Man to Man is SO fun!!! I particularly love the bromance, it's one of the bestsTen Miles of Peach Blossoms managed…
@Geez it sounds like we are a bit similar. I also am crazy for romcoms. I try to avoid tear jerkers. I like when dramas do not take themselves too seriously. If you are looking for something new to watch, you should absolutely go to my profile and click on lists. I think we might have pretty similar taste in dramas. I have created a bunch of themed lists and have all of my favorite romcoms separated by countries too.
'Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms/Eternal Love' is wonderful! Sadly I have already re-watched that one very recently... or I would be all about re-watching that one again. (I have also watched the two related dramas: 'Love and Destiny' and Pillow Book. Both great. )
- A few dramas that have made me smile lately are: 'Under the Power' - It is described as a Historical, Romance, Investigation, mystery. Personally, I think it is more of a Historical Romance, action adventure, with a little dose of humor. I happen to love how funny and adorable Tan Songyun is, in everything she does. ... and Ren Jia Lun plays my favorite sort of leading man, in this. A little arrogant, does not let any emotions show, does his job(in this case investigating, jailing, sometimes torturing, and sometimes killing) without flinching or showing any hesitation or weakness... However, as the drama unfolds, you start to see his human side. I love a fluffy sweet modern day romantic comedy. The most recent Fluffies I have enjoyed are: 'The Brightest Star In the Sky' - Z. Tao was adorable, in the leading male role. Janice Wu plays opposite of him. She is always a bit quirky. This one is totally worth watching, even if it is only for the soundtrack and Z. Tao. It has a cute love story. (Music industry setting) 'Skating Into Love' - again staring Janice Wu, but this time, with Steven Zhang. - A much better pairing for her, imo. I am still watching it, but believe I can safely say it will finish out as cute as it started. This one is more of a comedy than TBSITS (Ice Sports setting) For a quick laugh, 'The Boy Next Door' Web-series was a silly kind of funny. (most of the humor is based on the misunderstanding that 2 male neighbors are a gay couple)
Finished it today, and even though I saw a lot of others complaining about the way it ended, I was happy with it. I hope they do more dramas in this setting. Anyone know if there are any in the works? I have already watched Eternal Love/10miles of peachblossoms and Love and Destiny
So from my perspective, i feel like she kind of felt something from the beginning (episode 1) prob not big, but…
Oh, that is interesting! I am not sure if the gun shows romantic interest... He did seem to genuinely be impressed with her weapon design... so maybe just the kind of thing you would do for someone that you found out has the same hobby as you, so you bond a bit. In the drama version, for me, I think there are some signs of being "interested", at least, early on. However, there is some stuff that makes me think, I am reading too much into it. The *signs*, I think showed interest, were: 1. He kept allowing her to do work stuff with him.(It almost seemed like he took any opportunity/excuse to be with her). 2. She kept accidentally or on purpose having skinship with him. I think it was only the first or second time, he seemed annoyed or on guard, but after, did not complain or rush her off of him.). - Now for the stuff I am iffy on: On the boat he is already calling her his person and involving her, so I think for sure interested in her... but as her superior, it could be natural for him to try to protect all of the people working under him. Also, just taking an interest in fostering a promising junior. Same kind of thing at the spooky ghost house. He seemed very touched that she felt safe and protected around him. I can only imagine, with the Embroidered Guard's bloody and ruthless reputation, he does not usually get that kind of trust. I think, he was definitely romantically interested/if not already "in love", by the day Yan Shi Fan drugged her and gave her to Lu Yi as a "present". - I think this is supported, by the fact that he personally fed her. Then, the following day, after that incident, he openly opposed the marriage proposal from XX. Other possible scenes: The time she played the harp, and stole the wanted drawing, seemed like he was not into her yet, but I think it went a long way in making him see her as a woman. The walk in the rain, with the cat, could go either way, for me. She could just be a junior he was trying to help learn and take care of a bit... but on the other hand, it seemed a bit like a date.
When do you think Lu Yi started falling for Yuan Ji Xia? and why do you think that was the moment? As I re-watch, I feel like many earlier scenes hinted to him being interested, and even possessive, than my initial thoughts, when 1st watching. Remember to mark your answers as a spoiler. - I have to wait for an english translation, so I would love to hear the thoughts of those who read the novel too.
Hahaha! This is how Ren Jialun looks all the time as far as I'm concerned - grumpy and sour. Somehow, this grumpiness…
Just have to say I agree with @ChineseDramaFan. I adore a good tsundere ML. This character is really hitting the mark, for me. At first, not only did I think the actor was an interesting choice(due to his sometimes ferocious stare), but also the character, as a ML( being so violent, seemingly without a conscience). He comes off as a villain, in the beginning episode. Not only did it have me wondering if I should warm up to him and ship, but if I could, after seeing that. Later, of course, we see him being so patient with our fl and protecting her at risk of his life. Seeing how he has to try to stay emotionless, to do his job, makes him start to seem like the victim of his circumstances. Then, I couldn't help but be warmed and shipping hard.
This drama was quite adorable. It does not take itself too seriously. Has a happy/fun ending for some quirky and…
Spoiler: In the last episode, for a minute, they let you think the female lead died in a car accident. It is a "prank" the female lead is pulling on the male lead. It has been a bit, since I watch the 1st half. There might have been a similar "prank" done by the leading man??, earlier, too. No one dies.
This drama was quite adorable. It does not take itself too seriously. Has a happy/fun ending for some quirky and likable characters. I loved the overall love story. The male lead loves 1st and pursues the female lead. It even has elements of an unrequited love, since there is a patience and generosity in the way the male lead expresses his love. It got a tiny bit slow for me, toward the end, then it took a long time for me to finally sit down to watch the last 3 episodes. However the last episode was very satisfying and worth the watch. If you are like me... and need to be braced for any sad moments, and if those will ruin the mood, if you are not prepared... read spoiler below.
where are you watching it? I had put this on hold, because ep 9 never appeared... now I see it is on the site, I was watching on,(also 10) but won't load.
are you talking about ten miles of peach blossom? No, because the story between them in it was made up because…
TMoPB is, believe, the more commonly used name. Eternal Love is the title Viki uses. Interesting that they do not have the story rights, but can still use all of the characters, etc... I won't pretend to know the rules in China for copyright though... I went ahead and rewatched, and it was just nice to see it again, to refresh my memory. Looks like they are using different storylines to get to some of the same main events. Definitely giving a different perspective on DHDJ. The timeline is a complete mess, compared to Eternal Love. I can only imagine, it is because they wanted to make A-Li a main character, throughout.
It's not time yet. Honestly it looks more real this way, their relationship is developing more naturally, first…
I finally finished it today. The couple does "get together", but there are very few love/skinship scenes. It felt a little anti-climactic to me... Early on, I shipped the main couple but by the time they finally got together, I was already over them, as a couple. I don't want to say that there was no chemistry... but it was more like, the chemistry that was between them did not feel much like lovers to me. Not a bad drama though. I really like the second lead character, and some of the side characters are fun.
Still no ending episode today ep 25 and 26 supposed to be aired today but they didn't
... ah. I thought maybe it was following a particular mythology or storyline of one of the related dramas... There is not a tragedy tag, so I will cross my fingers then and hope the writers want to give a happy/satisfying ending. I try to stay away from tragedies because I have been known to cry for days after an unexpected tragic ending.
