"Youngsoo had no reason (to ki1ll sol). Don't try to understand him, he's just born to be a bad guy & unfortunately…
he literally was though.. them being hurt by him was a canon event in every single timeline yet in this one they just miraculously don't get hurt... he escapes captivity, escapes prison, is always a threat to them specifically, yet suddenly a lil car crash stops him. it makes no sense. it's stupid to build up half your show like a thriller then absolutely drop the ball with four episodes to go. also he tried to kidnap his fan... when in a timeline sol is mistaken for the fan... i'm sorry but with any explanation the math does not math!

oh so now i'm ANGRY. that's such a cop out!! not to mention, makes ZERO sense!!! maybe in the past, but not for the present- why did he keep being a threat????? and to ultimately get rid of him so easily? so this time prison will stick??? it was stupid!!
I agree. His statement makes no sense if he and his wife started dating in 2016. Looking at his credits in MDL,…
in the context of public figures "poor" doesn't need to equate to starving - it's more about the expectations of wealth and them making mayhaps an average office worker income. if he was renting a one bedroom apartment eating ramen a few times a week he could have definitely considered himself "poor".
but also, you wrongly presume he would have gotten paid a lot of money. just bc he's billed as a lead in 2013 doesn't mean he would have been getting as much as say, kim jaewook as a lead in 2013. a western example as a comparative: both anne hathaway and her male costar were LEADS of her recent romcom - she got 7 million dollars. he got 400 thousand. you're also looking at when those movies AIRED not when they were filmed. he could have had steady releases but gone without a job for months. again, for comparison, that same movie was filmed in 2022. it didn't release until 2024. did he have advertisements? was he doing variety? winning awards? a household name?
not to mention if you get paid maybe in the range of 50-100k or even 200-500k, you have to pay taxes, your agents and managers take a cut, you pay your stylist per look, need to pay hair and make up, not to mention gyms, trainers, supplements, any type of treatments, etc. getting let's say 50k for three months of filming and god knows how many more months of finding a job before that and after, it basically comes down to basic annual income, or making ends meat. an actress actually broke down how much money she made off a 22ep per season show that lasted about 5 or so seasons. it was in the end less than what someone with a 9-5 would bring in. she was working 14hr days. if we compare that, he definitely would not have been a catch.
People, it's this your first time in Korean dramas?Korean culture is extremely fatphobic, always has been and…
1) they do 2) it's not my first kdrama nor my first time seeing fatphobia in a kdrama 3) just bc that's part of their social norms doesn't mean it's right. some cultures were cannibals and we don't sit here saying "that's how they are".
and most importantly 4) i get to make valid criticism without being implied that I'M(?????) somehow ignorant?

that doesn't mean it's right lmao
like i don't understand why your reply to valid criticism is: that's just what they think/how they do it. i know it is and it's far from my first kdrama. however i get to call a spade a spade - and a crap fatphobic storyline a crap fatphobic storyline.
no change ever happened by people simply saying "well it is what it is"
and to clear up: i was never shocked, i was disappointed. i will NEVER "get used" to this, just how i won't get used to their colorism or racism. and no one should. we need to hold society to a standard.
the main plot is definitely what's keeping me so i am giving them a chance to hopefully improve upon the sister's storyline however i believe we as a society should have moved beyond the need of having to learn that fat people are human
a great storyline definitely could have been made even with unfortunately utilizing a fatsuit bc i understand they'd need an actress who can do both. there's definitely a level of eating disorder there and if it was handled well it could have been wonderful. imagine actually having a fat actress play the role where the character gets to be fat and fly after sorting out her emotions? it's not so much about her however as much as it's ultimately pushing forth some very negative ideas and stigmas around fatness.
......please realise how disgusting what you just said is
fat people are not ugly fat people can be and are beautiful and do not deserve the treatment they get on the show. so far both the FL and her sister who are praised as beautiful are awful yet no one is writing comments on their looks. maybe try to read within the lines of what i am trying to say and how the treatment both onscreen and off is awful. you probably aren't impacted by this, i'm not directly impacted either, but your friends definitely are. and if you tell them you think this way - imagine coming to your friend and telling them being fat makes them ugly?
How was the FL able to see the ML when that didn't happen yet? I mean the ML didn't even had any idea he used…
it's the bootstrap paradox, probably the most common one in time travel concepts: a paradox of time travel that occurs when any event, such as an action, information, an object, or a person, ultimately causes itself. these things are not to be explained, only accepted as a misproduct of time-travel.
Because she is definitely going to go back to her old self in coming episodes, so they made her wear a fat suit,…
they could have at least done it respectfully then. the scenes are awful to watch with the way they talk about her and her weight. and to think she'll just have a "glow up" moment is nasty. people get to call that out
Why is this drama so fat phobic? It’s very distressing to watch. And I am not fat (I have a BMI of 19 or 20…
glad to find someone who thinks the same! haven't gotten past the gym scene yet.... and idk if i even can. i feel for anyone watching this who will be made to feel like shit
