I think some people really need to give jiyun some slack. the situation is not a rainbow and sunshine in her life, she needs to proceed the information first. and that she needs some time to do that.
it's okay if she can finally express her emotions and be vulnerable for a moment. but to expect her to be fine after hearing that is like only seeing her as a two-dimensional unrealistic character that only exists in a drama. to me, her feeling is valid and real.
she's a grown up rational adult. just give her some space. she'd take care of her feeling. she'd be fine when she'd be fine, not when people told her so, and nor when people expected her to be.
but I understand that not being able to relate to her emotions is in fact a privilege, a luck, and a luxury. it just means to never experience that sort of feeling.
the drama did a good job to give enough portrayal on it tho. it just doesn't focus on the angst. and people only know her when she's already a successful, tough and stubborn ceo.
Was Jeong Hun's brother the CEO of Career Way who killed himself I wonder? It'd be typical kdrama to connect everything…
I don't think so, they showed the former ceo's family and that old man and jeong hun weren't there. I think he had a little kid, meanwhile I don't see jeong hun has a niece/nephew. they showed his wife too, I don't remember it but I don't think it's the same nuna jeong hun keeps visiting.
I've notice the pattern, this happens not only to this drama. some people are shading the ml but it's actually a part of the hate wave directed to the fl. a move to influent others to make the drama look bad. it's either they suddenly bring the ml's visual, age, or a past scandal if there was any.
it is weird because people seemed to be fine when the ml worked in his previous projects. but then suddenly he became ugly, old and problematic when there was an announcement to work with a certain actress.
and this strange phenomenon not only happens to this drama. apparently some people trying to invalid some works from some actresses. however since they don't have something to say about the actresses they attack the male leads instead.
not me thinking that this is the first on-going cdrama that I can finnaly catch up with the latest episode that I confidently check the comment, not getting anxious of a spoiler... only to find out I'm still behind after all 😭
for those who haven't watched the latest episode and for the future viewers, SPOILER ALERT!!!! it's everywhere, so be careful if you want to scroll down the comment section.
if it wasnt for her father ,, she will never meet this excellent man and his daughter !!!! ,... she must understand…
emmm... this sounds off, although I agree that the blame is not on eunho, we need to respect the pain she had been through for practically growing up alone. she hated that part of his father for leaving her alone in this world. the pain is still haunting her for getting abandoned. and it's not as simple as to thank his father for his death in exchange for a wonderful lover he has become now. for her, losing her father is losing her chance to have a normal life. she practically has no one to rely on. and it was hard for her.
maybe she'd find a closure through eunho. but to thank his father... sorry that just seems too cruel to me.
And whats worse is she is supposedly his friend WTF? That almost fits the saying "With friends like that who needs…
she's not his friend, it's her husband. there was clearly a line between them when she joined her husband to have a dinner at his house. and that was their meeting for the first time.
on the side note, koreans don't consider they're friends just because they're hanging out together or in the same circle with their friends or close with a family member. to be considered friends, it has to be more intimate than just an acquaintance.
what she said is indeed unnecessary.
maybe the writer had to find a character that'd give the fl a second opinion reflected to what the society might see of their relationship. that scene was to give a clear view and for the audiences to see the clear stance of the fl on that matter. since they wouldn't drag it any longer, they just happened to give it to the wife of the ml's friend. that being said, I guess we wouldn't see such nonsense saying to bother the fl in the future.
kindly reminder, please use the spoiler tag when talking about a detail that may lead to the plot. let's respect those who haven't watched the latest episode and the potential viewers.

I feel like those lines are empowering for me to hear.
