Heo Yun Ok's crush on Jang Uk gives her something to do before she starts her real storyline, which I think is becoming a friends with our mains and falling in love with the Crown Prince. Even her maid mentioned CP as a long-shot marriage candidate, when really I've seen him as the front runner for Yun Ok this whole time.
Or he can be of any age if: 1) She was already married and had a son while in law school. And then she had an…
Anything is possible but not everything is probable. 1) It's unlikely she had two babies during law school. Or that her husband wouldn't have divorced her if she had an affair. 2) Divorce is still frowned upon in Korea. I don't see her being considered a good candidate, especially if she married a divorced man with a kid.
Which is why I think she got married and had a kid after graduating law school.
Since Tae Soomi was in law school at the same time as Youngwoo's father, Woo Gwangho, and Hanbada’s CEO, Han Seonyoung, it's likely that her son is 5 to 10 years younger than Youngwoo. Seeing as Tae Soomi probably graduated law school, started as a young lawyer, then got married and had a son a few years later. This means her son would be high school age and living at home which would explain why she was dismayed that he spent too much time on the computer, possibly implying he's a gamer. However, with how cunning and deceptive Tae Soomi appears to be, while this computer addiction may be a real thing, it also may be a way to deflect from publicly acknowledging her son has autism. This is absolutely something I can see her trying to hide in her quest to be the perfect candidate. Since the show has been hinting that Tae Soomi is also Woo Youngwoo's mother, this would mean both her children are autistic.
What do you mean? Jae Wook is not playing Jang Uk for part 2?
I have a theory that Naksu and Mudeok (who I think is the lost Jin daughter Buyeon) will permanently switch bodies. Then Go Yoon Jung, the actress who played the original Naksu, would play Jin Buyeon in Part 2. This is a large ensemble cast and the Hong Sisters said the world was big and had more stories to tell with all the characters but that doesn't mean that Jang Uk and Naksu will be the main leads of Part 2. If you want to tell a new yet continuing story, it would make sense to flesh out Jin Buyeon as the lead and give her a love interest. We've long wanted the 2ML to get the girl. It would be cool if Jin Buyeon and Seo Yul were the romantic leads for Part 2. Yul was always calling his birds. The Jin family has many birds and Buyeon is the ultimate lost bird that needs to be called home. I think meeting Naksu temporarily sidetracked him from finding his true love, Buyeon.
On a show that derives its title from a magical body swapping plot point, just because an actor is coming back for Part 2 does not mean they are playing the same character.
I think that Heo Yoon Ok from Sejukwon was brought on to make Mudeok jealous of Jang Uk but also eventually become the Crown Prince’s love interest. Yoon Ok seems to be a bit vain but also kind like the Crown Prince. Neither of them will be able to get in the way of the deep devotion that Jang Uk and Mudeok have for each other. However, they will be able to bond over not being able to be with the person they were initially attracted to and possibly grow as people by helping Jang Uk and Mudeok battle the Danju. Which is honestly going to be a lot for the Crown Prince since the enemy is his own mother. The Crown Prince needs someone who is on his side. That may be Heo Yoon Ok.
mudeok insisted the next day that she’s the one who broke herself free from the mirror. while there is some truth to this, it negates jang uk’s crucial part. mudeok had been stuck in the mirror for hours with no luck in breaking free despite her best efforts. once jang uk covered the mirror, it seemed to take away most of its power but mudeok was still stuck. after jang uk confessed that he wanted to find a way to keep her by his side and he missed her, they both put their hands on the mirror to try to reach out each to other. however, neither of them could see the other so they didn’t know they were doing this simultaneously. they were also ‘longing’ for each other (with a whole relationship montage of their greatest hits) on opposite sides of a mirror that was supposed to give you what you most longed for but was actually keeping them apart. this may have weakened the mirror’s power. also, when jang uk feels intense emotions some of his energy has escaped his bound wrist, like when he accidentally hit mudeok with a bowl when they were arguing. it’s possible that some of his energy leaked to mudeok and temporarily allowed her to access her powers to destroy the mirror and escape.
i don’t think it’s a coincidence that, when she temporarily got her power back to break the mirror, she said it felt like the surge she felt from lake gyeongcheondaeho (when she was able to unsheathe her sword). or that later on the beach mudeok said that her people would help her access her energy and jang uk says that he promised to do that for her (when she had asked him to be her lake gyeongcheondaeho).
there has been some discussion on the body of mudeok being jin buyeon and also possibly being a hiding place for the ice stone. however, if buyeon or the ice stone were able to help her access her powers, she would have done so earlier. jang uk seemed to be the key to helping her escape the mirror.
Jin Mu has had a long running scheme to achieve power and deceived the other families into believing Naksu's parents…
She was only Naksu to her assassins' guild which met in secret. This hid her birth name so she wouldn't need another identity in her ordinary life. It would be a bit much if Naksu/Mudeok had 4 names in this series. lol Also, they haven't established at exactly what age new recruits started training. Jang Uk seemed to be rejected from training as a mid-teen. This makes it likely that Seo Yul would have left home as a mid-teen to train at Songrim. So the time that Seo Yul and Naksu were hanging out in the tree probably would have been before they left to train. It also explains their long separation is due to leaving their childhood village.
Can you guys please drop your theories here. Aaaa can't wait for another episode :(
Jin Mu has had a long running scheme to achieve power and deceived the other families into believing Naksu's parents were a threat which is why they were killed. Also, Naksu is her assassin name. She actually has an original family name and she's from a prominent family. This is the name that Seo Yul knew her by when they were teens but this name hasn't been revealed to the audience yet. Those are a few theories I have.
Happy to have found this fan guide after I watched him in Tomorrow and DAYS! Very informative. Definitely going to be watching some of his older stuff. Also, ML when?!

Okay, If I can share my 2 cents on the drama.I also have to agree that the portrayal of suicide and mental illness…
In South Korea, they are preferring to watch Again My Life live but watch Tomorrow the next day on Netflix. Tomorrow has been in the Top 10 TV in South Korea for it's entire run and is currently #3 today.
I just realized that the mains are like The Wizard of Oz. Junwoong is Dorothy, who fell into a crazy world, just wants to get home to his family but decides to help everyone along the way. Ryeon is the Scarecrow, the brains of the operation who overthinks everything but will eventually find her way. Joonggil is the Tin Man, a cold gruff exterior that hides a huge heart devoted to those he loves. And Ryunggu, the Cowardly Lion, who avoided his issues but eventually met them head on.
So I Married an Anti-Fan (Choi Tae Joon, Choi Soo Young) - An idol-actor accidently gets a reporter fired and then they end up on a reality tv show where they have to live together. Enemies to Lovers.
Imitation (Jeong Ji So, Lee Jun Young) - A female kpop group grabs their last chance to make it in music, acting, and modeling after a tragedy. And the famous male kpop group they become entangled with along the way.
Let Me Be Your Knight (Jun In Sun, Lee Jun Young) - The singer-songwriter leader of a kpop group has a sleepwalking disorder. When the band’s manager tries to hire a live-in doctor to cure him, he mistakes an ordinary cash-strapped woman for her doctor twin sister. Hijinks ensue. There are also storylines for all the band members.
Touch Your Heart (Yoo In Na, Lee Dong Wook) - An actress, who wants to return after a long hiatus due to a scandal, starts working as a secretary to a lawyer to secretly prepare for a new role and ends up falling for her boss.
