Have we been trolled, lol? What's with Haein posting picture of him next to the wedding gown, the music sheet of Now and Forever, him saying the last scene was his most favorite, the title Snowdrop ( I know it has two meanings)? Not me reading too much into things, right? I'm an optimist, I kept hoping for a happy ending. I said, a sad ending would be too cliche'. Throughout the entire drama, there were scenes mentioning briefly about how they can escape, how they can do this and that after the hostage situation is resolved... them psyching me up for a possible HE and then completely ruining it at the end... I can't T_T... I have watched dramas with sad endings before, but Snowdrop hits so differently. I guess seeing Suho and Youngro suffering all the way through is more than I can bear. Until now, I still can't bring myself to watch the last two episodes. Need to keep my sanity for exam coming up, lol. Haein-ah, Jisoo-ah, you two owe me a very happy, cheesy ROMCOM. No other genre, okay? You have to pay for traumatizing / trolling us with this crazy ending and your sweet interactions behind the scenes.
Now I need to watch Haein's other drama having not so much stress and a happy ending to cope with the 💔😢…
Depends on how you like your drama... I personally LOVE One spring night and ADORE A piece of your mind. SITR is good for the first half, the second half got very frustrating. Haein was adorable in SITR, the chemistry between him and Yejin was amazing, but OSN has better story and characters. A piece of your mind can be somewhat of an acquired taste. It's a true slice of life, slow and meditative. I'd watch A piece of your mind to heal though (try to at least get through the first 2 episodes, since it builds up slowly).
i spoiled myself the ending, feeling nauseous and numb..i don't even know how i should watch the last episides
I'm with you... I probably will hold off watching the last 2 episodes for a few days. Just looking at pictures left my heart in pieces, and there's this sinking heavy feeling. This is when I realized how attached I am to this drama (I hate it and love it at the same time). Poor Youngro, geeze... I keep saying this, but goodness, that poor girl deserves some happiness.
Is the writer a sadist? What's her reasoning for putting Youngro through every pain and suffering possible? If I was really in YR's shoes, I'd have massive trauma and gone insane. Maybe I'm one of the rare viewers who actually would be glad to have this drama be over by tomorrow. It's so emotionally draining, and for no apparent good reason.
To me Cheong Ya has the same type of feeling as Soo Ho. From Ep. 1, you can already tell Soo Ho already had intention…
Yes! For a drama in a limited setting (the dorm for the last 9 eps) to be interesting, the characters need to be written with more intentions. So far, she only succeeds in making a few of them interesting to me. I also have a feeling the mysteries surrounding these characters are really for shock values near the end. We'll have to see how much the revelation will propel the drama forward. I was very curious about Ms. Pi's storyline, but apart from the few scenes about her being tortured, nothing more has been shown about her. At this point, I'm not even invested, which is a waste, because she also has the potential to be so much more. I think the biggest waste is Youngro's storyline and characterization. With her losing her mother at a young age, having to deal with a wicked stepmother, learning to live independently, she could have grown up to be less trusting and goody two shoes and naive. Now, that would make a much more interesting female lead. Instead of being sidelined as just a plot device, she could have become a central character, working alongside the male lead. I need to watch this writer's other work, to see if this is common in her writing.

I think strong characterization is this writer's weakness. With 16 episodes at 1.5 hrs long each, there're many opportunities for her to develop more probable motivations for the major characters so that we can empathize with them better. Instead, she created convoluted plot lines, one after another with little to no breaks in between (but we're actually just going around in circles). The characters are reactive to the happenings around them, rather than active in their behaviors. Like you said, Dr. Kang has the potential to be so much more than how she's written right now. I really like her character, but having her being reduced to acting to her emotions because of a guy is questionable. After all, she's been a spy and indoctrinated for years. Would it be this easy for her to give up her ideology that fast? But I know that this drama isn't billed as a character-driven show, so for now, I'm just enjoying the ride.
Boon Ok has been consistent in this. Actually what Young Ro and Boon Ok are doing is no different if you look…
Very well said! After today's episode, I start to dislike the characterization of YR. Of course we can't expect a 20yo to be all reflective and self-aware, especially when one tragedy after another keeps happening to her. However, her constant self-blaming and martyrdom tendency do say that she indeed does have that unrealistic elevated vision of herself. She's not that much different from Bun-ok actually.
people said that ep12 was a let down but I disagree. It was very enjoyable.
Yah, I'd never been bored with this drama, so I was surprised that so many people felt let down with the latest events. The only episode that I didn't care for was episode 8. Today's ep was crucial in advancing the drama forward. I can't wait to see the next one.
I think SooHo's sister will die and after that he will have no reason to stay in NK and SK as well. As KCY said,…
That could be a possibility, but omg, talk about the guilt Suho has to carry for the rest of his life. Either way, I can't imagine how he can save his sister.
Dramas which air in between two years (November to February) always give a vibrant feeling and have special place…
You piqued my interest about Mr. Queen. I keep hearing about that drama, maybe I'll start that one after Snowdrop. Both CLOY and SD remain special in my heart too.
im so excited for ep 12, they are going to continue their scene at the attic since they ended ep 11 when they…
I hope so too... in the BTS of the kiss scene, there's a part that showed Suho hugging Youngro. I'm not sure if JHI changed that hug to the second kiss, or if there'd really be an additional hug after the kisses. Either way, I'm not complaining :D. Just hope we can get to see it.
As much as I'm enjoying it, the romance really is the weakest part of the drama. Don't get me wrong, it's sweet…
I'm with yah there... I adore both Jisoo (just discovered her in this drama, she's so adorable) and Haein (long time fan) respectively, but their romance in this drama really feels forced. If this drama is to parallel Romeo and Juliet's story, I can see the writer's intention. However, jtbc heavily marketed this as a romance and it really disillusioned fans. If anything, the romance is just a plot vehicle.
I don't know about you, but this drama is hilarious to me. I really think the north korean spies are secret models infiltrated the south side to advertise for shin ramyun, fried chicken, and amnesic coffee. In case we forget that we're currently in the 80s (hey, we're still here in the dorm for g-darn how many eps), let's have Bun-ok in her polka dot red dress, complete with high heel shoes and a red hat that magically hangs on no matter what she does. I love this drama, haha... if only it takes itself less seriously, it will be top on my list. Come on, JHI in some comedic moments, please. I know he'll slay it, and I'd love Suho even more than I love Gangmu right now.
