Watch first 4 and last 4 episodes, because in the middle actually nothing happens except bad person steps all over noble idiots till she reaches their limit and they decide to take action. In the middle it was cheap drama with no interesting events until last episodes when main issue was opened again.
Drama had original topic started intensively with many issues, but main topic was not talked about enough and was very slow pace.
I did not liked the ending. Too less concentration about aftermath for children.

It is father, who overprotected his child vs. director and nurse who forged documents.
There is no logical or emotional argument to say that father is more responsible than people who framed.
Here in this scenario LHW is portrayed as emotionless calculated person. He calculates who he should revenge first and what amount of revenge they deserve. At first he started with the least responsible people (f.e. locking in the sauna). The later people were more responsible step by step. There is no explainable logic why he left father as the last one with very intense revenge.

Therefore in later episodes after whole background story is revealed his character became total nonsense. It became impossible to understand his actions. At the same time near end he became most important character. Therefore whole drama became nonsense too. Therefore low ratings.

That is my main point. He was not drunk, but nobody knew that. Only people who framed him and his kids. It was easy to frame him because he had reputation of being alcoholic.

There was medical document that he was drunk and father knew it. What other explanation he can get?

1) He is an adult, not a kid anymore, therefore that reasoning by kid's eyes does not suit a character.Writer should built character adult reasoning + kid emotional pain. Every adult would put main culprit people who fabricated documents (or ordered to do that). It is who started not who executed. It is similar to blame father as a judge who made bad decision based on wrong facts. You could blame lynch court as itself wrong thing, but there was no clear message about that in this drama. The revenge was personal, not about how society works.
2) In many cultures putting your child above everyone else is positive trait, not negative one. He did not do that because of greed but in order to protect. Having a child experience near-death and being overprotective is positive thing. Whether you like or not he behaved like excellent father.
3) It is idiotic reasoning in many KDramas that if person has a kid he should be forgiven. Drunk driver nearly killed children. Just because he has his own kids he still should not be forgiven and rot in prison. It is not looking down on his kids that they are worse. Drama here that driver was framed and actually was a hero who saved children.

In every drama in every revenge arc main character takes revenge on the last one who was behind the scenes and manipulated everything. Here he leaves the father as the last one. Because of that all drama writing sends wrong message. Father did bad things as lynch court front face but he was not the worst one in situation. The emotional point should be about people who framed for their own greed. Greed is very clear message for revenge arc.

Basis on this drama is very weak. It is too hard to feel for main character and his pain. Otherwise it was excellent drama.

It is 16 episodes in 1 hour format or 32 in 30 min. You probably watched 6th episode in 1 hour format.

After eps. 6:
Forgiving was way too easily and way too quick, because it created new plot holes. So if you start believing your boyfriend again means other guy was lying. She is older, more mature but again do not question why such injustice happened. Writers need her to be friendly with Se Ho for the moment, that he could do the same evil things behind her back and create obstacles to their relationship. They intentionally omit essential part of her character (strong, fighting back). Writers make her character not consistent from scene to scene just because they did not thought through details how to move the plot.

This is lazy work from writers.

Seems drama will take very boring direction. They will date. Se Ho or someone will take pictures and create scandal about student dating his teacher. To protect each other they will breakup. It is too obvious.

As I more see acting and chemistry which is amazing the more I am angry at the writers. Attempted murder was just a tool to make an older guy lawfully in the school and as main misunderstanding to make lead pair separated for 9 years. They should created more simple tool, f.e. Bok Su beating Se Ho etc., which would be more fit for the school theme and more realistic reconciliation between lead pair. Writers wanted to create huge bomb for first episodes in order to attract ratings. And they want to diffuse this enormous bomb with just 30 seconds in episode 6 with teary eyes, 2 questions and I am sorry?

Writers cheated viewers.

Soon it will be 2019 year and viewers are smarter than 5-10 years ago. If writers do something just for ratings actually instead it causes more harm. Just look at recent drama Third Charm.

If you create huge emotional point in middle (attempted murder/suicide, child death in Third charm) all following episodes will become bland. Here after first episodes I was expecting something huge, f.e. emotional fight with Bok Soo and Soo Jung or Se Ho, or something, but apparently it won't happen. School issues will be less emotionally important than framing for attempted murder. It might become most interesting part of story, but emotionally still it will be bland.

