while watching ep 1 I was like "oh the actress looks a lot like esther yu from youth with you 2." but then look at the cast, they have different name and I don't remember her birth name.

and when starting ep 2 I was like "no, I think it's really her." checked her profile and it's really her lol

my imagination must be running wild, I see kim hyun jin would be nailing the look playing in historical drama. he would look like a damn hot and beautiful creature.

I don't know how to describe this feeling. LY is a good guy. he and SS doesn't have a romantic chemistry although they got along so well. but the writer really did well at portraying their relationship. although I don't root them as a couple but I really like how they respected each other. it just made me cry when they broke up 😭

I think that was the first time I cried over a couple that I don't even support lol

this drama clearly portrayed favouriteism towards younger generation and not the other way around? and she's not a halmoni= grandma 😭 more like ahjuma= aunty.

the 29 FL has the skills, bu the interviewers prefer the charm of the younger candidates. the same goes to the ahjuma version of the FL. she has the same skills as MZ generation lee mijin, and among the old candidates, she's the youngest. that's why they love her in this scenario.

based on this drama, the young version of FL, 29 years old lee mijin, is considered old compared to the fresh graduates. and the ahjuma lee mijin is considered younger than the other her old colleagues.

that's why she got the opportunity when she turned into ahjuma because not only she has the skills but she's also "younger" than the others.

I get that everyone's opinion can be biased. I'd be glad if she can prove me wrong here.

I thought that was the case too. but nah, he's just a wise man learning literature and becomes like ahead of their era.

I have this view of him when I observe his character, especially near the end of the drama.

as for me, what's really bothering me the most is her intonation. I don't like her intonation even in modern drama. the problem is, her intonation doesn't suitable applied in every drama. that intonation sounds good when she's playing a brat kind of character. I'll give her a chance and a room for improvement here tho. especially this is a sageuk drama. usually actors change their intonation in historical drama.

and about her acting. I didn't really notice it because I hate her intonation more. but there's always a room for improvement.
