gave Bu Yinlou were goldfish, which symbolize abundance, wealth, luck, and making your dreams come true.
The thing that gave me hope that this might be a happy ending is Park Jin and Maidservant Kim's theoretical conversation about if you could only save one person and then concluding they have to save both because there is no other choice.
One of the things I’m surprisingly lovingly about the amnesia plot is that it has allowed Cho Yeong to be free to love Jang Uk unconditionally and openly. When she was Naksu/Mudeok, Yeong always held back her love. It was only in rare moments that she allowed herself to show or tell him that she loved him back. Now that Jang Uk is bearing the grief and guilt of what happened, this unencumbered Yeong is able to openly love him in a way that is helping him heal from his trauma. Hopefully, Uk will be healed enough by the time Yeong regains her memories that he will be emotionally ready to help her heal from her trauma. If they had reunited memories intact with their guilt at peak levels, I’m not sure they would be able to help each other. They would be happy to be together but torn apart by the guilt from their respective roles in what happened. This way they get to take turns caring for each other when they most need it to make their loving relationship even stronger.
The irony that Jin Hokyung is the true BLIND priestess who can't see what's right before her eyes. Before she couldn't see her daughter Buyeon was inside Mudeok, now she can't see her daughter Buyeon is not inside Cho Yeong.
Okay but Park Jin doesn't understand subtlety or prophecy at all; he didn't understand the real meaning of Master Seo's love poem either. He was wrong about almost everything he did to keep Jang Uk 'safe'. Do you really believe him now?
Master Seo was a King's Star-level mage which means he probably was invincible & immortal while he had the ice stone within him, like Jang Uk. However, he gave the ice stone to Jin Seolran to save her so he must have removed it from himself.
Jin Seolran didn't use the ice stone, dying shortly after, but the ice stone remained in the Jin vault for safe keeping. Master Seo started Songrim, trained Master Lee & died of old age which would mean removing the ice stone didn't kill him. Removing the ice stone just made Master Seo mortal again. If Jang Uk removed the ice stone to give to Cho Yeong, then he wouldn't die but would be able to be killed while trying to defend his love.
I'm not going to speculate if this will be a happy or sad ending because it feels like a coin toss at this point. But I don't think removing the ice stone will kill Jang Uk, it will just make him vulnerable. And what's a story without stakes.
Yes, Seo Hye Won is the fake Jin lady in AoS and she was the 'I have no chingu' cousin from Business Proposal.…
Yeah, I can only watch so many of the same genre at the same time too. I was also watching The Law Cafe at the time which is why I ended up putting One Dollar Lawyer on hold after one episode. Though I will probably pick it up eventually. D.O is a great actor and he is fun to watch in Bad Prosecutor.

I'm currently watching Cheer Up (which I liked so much I rewatched all the episodes during the Itaewon break), Love is for Suckers, and just finished Bad Prosecutor.
