the writer must be a fun person. not only did they refer ML's character to the actor himself. but they also parodied ahn bo hyun's previous work, See You in My 19th Life. ππ
coincidently I'm currently watching flex x cop, it's a different genre but it also has a similar nuance at the same time. and I just found out it was directed by the same director.
in ep 12 hee yan suspected that because "general he ru fei" and xiao jue knew each other for a long time,…
oh that, I remember heeyan also wondered if her brother involved with the previous war that killed xiao jue's father. she suspected a conspiracy that included chancellor Xu, the old fart who ordered inspector Chu. I suspect inspector Chu played a role to create the ideas on how things to go for the old chancellor. because just like the evil he rufei, he also wanted to gain more power and established his name.
there was a dialogue that said, xiao jue's father always tried to oppose chancellor Xu because that old fart was a corrupt. Xu tried to get rid of the Xiaos for good, because they were getting in his way. I guess he didn't feel at ease only by eliminating xiao jue's father. the chancellor kept monitoring Xiao Jue too. as Xiao Jue started to rebuild his military power, the chancellor felt anxious and ordered the inspector so that Xiao Jue wouldn't become a hassle in the future.
Can someone explain to me please what the whole point of evil brother plus that old guy and his lackey doing all…
in ep 12 hee yan suspected that because "general he ru fei" and xiao jue knew each other for a long time, the evil hei rufei must be afraid that someday xiao jue would suspect he wasn't the he rufei that xiao jue knew. so, the evil he rufei wanted to kill xiao jue in order to hide the identity swap.
did you notice the way he caressed her bare skin? he kept trying to look how she'd react to his touch. that bruh knew what he was doing. it was a very calculated move. he was flirting. π
so apparently ahn bo hyun really pursued boxing as a career in the past. no wonder his character bragged a lot on how "I learned MMA professionally." it was a reference to himself irl ππ
heeyan: "you're a nobleman. I trust you completely."
I bet xiao jue didn't even trust himself π

"I'm yours now. treat me nicer. love and protect me, okay?"
heeyan baby girl, you don't aware of what you're getting yourself into, don't you? in your eyes, xiao jue must be like an innocent mate.
I mean look at him! is there any wolf that looks innocent in this whole wide universe?! his single gaze itself could contain a thousand of sinful storms. π
your review is neatly done. I can see you put efforts to make it presentable. the use of emojis to describe them and to separate the events make the layout more interesting and easier to read the whole paragraphs.
I'm glad I took sometime to savour this. you eloquently described the characters very well as if you merged into them, especially how you described yingtao π
you've chosen the diction beautifully. and this is my favourite "There are glimpses or yearning between the facades of stubborn resistance."
about the ending, you mentioned how you wished that they also showed their family and friends. I've never gave some thought about it before, but what if it was their creative way to mark a new epoch of the main characters' journey? like from this moment on, yingtao and jiang qiaoxi will start their own little family. of course their family and friends are still part of their life, like they always did. but it's to emphasise that they are about to enter a new world where although those they loved are included but there's another world that sets them apart. the world only the two of them, their new roles, as husband and wife. π€ why am I giggling typing this, lol.
it wasn't jealousy driven by love. it wasn't that he regretted it either. he got beaten by his ex during pre-trial. and then he saw her getting along so well with his rival and she seemed to be looking up to him. she respected his rival in a way that he didn't get from her. yup, it scratched his ego right where it was.
the lawyer ex boyfriend also played a role there.
