It was very mediocre. Maybe my expectations were too high because of the overly high praises it got. Alot of the…
There is no issue with the exposure of the shots. Maybe if you watch it in full sunlight, but for the way it's meant to be enjoyed the scenes are on point
I've watched quite a few yakuza movies and other crime/action stuff but damn that scene where he is hitting his "girlfriend" made me more uncomfortable than like any other movie. Same with the rape scene in the office. I don't bat an eye when they cut off fingers or shoot someone but hitting a woman like that is really grinding my gears
This is basically like American Pie but missing all the subtlety and relatability of the jokes. It's basically American Pie but with a sledgehammer. And then they try to bring in a serious topic into a movie full of bad and flat jokes. Disappointed.
When I saw Kim Seulgi I was hoping to see more of her but she wasn't in that many scenes. I think that comedic relief guy was just an annoyance for me. Okay movie with good actors
While I can't say it's hard to find as it got multiple bluray releases, I have to agree with most of the rest of the review. Watched it because the cover and synopsis sounded badass but felt a bit disappointed. The idea had so much potential but in the end they just made a meh movie with it which can't really decide what to be. Bit of a shame
I actually think the cg animals weren't the big problem. The compositing for the flying was. Making animals look good is impossibly hard, but if your flying looks worse than something shot on film 13 years prior and it's one of the important features of your movie, you should rethink. I watched the anime as a kid so my memory is really hazy and I'm obviously not really the target audience for this, I think if someone went to see this with his kid they wouldn't regret this. It's a decently enjoyable movie for younger and the parents, but I don't think it's a movie I would recommend to an adult on it's own
lee jong suk and seo in guk together and the rating is just above 7? Are those people crazy? This should be at…
There are people who care more about good stories and good movies than the cast. I think the whole movie is just an excuse to show two popular male actors in swimsuits. Even Yuris role just feels like they didn't even care for any character development, they just wanted to say: look, we got Yuri and she also sings. This movie is just completely forgettable and I think the cast is the reason it got the rather high ratings it got.
This is definitely K-Drama fuse with Black Mirror concepts and it being on Netflix to cater toward more western…
Thought I was the only one who felt like watching a lite version of a black mirror episode that got turned into a romance kdrama. At a glance the idea behind the app might be good but the more you think about it you are actually watching a dystopia falling apart. Especially to the end. I really hope they gonna focus more on that part in season 2. Haven't read the webtoon so maybe it's supposed to be like this, but I felt they tried hard not to alienate the typical drama audience and so they missed out on a huge chance to make a big social commentary in lots of places. I don't even really care who she ends up with. I'm more interested in the story behind the app and the creator than the love line.
The acting is really good and I like the general story. Some parts are a bit too predictable, the dialogue a bit to unrealistic and you will probably feel an hour of frustration because except the lead every character is kinda frustrating, but you at least get to understand them a bit better by the end. Just be sure you know what you are getting into. This all may sound negative, but it's definitely worth a watch!
After only like 3 scenes with him I can already tell that TOP is a terrible actor. This is what happens when you cast because of the name.
Also while most lighting and camera work is kinda boring in dramas these days, at least it's consistent. Here they have great shots with nice skin tones and lighting just to cut once and everything falls apart. The shaky cam with he zooms makes it look like you are watching the office every time they show the central base. Ofc these are only technical points and the show is 11 years old, but they could've fixed that easily.
Okay I binged it in 2 days. It starts out really strong which is rare for dramas but then it gets a bit draggy in the end. Especially when they return. Plus I think they should've just ended it before the "twist" in ep 15.
One of the weakest ones. You can't just write 95% of characters to completely act against all human instincts. Plus the zombies acting was not really good.
