I have liked it, so far. They have kept the mystery going up until last weekends episodes, and just when you think you know everything, they threw in a twist reveal. I don't even have a guess of where this new twist will take the story. I personally like the 3 main actors/actress. As long as you don't dislike any of them, you should give it a shot.
Honestly, I really enjoyed this. Maybe it helped that I have not read the manga and really don't know how things…
I agree. I also really liked it. I especially didn't understand when people complained that certain scenes of the female were awkward. The whole point was that that character was hesitant and awkward about love and the lead male was all about work. I loved that the love story was being told like a mystery too.
I am really enjoying it. Looking forward to episodes of this more than anything else I am watching atm. (also watching Watcher, Hotel Del Luna, Level up, Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung, and I Don't Love you yet). I happen to already like the male lead from having seen him in Marriage Not Dating. I don't recall seeing the female lead before. So far, I think she is doing a decent job. The story is so interesting. I love the mystery aspect. Hoping they are not revealing too much too soon.
I am only on episode 11, but have to say the adorableness knows no bounds. I did have to look up what was up with her hairstyle... apparently it is a trope and the hairstyle is sometimes referred to as the "idiot" hairstyle. I love older dramas like this. Wish the new ones would stick with this winning formula. Of course, a good comedic actress like Ella goes a long way in making the drama too. At first, I didn't really like Jerry Yan because I thought he was just too handsome to be a believable couple with Ella's character... but I am starting to really love him. Any other Jerry Yan dramas I should try to watch? While I am at it, are there any other Ella dramas as adorable as this one(other than Hana Kimi)? I would love some recommendations.
I really enjoyed the first episode. Since this is on Kocowa, I will have to save up a couple weeks episodes and binge them at once with the day pass. That is fine, since it feels like it is moving a bit slowly, for some reason, to me.
Just watched the first couple minutes of ep 1 and had to stop to comment. I laughed so hard about the ladies who were upset saying "you've been reading a story in which they don't even end up together?" "I'm speechless. How can you call this a romance novel".... I totally identify with these ladies. That is totally me, when I watch a drama I am expecting to have a lovely adorable ending and then surprise, everyone dies.
Sameee I've been looking too for someone who has licensed the drama but I can't find it
I finally found a copy of the dvd to buy.(on eBay) seller says it has good eng subs. I bought 1 and they have 2 more copies left. Crossing my fingers that it really does have good eng suns. Shipping is estimated to be a month... now to find season 2 they kiss again with eng subs.
Sometimes the number of episodes depends on where you watch it. where did you watch it?
I don't remember how many ep. there were in the Dramafever version, but I do see that the dvds for sale on ebay list 30 ep. too. Oh, how I wish I could find it on dvd subbed in english. I desperately want to have my own copy, just in case it becomes unavailable online. Can only find it with mandarin/cantonese though.
I might be of an unpopular opinion here and keep wondering if I watched same drama as others. FL in this drama…
I don't think she was written as a weak female character at all. Instead, I think the message is that humans are all weak in front of the person they love. She was not the only one that had awkward, shy, and vulnerable moments. Way more than her, the male lead did all sort of things for and because of her. Being well educated, accomplished in your field, and being natural in front of strangers you are not romantically interested in, will not be an indicator of being or not being shy in front of the person you have a crush on. Zheng Hui was equally as educated as her and was quite tongue tied in front of her, when it came to saying his feelings. When you find that person you really love, you want to do everything you can for that person... but in doing that, she still didn't sacrifice anything. She never gave up on anything important in her life and he didn't ask her to either. She continued her singing, she continued her studies, she turned down his first real proposal, she continued with her friendships. She was not oblivious to how much effort she made to navigate his ever changing mood either. She was mindful, not to lose herself and even said so to her mom.
It is just you. lol. It is NOT that they are mediocre, just that you are probably not watching the appropriate…
if you did not mean Honey as an intimate term(and I know you didn't, since there is no relationship I would ever be in with you that would make it ok for you to call me "Honey"), you will have to admit that you meant it as a demeaning term used for women. Yet your "Advice" not to be rude to strangers online was not a veiled threat? Please. If it was not a suggestion that someone might try to retaliate against me, then what were you suggesting? ... And here's a hint. If you really want to end a conversation, you stop responding. You don't try to get in the last word, like a third grader, after saying " you didn't read my long rant." The truth is, that I don't care if you did or did not read it. I just don't like giving trolls the satisfaction of believing people do not see through their bs. So as long as you say unfounded, generalize bull, and using passive aggressive tactics. I will keep pointing them out and explaining why you are wrong. I have a bit of a tenacious personality...
This is not my usual genre but this drama has drawn me in. I am so curious. I know there have been lots of hints pointing toward DCK, I think that is just way to easy, but at the same time, I am like, but is it him? is it him? I love how the 3 main characters are all connected to this. They dynamic is so interesting.
It is just you. lol. It is NOT that they are mediocre, just that you are probably not watching the appropriate…
"Either way, for future reference, try to be civil while talking to a stranger online" Is this some kind of threat? what a joke. Again, one person's views is not some kind of proof. There are millions of people that love them. A note of advice for you is for you not to pose a question, if you don't really want an answer. And, you call it "talking down to you" by saying go back to watching American tv, Japanese tv, Anime, or whatever you were watching before... That means simply to go back to something you like, since you think all Kdramas are mediocre and overrated. You chose to take it as an insult. That is all your perception. I watch all countries tv and can find the unique charm in each of them. I don't look down on American tv, or Japanese tv. I don't like cartoons, so I do not watch anime, but I don't look down on them. My profile gives American and Japanese shows that I like and says "each country has it's own charms" To call my first response "a long rant" means that you didn't even actually read it. You must have taken offence to me saying "it is just you", but that was meant as a joke, and in reference to you saying "is it just me" hence the lol. You should have read it. I gave you actual info about kdramas, in response to each of the things you claim to be true and typical about "most Kdramas". I gave you practical advice about choosing another kdrama, if you wanted to try another one. You are the one that wanted to argue, no it wasn't just you, when I clearly said it as a joke and argue that the thing that we are supposedly all here about because we love them, is really mediocre and boring. Is there really anyone that would believe that you are not here as a troll, when you have yet to complete a single korean drama but you have opinions about what "most" kdramas and 'typical' kdramas are about..... And what is pointless, are generalizations. If you really think kdramas are boring "in general" then what is pointless is for you to spend your time "trying' to watch them. I do make judgements about someone that would watch something week after week, and yet comes back week after week to complain about how bad it is. Ah, this is someone that just wants to complain about something, so they have chosen this. If you don't like it, why are you watching it? If you don't like Kdramas in general, stop watching, it is as easy as that. If I don't like a drama after 15 min., I move on to the next one. If I am halfway in and I find that I don't like it, I may give it two more episodes, but if it does not pick up, I drop it the next week and don't look back. If I don't care for the drama, I may post on a thread why, once, but when I do, it is constructive and specific, meant to help others decide if they would like it, as people have different tastes... I don't go back week after week to trash talk it for fun.
Thanks
