he explained that he adjusted the way he directed the drama to the script. I guess like the other commenter above…
I'm not convinced either. but with this kind of script, if it's directed with the realistic approach, it'll become more unrealistic. they need to change the script to make it more realistic. but the problem is it's not his own script. he might have a limited to no freedom about the creative writing of the script.
and the cartoonish part isn't only about the puzzle. but the whole story building imo. the director emphasizing on the characterisation, I guess from the beginning the director himself wasn't convinced either just like us. since he couldn't change the script, he did minimal damage to make it more believable by making them unrealistic/cartoonish.
I could be wrong but from this article, the director is like trying to explain his reasons why the output is like this. maybe because he isn't satisfied with the result, to do something out of his style. since apparently he is someone who usually uses realistic approach in his previous works. and he expected that some audiences might shared their dissatisfaction about this matter.
For sure, if you make a police officer drive a Lamborghini car it doesn’t look realistic )). I am a fan of Nordic…
he explained that he adjusted the way he directed the drama to the script. I guess like the other commenter above said, he had to make this more cartoonish to cover the plot holes in the script.
even with the cartoonish directing style, some viewers aren't convinced with the story building. if this script is done with the realistic directing, I can't even imagine the result.
since the script was written by someone else, I guess he carefully chose the words to say.
Ok the story ended BUT:something that still bothering me was at the last episode on the Park, when Ina talked…
from the song, it's possible that the writer tried to tell that there's something about the fl like you said.
and it's also could mean to emphasize the gap between fl and the killer. the fl is such a privileged girl living in a "luxury", she got to listen to that beautiful song occasionally. meanwhile the killer's life was so harsh that she was never exposed to the beauty of music. that the first time she heard of that song was the moment right before she killed someone. I see it like an irony.
is there by anyyyy chance a possibility just 1% possibility to have a second season of this ? 😭😭 i said…
was it IU or lee joon gi, one of them shared the alternative ending sometime ago lol. lee joon gi often feeding our delulu too 🤣
and idk whether this is a good news or a bad news. YG planned to sell 60% shares of YG Studioplex, its subsidiary that co produced this. so if the new management see the business potential to produce the second season, maybe?
so I guess mr. shim caught in the prince's business when he tried to save the real hongrang? jaeyi said that 3 months before he was missing for good, hongrang went missing and saw that snowman. maybe mr. shim made a deal. the prince returned hongrang to the family in exchange for mr. shim to deal with other kids?
I think they had to make liu yan fell for the phony girl because wei shao isn't the only prisoner of the beauty here. but wei bao, chen xiang, bi zhi, wei lang, wie yan and liu yan are all also trapped in the beauties.
The commotion in episode 1 is aligned with the Qing Invasion in 1636-1637 during king Injo's reign. King Injo, along with 13,800 soldiers, took refuge at the Namhan Mountain Fortress (Namhansanseong). And in the drama, it happened in Yongdam village.
In the drama maybe that place was chosen because a certain shaman told them that an imoogi would ascend. and if an imoogi fell to the ground, the effect would benefit them and turn the tide of the war somehow.
Irl, king Injo's small military tropes could manpower against Qing 50,000 soldiers for sometime because the geographical area worked in their favour, before they surrendered because the Qing already captured king Injo's second son and the consort lady in Ganghwa island. In the drama, maybe they'd make it as if they won the war due to a supernatural power.
From the beginning, Yeori's grandmother had always warn her to runaway from gangcheori. It's either she had vision about the tragedy of their future or they had a sad history because Yeori's ancestor was the one who brought the king to that village and failed his ascension.
honestly, I didn't pay any attention to that song. but after reading your comment, it kind of gave me an insight.
btw have you read this article? they don't really explain about the meaning of that song. but they tell how that song was chosen.
