This drama as a whole is wonderful. The acting was incredible. The characters drew me into the story from the very start, they kept me engaged the entire time, and I was able to get through any flaws in the story with very little frustration because the actors still made it believable and incredibly moving.
I was relieved that we were spared the teen fiction forbidden love trope of incest. Moo Young’s and Jin Kang’s love for each other goes beyond the connection of blood. They were both good-natured loving children who became the sole source of care, comfort, love, and joy for each other in a hopeless situation. This love was genuine and so deep that it was remembered by their hearts, and souls even before their minds were able to raise these memories from their traumatic and tragic past.
I was also relieved that even though they still chose a violent tragic death, it honored the depth of their love without question since neither MY or JK chose to murder the other.
DNA test? It's not something ordinary people do, and it's pricey.I though he acted the way he did because he knew…
MY is not an ordinary person. From a very early age he has demonstrated the ability to see things clearly , think things through and choose the best action for the best outcome.
Anger, vulnerability and even shock never changed this especially when it came to JK. When he was stabbed by her brother he still thought and acted quickly to protect her at all costs in an intelligent way.
I am not criticizing the actors . There should be a special award made just for these actors to win for making this episode so incredible despite the ridiculous writing.
They also deserve to win all the awards ever for their amazing work throughout this series :)
He didn't question her, because he had suspicions that they were siblings to begin with. This is shown when she…
I just copied and pasted some of my thoughts from my previous post.
It is so out of character for Moo Young to be so careless with Jin Kang's feelings or their relationship. I cannot imagine that he would just accept his concerns about the recent memory of their childhood without doing a personal in-depth investigation. (and simple DNA test)
No matter how vulnerable, Moo Young is perceptive and able to accurately judge the character and intention of others. He would never accept Jang Se Ran's word on anything and especially this.
Moo-Young is extremely composed and calculating even in the most unexpected intense and emotional situations. He never acts without thinking things through. He would never react so horrifically and irrationally to Se Ran's threats. (...as to murder someone on impulse )
The least I expected is that MY wouldn't just believe that witch, and do a DNA analysis or whatever it is called..…
Seriously. The acting was amazing as usual. I even watched it twice for this reason. But the writing was disappointing in this episode. Absolutely nothing MY did from beginning to end was within his character.
I am so disappointed in the story this episode. It is so out of character for Moo Young to be so careless with Jin Kang's feelings or their relationship. I cannot imagine that he would just accept his concerns regarding the recent memory of their childhood together without doing a personal in-depth investigation.
His actions after this are even more ridiculous. Moo Young is perceptive and able to accurately judge the character and intention of others. He would never accept Jang Se Ran's word on anything and especially this.

Do not watch this if you get depressed easily. Couldn't finish it... But still, i watched the end of the last…
"nothing special" This, not the subject matter, was the only truly depressing thing throughout most of this drama. This is especially true considering the wonderful performances and potential. The ending did not impact me either way. It just felt like more of the same.
I can only say that the ending did not save this drama from being an unrelatable disconnected mess acted out with sincerity and depth by truly gifted actors.
I do not mind stories that differ from my expectations when they involve well-written complex characters with complex stories, The Third Charm had neither. This drama speaks to the amazing talent of the actors who kept me engaged as I struggled through to the end despite their badly written characters and badly written story.
Thank you. Just watched Too Young to Die it was so much fun! I'm looking forward to the other titles to make the rest of this week's elliptical time fly by.
Does anyone know the song that is playing in the final scene as the leads go to the control tower? It is a male artist. It begins at about 1:10 with the lyrics " Don't walk away ..." in English before going into Korean lyrics.
Even when the show was airing, I would rewatch episodes while waiting for the next episode. It was uniquely comforting and gave me time to reflect on the characters and story.
I could hug this drama it makes me so happy! Every character is so charming and they all have such great chemistry together. I think I smiled through the entire episode today. :)
