I mean Asaba amazing, and I love his interaction with Kiki, they look like inspiring, challenging each other,…
I get what you meant and in a way, I do agree with it but only to a certain extent. When you love someone, you should not be afraid to share things that matters to you. And, you should not be afraid to ask/'probe' further on these important things.
Riho knows that Asaba used to love sweets when he was a kid. But she did not really ask why he didn't like it anymore. And Asaba didn't really wanna share the exact reason. As for Kiki - she keeps asking the reason why because it doesn't really make sense that he used to love sweets before but not anymore. She knows that there must be a good reason behind it and Asaba trusted her enough and simply explain the reason why.
This kind of 'relationship' runs deeper than a teacher-student type of relationship and Riho knows this. Riho realized that even if she's in front of Asaba, he didn't even 'look at her' where as when it comes to Kiki, even if she's not in front of Asaba, he often 'looks at her' i.e. reading through her comments, be on alert of how's she doing at work etc.
As for Kiki and Makoto, I have nothing against them but the emotional connections between Asaba and Kiki are those of a lover. Kiki and Makoto are more towards good friends/ best buddy kind of relationship.
Just finished ep 8. hmmm... If we take it as is, seems like the wind is finally changing its direction and blowing towards Asaba and Kiki. But.... I'm worried that the writer are 'playing' with us on this. Why?
Mainly becoz the way Riho broke up with Asaba is so cool. I mean, Riho is not the typical villain where they manipulate the whole situation just to get the ML. If so, it'll be obvious that there's no way the ML would end up with such a character.
But with this kind of break up - even I am beginning to root for Riho (just a figure of speech though). The writer is trying to 'persuade' us to 'accept' Asaba and Riho. And there lies the possibility that Asaba could end up with Riho.
Sigh... should have waited till this drama completed so I could at least 'take a peek' at the end. HAHAHAHAHAH
Don't get me wrong, I like all 4 main lead but I'm diving into this drama with a wishful thinking that Asaba and Kiki would end up together. And after ep. 7, I realize that they aren't?... Sigh... Can't bear to continue the rest of the episodes (hihihi).