Episode 7-8 will be emotional pleaser about their short dating and quick breakup, that during second half drama writers could concentrate on school issues without unnecessary romance.

Again writers shoot themselves in the leg by not understanding basics of drama writing.

It has to do with TIJ brother and stepmother. They had conversation about her that it was huge mistake and his brother should not do same thing to another woman. Also do not be sure that was a suicide.

People are responsible for events. I would add that you can change your life after meeting very bad people. No matter what misunderstandings were she is bad person to him and was involved in destroying that part of his life. He should push away people who hurt him horribly is not victim mentality, but winner mentality, Do not forgetting her and ending up loving her again it is victim mentality.

I read comments on many sites. I saw zero negative comments about her because she is not "supportive goody submissive one". There is none critique about that. Please stop creating fake arguments about non-existent comments. On every comment you use same argument you invented yourself.

Many people just jumped to assumptions why other people hate Soo Jung. It is not because she is female and especially not submissive female. Even if it was role reversal and male do the same, people would hate him too. It is not that she is worse than Se Ho. Just that his evilness is obvious and there is no need for a comment.

Please read what actually people say:
1. She never confronts Bok Soo and assumes the worst on her own.
2. Even if you love and hate (feel betrayed) person at same time, you are afraid to hurt that person. You beat him, curse him, but do not do actual harm. Her actions were involved in not only hurting but destroying her crush/almost-boyfriend/only-friend life. She does not feel regretful or remorseful about that. She only cares about her pain. Such love is not welcomed.
3. Bok Soo sincerely opens heart to his crush/almost-girlfriend. She knows most about him in the world. Still she believes he is capable to murder someone. It is very scary to entangle with such girlfriend.
4. Her character is written inconsistently and source of too many plot holes.

Will she become better person and amazing teacher by end of series? Yes. Does she deserves to be forgiven by Bok Soo? Yes. Does Se Ho deserves to be forgiven by Bok Soo? No. Does she deserve to be happy and loved unconditionally? Yes. Does she deserve Bok Soo love for a second chance? NO.

Her character has huge space for a growth. But what can she do for Bok Soo as more than a friend, as a potential lover? Him involving with her emotionally again will not heal the pain of betrayal. This is biggest plot hole of drama.

Im not Robot ML has illness, in other words serious issue which can be fixed emotionally. So FL completes the picture by having extremely high EQ, therefore ability to fix him. Here ML only weakness is financial situation, because he was unable to get education which lead inability to get a job etc. He is in lowest social status where he gets money for being slapped in the face (eps. 1). FL cannot not help him in anyway. Even she cannot retract her involvement in wrongdoings because already 9 passed and he is too old to start a life by going to university etc. There is no possible character development to complete picture and cover each over weaknesses.

As you read in my comment I already like her as a person, as a character.

They were not in an official relationship. But still he opened himself to her completely. He was flirtatious and shared his deepest emotions. He opened his heart. Her believing that he can attempt a murder, means him opening up was for nothing. He completely failed. Any warm source for romance completely evaporated. They can only start from zero ground. After experiencing such devastation should he open his heart for the very same person second time? It is impossible, unless writers will make him complete idiot and unrealistic character.

It is not her completely fault that romance was destroyed. But still romance was destroyed. Means it is their second chance.

Writers their first interactions made very realistically, they step by step warmed up. If you rewatch eps. 1 not all interactions lead to romance. Only in certain moments they got closer. Only after discovering certain personality traits led opening more and more. Means second time should be realistic too. But they already know their personalities, there is zero emotional discovery left. It impossible to impress each other by same personality traits they already knew. Only left to discover is facts. Writers left zero space for romantic emotions. Being close to person does not lead to unrealistic romantic emotions.

Every drama has its own rules what is the source for romance. Here set up is discovering personality traits leads to romantic feeling. Rediscovering facts, clearing up misunderstanding should change nothing. There is no source to ignite romance second time.

I very disappointed about this drama from romance aspect. Can anyone explain how romance between leads is even possible?

