I see some people are upset because this is romcom but this is not about rainbow and sunshine and that the exes are become a part of the plot.
who said romcom can't have an angst and even a sad ending? I thought we're still suffering ptsd from that one slice of life healing romcom, no? that one with the neighborhood guy as the ml too. "....-ssi, congratulations on your marriage" is that drama not a romcom and they're happily ever after?
sad and death are part of life, and beside of the romcom this drama a slice of life.
and honestly I enjoy the emotional rollercoaster of the last two episodes. it feels like I'm watching transit love season 4 lol. and it's in a good way. the good side that her ex came is that both of them realized what is left is just a lingering feeling. and they know when to stop so they can start over their life without each other and without regret. I like what they had together and I understand why it was turning sour. a beautiful ending and plot, much better alternative than that crap transhit season 3.
uh I understand what she had been through. to witness people talking behind your back and it hit you, and you started to think the worst of everyone and sinking in depression. and to deal with someone who's clouded in depression and expect a progress, I know it killed both of them.
and her ex finance, helping someone is not a problem, but it can be a problem if it goes wrong, I learned it the hard ways too. the thing is, if we show kindness to someone even if we claim don't want something in return, unconsciously we want it to be beneficial and hope things are getting better.
but if our kindness hurt people instead? it can hurt their ego, it can hurt us. the thing about helping others, if we don't see the progress it can make us tired and it can hurt them, and instead of making the situation better it creates a distance between you and them.
and I think people who had been through of taking care of others in the hospital can understand how much it can drained our energy. you're supposed to take care of a sick person, but at the end of the day somehow you're the one who's sick emotionally and maybe physically too.
seokryu had been through all of it, and in her defense, there's no way in the slightest that she would drag her ex and choiseung and anyone to the rock bottom.
anyone else recognize director Eum so hye from Her Private Life? Great cameo as the exact character!
yes, I thought she's familiar and then realized that the screen writer is the same person.
and since every episode seems to have cameos I hope I'm not being a delulu for manifesting an appearance of the ryan sexy gold and our baby girl sung deok mi ๐
If I were you, I'd start with the wonderful series A Dream of Splendor (rated 8.5), IMOP one of the best series…
you know what, I'm currently watching it and I don't know how I should be able to thank you ๐ญ that's exactly what I'm looking for ๐ญ
after the double, I'm on the hunt of c historical romance with the similar vibe. I've found story of kunning palace, love like the galaxy, and the long ballad. and now a dream of splendor is added to the list. thank you so much โฅ๏ธ
So where the hell do they get their sandwiches in Joseon? Quizno's?
maybe not a ppl as a part of the story like in modern drama.
but there are little ads that usually pop up at the bottom during a certain scene or not at the end of the episode. it can come from the leads that already had brand deals and they lined up to sponsor the drama. even if the leads are not the brand ambassadors of a certain product, usually famous public figures attract more sponsors. (recently I had a funny moment when the leads were intensely kissing and suddenly the screen split and namkoong min's face pop up as if he was third wheeling ๐ญ ๐ ).
and also a bunch of ads when the drama airs on tv. plus the money from ott platform/s.
and who knows maybe there are still other sources out there I couldn't thinking of lol
I knew it, eul pa so had a deal with yeonbi. like why would she bothered to help him save the queen if she wanted to take back her ancestor's land from the king's family?
but ngl I doubt about it a little after I learned that yeonbi and the queen are related by blood. the situation is a bit similar to yeon bi and eul pa so. that being said, the three of them are distance family lol
does that mean that eul pa so don't have a crush on the queen? and his little attention was pure? but at that era, even cousins are normal to marry each other, let alone distance family, and a one sided feeling.
*** and eul pa so, who are you? I knew you were something but I hope it wasn't you.
The dinner felt more like the last supper. Let's find out who got sacrificed in the next ep. lol
actually I'm not sure who will be the first, but what if her ex drunk scene from before was like a foreshadowing event of what would happen to him -being thrown on the street and helplessly begging on her door lol
I mean apart from the single incident ( and that too because he lost control because he had never read anything…
it's the situation that I find it weird to bloom a romance now. and I know he's better than that. and it wasn't about him hating on her nsfw web novel, it was about him personally attacking her online that triggered her trauma. of course he didn't know about that. that's why right now it's a weird weird for the romance.
maybe they'll make him to help her heal later or they'll try to make the atmosphere better for them.
anyway that's just my current feeling about them. I like bogyu in general but I don't like him with her for now.
her boss is also such a cutie pie, my typpa guy.

I know this from a comment on yt, apparently that's all explained in kdrama jumong.
