noticed this is in the coming soon section on Viki saying 3 days.... Even though, I am not sure if I will love the movie version, I am still excited to give it a try. Love that Park Hae Jin is in it. I thought he was the perfect actor in that role. I really enjoyed the drama and tend to be someone that like details, so I am a little afraid it will lose too much of the necessary story in the a movie version. (Hoping this will not be a Pride and Prejudice situation. I am a huge fan of the book and the BBC mini series with Colin Firth, and expected to love the movie too. However, imo, it was an abomination. They lost too many important scenes and I also think the casting was not well.).... I will definitely come back and give my opinion after watching later in the week. If it is too bad, I will just follow it up with another re-watch of the drama series.

The subbed version is available on YouTube and Amazon Prime (US only, it seems).
Thankyou

Gotta say, the Chuck and Blair romance was also my fav, while watching. Although, for a bit, I was really rooting for Blair and Dan. Honestly, Rewatching it for a second time, changes how you look at things alot too. The first time through, you see Dan as this really nice guy, who just keeps getting wrapped up in Serena's stuff, but the whole while ... right? Fantasy cast. Who would you choose to play Chuck in a chinese version? A few years ago, I would have said Vin Zhang, but he is probably too old for the part now.

There have been rumors of planned Gossip Girl remakes, that never came to pass. It is my most wanted show to be remade by other countries. Of course, I would really like a true remake, but even if it is just loosely inspired by GG, that is entertaining, I will be excited to watch it.

I agree with you. This is funny and nice drama to watch. People should watch dramas and enjoy it for drama itself…
I would agree if this was just a divorce. When you compare his situation with that of Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo, who filed for divorce around the same time, you can see it is not simply due to a divorce. There were nasty accusations about one another from both sides. He is actually suffering the effects of his own actions and his own choices. However, the writer, and fellow actors may be suffering from lower ratings, through no fault of their own, which may reflect in their pay for their next projects. In my opinion, it is most unfair for them.

Personally, I think they should have replaced him, instead of moving forward with him as the lead. If they just had to have him, then they should have shelved it and aired it after this had blown over. It is only been 3 months since the scandal broke. I never really liked him that much, to begin with. It is a shame that his fellow actors have to suffer the negative feedback because he did not manage his personal life well. I love Kim Seul Gi and Oh Yeon Seo both, so I am going to try to give it a chance.

Title The Story of Ming Lan Spoiler
I'm definitely going to re-watch this at some point! I often watch my favorite scenes especially each time Gu…
sounds like you like the action. I like all the little things that reveal a bit about their relationships. - When they are taking the class together and Second Uncle Gu tells Yanruo to wait and watch, because she can handle herself. - When he argues publicly with Ming Lan about her ruining his marriage talks, and threatened to marry her. - When she has the private meeting with Yanruo at the party, and he is jealous and gets bent out of shape. - When they argue on their way back from visiting, and he tells her he thinks he has felt drunk ever since fishing her out of the river... I also like some of the scenes they show with Yanruo that contrast what type of relationship he had with her. - He tried pursuing her with presents. - He kept being too obvious, risking her reputation. - He made promises that he had no way of keeping....

Title The Story of Ming Lan Spoiler
I'm watching Ming Lan the first time right now, at ep 17. Although I really love it and also like the slow pace,…
If it helps to get through the difficult patches, most of the characters basically get the endings they deserve. ... and you are coming up to the some really fun episodes soon. Somewhere between ep 21 and 23, it gets interesting. warning: second half of ep 27 is very heavy and sad.

I watched this when it aired. Just starting to re-watch.. it is quite long, so wondering if I will be tempted to skip ahead “to the good parts”... or if I will Want to savor every second, like I did, the first time I watched it.

The last show by the writer strong woman was a mega hit in Korea so I guess they were hoping success will be repeated.
Strong Woman Do seemed like it was going to be stupid, but it was so freaking adorable. I loved it... so I guess I can see why they would give it a go. Thanks. that makes a lot of sense

The only good part of this drama was the shower scene. That's it... It's so bad I can't stop watching ... have…
lol. ... but agree, that shower scene was very good. Probably one of the best love scenes I have seen in a drama.
On Melting Me Softly Nov 7, 2019
I really wanted to like this, because I like both of leads and there are so many other great character actors playing side characters as well. The love scenes are some of the best I have seen for chemistry. You know they are good, when you are wondering if the actors are really this convincing, or if they are/want to be lovers in real life. The story/writing is just bad, though. I am really curious what got so many big names/great actors to sign on for this one???

