that's not what happened. he KNEW it. and later she helped him about something voluntarily, without him begging for it. in fact, he's already ignoring her now. he kept saying, "I like you but I like myself more. I like you but...on and on and on." based on the result of his test, everytime she rejected him, it affects his emotion. and it's building his defensive mechanism, and he started to avoid her. I didn't explain it before because I was afraid it's a spoiler.
and maybe you're right, there's a chance he would sacrifice himself more later. but remember that currently the ml is acting as a narcissist. there's no one he loves better more than himself.
and she really is not as bad as you described. at least that's the impression I got after watching ep 6. her character is described as cold but actually warm on the inside. she's actually a caring person, but there's a reason why she cannot emotionally attached with everyone, not only to the ml. it's her defensive mechanism, her way of trying to survive from a trauma. same as the ml trying to forget his past. yeah it's a toxic trait.
of course that's not justifying her to act rude. and I still think she needs to say sorry tho. at least as his psychiatrist she should have a professionalism to do that.

I hate to break it to you that so far she didn't apologize with her words even after she found out his true intention later.
but way before that, even when she misunderstood that he wanted to touch her without her consent, she already regretted for hurting his face and she apologized with her action.
but I have a good news. the ml is stronger than he seemed. so far, he loved himself than anyone else. you need to bear his clinginess for her a little longer if you want to continue watching this. but later he knew how to keep a distance and prioritize himself. at least for now he is like that.
to hide it behind the ocd behavior. so it blended so well with the story and at the same time showed the product repeatedly without making it weird. that was so smooth, such a high level marketing strategy.

if you enjoy sfd you might enjoy the long ballad as well. it's a cdrama, and they kinda share the similar values about how to build and to develop a country. this was inspired by historical characters from tang dynasty. this one is more dramatic tho than sfd, but they pretty much shared the same essence imo.
and.... you wanted to watch a good historical drama. I would feel bad if I don't mention this one. I don't want to keep this for myself. I personally love this so much. of course it can be subjective, but you can give a shot to watch My Dearest. it was inspired from gone with the wind. you can try it for yourself, I can't describe it more. it's just beyond words.
and yess I agree about the poster. I don't know how to explain it but the previous one is more iconic and sparks more quriosity . this one... it's just a photo.
