their relationship has always lingered around trust. from their first encounter and several occasions, the ml asked her what was her intention coming to the capital. and the fl always replied that she was searching for home and that she had no other ulterior motive. home is always the key part of her journey. and I doubt that she lied about it. since we've shown the FL had conversations two times with her old self when she was entered the capital about wether she already found her home or not. so the part she lied about must be that she actually had an ulterior motive coming "home".
if suddenly they brought up about the lie without a link to the story, that means it's a plot hole. but I don't think that's the case if the part she lied about is her ulterior motive, because that part is also in the drama. about what kind of ulterior motive and etc, it just doesn't explored more. but the question about her intentions coming to the capital has always been the key point of the leads interaction.
from the beginning she has always been lying about one thing. and the beginning of their interaction was related to her intentions. now that she has found her home, she wants to come clean that her intention wasn't pure. she wasn't only searching for home. I guess the ML had always knew about it, and it doesn't matter anymore. because he trusted her anyway.
trust was their love language. they've put trust above love. their understanding of trust is beyond honesty. when you already trust someone, you've put yourself on them, that even a lie couldn't tear you apart.
I learn a new perspective of trust here. it's new and strange to me. but I think I understand. it's just mind-blowing because I didn't know that trust could be the opposite of what I used to believe. and I think this new understanding will affect the trajectory of my perspective.

I was hesitant to talk about it because I wasn't sure myself.
When the king was just a crown prince, he witnessed his grandfather abusing that shaman and he felt bad about it. It was all normal to that point because I guess the crown prince preferred the shaman to have a more humanly punishment for him.
But when his grandfather explained that the shaman abused innocent kids to death and ordered their ghosts to steal money, the crown prince remarked with "he's just an old man trying to survive" or something like that.
I don't like the grandfather but why did the crown prince had to comment like that? I mean we've learned that the king undoubtedly has an empathy for his people, but the shaman killed the kids. Or he didn't entirely believe what his grandfather said because at that moment the ghost related stuff was a nonsense topic for him? And he only thought that the kids died because the shaman couldn't afford to give them foods. Or maybe it's to show that the concept of right and wrong wasn't really mature for the young crown prince at that age?