Title Kuzu no Honkai Spoiler
Can someone please tell me how this ends?
All SPOILERs!!!

The teachers marry. Mugi and Hanabi mutually decide it is too easy to fall into the same patterns in their relationship, so they go their separate ways. Hanabi comes out of her "loner" shell and starts socializing with other girls and eventually mends her friendship with Ebato.

What to say??? 1st: Does Sakurada Dori only do these very racy roles? I have only seen him in two dramas so far, and both were very racy. 2nd: This does have a lot of sexual content, so... you have been warned. 3rd: It is not like this was a compelling story, or is even close to reality. However, somehow, I just couldn't stop watching because I wanted to know how these dysfunctional relationships would play out/end up. ... and these are not sympathetic characters. Some more than others, but they are all quite flawed. Considering the type of drama it was, I was actually not that disappointed with the ending.

Best reverse harem I have ever watched. Not meant to take too seriously. fun flirty swoon scenes, with each of the "possible" true loves. Is there supposed to be a season 2? They definitely left it open for one.

Sameee I've been looking too for someone who has licensed the drama but I can't find it
Here is an update on the Subs. I still have 3 episodes to go, but think I have seen enough to give a review on the subs. Where to start..... Sadly, I can not say they are great. I will say that despite the issues with the subs, I am still really glad I bought it. For me, the positives outweigh the negatives. (Positives being that it is available to buy, price is reasonable, and the video quality of the first couple episodes being better than what I have seen on you tube and other sites)
Negatives:
1. There are missing subs.
- They do not sub any scenes that have been subbed at another time in the drama. This means all recaps at the beginning of the episode, flashbacks during episodes, and previews at the end of episodes do not have subs. (this is very annoying to me, since I am all about the romance and it is usually the romantic scenes that get flashbacks)
- No subs for song lyrics when her class is singing together at the grad night dinner
- No sub for part of the news cast talking about the house collapse. (The important part is subbed, but still...)
- occasionally there is a line that is not subbed. (not many. I have not been keeping track, but I am pretty sure it is less than 10 for the entire drama. Not including recaps, previews, news cast and song lyrics, of course) It is usually unimportant, like a comment by a side character, medical terminology or when main character is mumbling, or talking nonsense. (If I had not already watched it many times and know when it is not important, I would definitely be wondering if I did miss something important.)
(disclaimer: I am very used to watching Viki and often watch episodes before they are 100% subbed. To be honest, having a few missing subs does not bother me. My main complaint is that it feels so lazy that they did not even sub the flashbacks and recaps.)
2. they do not translate anything in writing. (again, this is something that would be bothersome, if I had not watched it several times before and know what is on the sign, know that the letter will be read later...)
3. No explanations for phrases that may not make sense in English... but now that I think about it, I don't remember seeing any idioms in the subs that I did not understand, which has me wondering if they translated the meaning instead of word for word. hmmm...
- I do not speak the language, so I can not comment on the accuracy, except to say: The subs do not seem awkwardly worded. There were a couple of spots that I did notice that the way it was translated was slightly different than what I had seen before.
I believe it came from Hello Panda : https://www.ebay.com/itm/It-Started-with-a-Kiss-Taiwanese-drama-DVD-10-Disc-GOOD-ENG-SUB/273982349216?hash=item3fca9edfa0:g:j-kAAOSwEhNdQv4y

best remake of Itazura Na Kiss. Joe Cheng was perfect for Zhi Shu. He seemed more realistic and human here than…
I still think of Kiss Me as a live version of Itazura Na Kiss, although, I do understand why you might not accept it as that, since they did make quite a few changes. Having seen every version, it didn't really bother me that they took a few liberties, since I think they shared a bit of Thai culture through those changes.
I totally agree about Joe Cheng. His portrayal was the most human, which made it more understandable why the leading lady was never able to completely walk away from him.