I disagree with many negative comments about FL. She is an amazing person. During school, always top in class while living in bad environment. Still positive growing up, strong, fighting. Bribe is understandable in her situation. She is not perfect, made mistakes. She is very likeable.

But... she was terrible girlfriend material towards ML. In contrast ML friends remained with him despite all accusations. She was closer to him than them. She knew about his personality, inner feelings more than anybody. There is the reason why courts do not allow spouse to testify against spouse because it automatically destroys lover relationship whatever witness should say. Anyone with brain cells would distance themselves from such situation and stay silent and lie that did not saw or heard anything. There is no explainable reason for that. When she opened mouth she decided to end their relationship forever.

And what??? she meets him again and her eyes are teary? Jealous of him while he touched other's girl's hair? After 9 years? Is her behavior believable?

From ep. 7-8 (or 4th) producers trying find the reasons for her behavior. Even in kindergarten children know that even closest friends might lie. Children tend to void people who say negative things about person they like. Best friends fight themselves when they comment boyfriends. But she believes third person? So she never tries to verify with ML whether he created hurtful rumor about her? She never cared about him and was not interested about reason behind his possible actions? Wtf?? Writers tried to explain her behavior but in the end made her even more terrible girlfriend.

Her betrayal by taking witness statement to destroy his life is on the same level as infidelity. This is red flag. That relationship cannot have second chance in believable way, because actions destroyed basics of human connection.

I repeat. She is great person, made small mistake as a person. But towards ML she destroyed any romance.

He should forgive her. But entangle romantically again? Will writers make him moron? How they can make romance believable by not making them look too stupid?

I am so disappointed. They gathered great actors. Writers found uniqueness in cliche plot. Plus it is very comedic to have 27 year in school. Between comedy they set up to tackle serious problems about schooling system. But everything will be lost in conversation because they made leads as morons. Unless they will choose that end up as good friends not lovers.

Seems here writer is misogynist. Here FL suffering lasts 22 OF 24 episodes when ML decides to stop revenge and finally understands that his love for FL is stronger, while FL asks for divorce. Then in 23 ep. he gets barely shot (bullet barely touched skin) in arm and FL forgives him for everything (having mistress living in same house, etc.). Ep. 24 probably will be they living happy ever etc.

This drama sends misogynistic message that for female should not matter how male treats her. Most of drama FL suffers from ML. We do not get too see ML suffering. Writers wanted to show only female suffering. And suddenly it it is happy ending. Why?

Older lakorns are balanced, even slap and kiss type. Enough episodes to see ML repentance or suffering. Enough to see healing of harm done.

Writers do not respect FL character emotions because it does not have healing phase. Do not watch this.

This drama based only on frustrations, there is no way it can have happy ending. Probably leads will get together but I doubt any viewer will be happy about it.

So FL works tirelessly from day to night on dozens part-time jobs for more than 15 YEARS without any vacation or even normal night sleep. Has mama boy lazy husband, who will eventually cheat on her. Has evil MIL. She will be old childless divorcee. For all her suffering is responsible stepmother, who intentionally abandoned her form her family.

What is waiting for her in the end? The man who is her stepbrother and son of woman who caused all her suffering. ML is very good husband material but she deserves better, just because he is son of that woman and it would be her second marriage. Why FL should suffer from another especially late romance? Will FL have any happy days? Seems no.

Only FL younger stepbrothers and ML younger sister romance relationship are refreshing. Main romance and all other romance developments will be source of huge misery.

In this drama cliche gone wrong. It is ok to make FL lost orphan, receiving hard sufferings and injustice, but in the end forgiving everyone. It is ok if FL is in early 20 and all her life is ahead of her. Forgiving is understandable. Here FL is almost 40. After 10 years or so she should be thinking about grandchildren. But instead she will behave like teenager and she will forgive everything because of recent romance??? She is 40. She was robbed of her 35 years. Forgiving here is totally not understandable. She is not religious Buddhist or Hinduism fanatic to forgive everything just in order to receive karma points.

Most annoying thing that stepmother abandoned helpless child in order make her son heir of company. In the end he still will be heir of company because he will marry uneducated FL, who have zero ability to run company and TOO OLD to get business education. What is her punishment for doing one of most evil act human can do? None. She did for her children to be rich, and in the end they will remain rich. This drama is pointless.

