One of the best ♥ Pure 10, from me! I love it! ♥♥♥SEASON 2, please :D That would be very, very nice! They…
Agreed Absolute 10! This was the best Life on Mars by far! And yes, for the first time ever I actually feel this cast could do a second season without the risk of losing the unique atmosphere and chemistry of this first season. <3 Thank you Life on Mars Korea!
I just watched episode 15 and... WOW! It was the best episode of the show. But I think I'm gonna hate the ending.
I was hit with so much emotion and immediate tears when the 1988 team appeared, and then at the end of the episode endless tears. This show is amazing.
Me too, given her age r.n, she might collapse anytime soon & I don't think I can bear the sadness if that day…
I looked it up. Chihuahuas have a lifespan of 15 - 20 years! I am hoping that her adorable character lives happily ever after with her family in this drama getting lots of screen time.
Loved every moment. This really touched me, i'm thankfull for this, i hope can find comfort too.
"This really touched me, I'm thankful for this" This sums up all my feelings for this drama that I have not been able to put into words for over two months now. Thank you.
The ending might seem open and ambiguous, but if you look closely it is not so open:https://givemeslippers.wordpress.com/2018/06/23/my-ahjussi-ending-a-promise-of-more/
I don't know if it's because this is a western series remake or something but this drama has no tension. No emotion.…
1) For me, the tension and emotional investment in this drama is so high that I am hanging on every moment
The male lead, Han Tae Joo, forms meaningful relationships with the other characters in 1988. These relationships evolve and deepen over time throughout each episode. Han Tae Joo himself also evolves because of these relationships.
He realistically expresses a wide range of emotions and he is beyond driven to solve the cases motivated by his desire to change/return to his present life and also by his deep emotional investment in his 1988 life. His performance is mesmerizing.
2) In whatever form they may exist, the 1988 places, characters and events are dynamic and richly detailed. I felt an immediate connection and as this series winds down, I am not ready to let them go. The chemistry of this team is amazing!
Ms Yoon's duties are limited to getting coffee and clerical work. Due to Tae Joo's influence, the team discovers that she is educated, has keen observational and deductive reasoning skills, and to everyone's surprise, she is fearlessly kick-ass! She even has plans outside of work.
There are also hints into Kang Dong Cheol's private life including anniversaries, arguments, hangovers, etc. His backstory is revealed in ep 13. His character also evolves very naturally as do Lee Yong ki and Jo Nam Shik .
If I saw one or another negative comment towards him here was just that. People here like him very much since…
I would not be concerned. Seo Kang Joon has created "second-lead" characters so endearing and memorable that they are discussed long after the drama ends. I think that the article you mention most likely was written with the sole purpose of provoking people into looking at it out of curiosity to increase traffic on the site ("click-bait"). There is no substance to the article and it sites only a few generic poorly written quotes that lack insight or creativity. They should not try to pass this off as entertainment news. It is not exactly news to find negative comments about any popular celebrity that are written for easy laughs or responses. This is especially true when the role of a robot offers such an obvious play on words in regards to poor acting.
I find it also helps to rewatch some of the earlier episodes of a postponed series. Episodes 2 and 3 of Life on…
I can relate to being impatient. At times I am so impatient that I will binge watch a completed show but skip over unlikable characters and cliches just to see my favorite characters or storyline. XD
You may want to try the currently airing Korean remake of Life on Mars. It's very well done and very enjoyable.
The female lead is not a superficial strong independent character. She is a police officer (played by Go Ah Sung ) living in 1988 Korea. Her character development does not end up with her becoming a cliche. At this point, there is not a romantic couple and there is no sex or kissing yet. But the drama deals with the other adult situations realistically.

Life on Mars is not a romantic drama. But the story, characters, and events are realistic even thought the main lead wakes up in 1988 Korea. The characters are all very independent adults and the relationships they form while working together feel natural. The bit of romantic interest that may develop between two characters is not the focus at this point, but their relationship feels genuine.
Kdrama addiction - ( I shamelessly watch raw, read live recaps, and watch with subs for My Mister and now Life on Mars) Second Lead Syndrome ( Heirs and Cheese in the Trap were just tragic), and Kdrama Burnout (Got over it with Variety Shows). Fun article!
Ummm .. I am asking this since it sounds like you watched it , am still at the first 3 episodes , but I don't…
I agree completely agree with you about So Bong's father and his gang. There is no place for this type of "acting" or "humor" in this story or most others. It is so frustrating whenever they appear and disrupt the experience of watching a drama.
Hi, can MDL do something about people reviewing a drama before it finishes? Because it makes absolutely 0 sense…
I do not write reviews and I know that it is an unpopular opinion, but I always found reading the reviews that were written while airing helpful when choosing newer dramas. It was easier than reading all the comments. Maybe if they had a way to tag them as airing reviews and completed /final reviews.