Drama is unbalanced and story is too cliche. There are no unique characters. Older dramas are much better.

Watch till the end. Second half is well written too.

I liked how it discarded many stupid cliches. F.e. If couple stops from working together at same company, automatically they should breakup. Here situation is handled in very realistic way.

One of the best written Chinese dramas ever. This is very similar to Love O2O where couple stays together most of the series and actually communicate between themselves. All characters are complex and well acted. Watch it till the end.

Synopsis is misleading. Sounds original, seems there is high possibility of strong romance. But after spoilers are revealed whole drama lost its charm, it became major disappointment. I regretted that I watched. If you do not want to waste your time here is backstory.

Before you read this, it reveals why it is big no no for leads romance.

ML has adopted brother same age. He fell in love and married a girl. Jealous adopted brother raped his wife. She became pregnant, divorced ML and without explanation left him. ML thought that it was his child. Then ML had accident with adopted brother and went into coma. Adopted brother hid him from father in order to get company and created John Doe personality for him.

ML wakes up with amnesia after 6 years, only remembering his wife and meets FL with a child, thinking that she is his wife. She does not know who he is.

FL is his wife's twin sister. Her sister died and left child for her. Before that FL slept with her best friends (2FL) boyfriend (2ML) and destroyed their relationship. FL had crush on him, but 2ML did not liked her at all. She meets them again after 6 years. 2FL and 2ML about to get married. Both think the child is from that one night stand. 2FL does evil things to FL to protect her marriage. 2ML does evil things to take away child from FL. Then he sees evil actions from 2FL and fells in love with FL.

2ML later learns that he has terminal disease and he leaves FL right before wedding. Then FL and ML fall in love without knowing that their are in-laws.

They had zero chemistry. For 20 episodes FL was in love with 2ML even without common sense how she hurts people and then suddenly in 1 episode she falls in love with ML. Yeah, writing is that bad.

For me it is big no no ML getting both twins. It never explains that he stopped loving his wife. Wife never betrayed him. Both twins are very similar - both kind, gentle, love animals etc. There is no distinction that you could argue that they have different personalities and he is not in love with same person. The only way writers could think about happy ending is to make ML lose memory again and do not know that he is in love with his sister-in-law. FL never had her own boyfriend. 2ML stole from her best friend, ML is her sister's husband.

FL is kind heart good woman but highly unlikable. How she treated her best friend is disgusting. Best friend is evil one but still FL did not right to her.

In business terms it is very lame ending. She did not became heiress, just salary CEO. She works for Min family and all fortunes will belong to them. She will get just salary from family run company, in other words she became some type manager, what is so big deal about that. In any given moment Min family can revoke her position as being owners of the company. They could have pompastic ending there shares are given to employees or similar. Or she is hired by another company.

To put in emotionally she became puppet for Min family. When eventually Sua get back from studies and will get her training she will be cast off again, because company belongs to her.

From GY perspective. At one side is the love of your life in the honeymoon stage. At other side is blood unrelated person who pushes you downstairs while you are pregnant, threatens you various ways. In the end she chose to believe other person not her husband not her brother. This means she is total idiot who listen to who shouts louder. Just because she worried that her brother might be unhappy she chose to divorce. She even was not sure whether brother will be happy or unhappy she did not talked to him.

GY and JH decided to start new family. This should be their first priority. GY prioritized her niece happiness over her own child. She prioritized brother happiness over husband. JH prioritized his mother happiness over his wife. They both are not fit to being married. If SN and Emily go out of picture their issues still are not solved. They do not have mutual trust, priorities aligned etc. They too easy decided for a divorce, their love is not strong. They do not add nothing to each other there are no sacrifices. It is impossible for them to marry again in the end of series unless there will be another time jump.

To make best use of remaining episodes probably writers will chose for JH to die. It saves them from solving too complicated GY and JH relationship issues. Also GY needs HK, who would be great pushover
husband who at least would make her and her son's life as top priority. His biological parents are unable to do that. Moreover JH death would add huge drama. I believe this will be rare daily drama with not happy ending.
