People of this page, how are you passing time as you wait for the next episodes?Could not even find another drama…
Watching other shows, learning Korean via TTMIK and other youtubers, reading western books to keep with my 50 book goal this year. Mostly I work a full time job ugh haha. I'm off today so it's a catch up day for the other shows I need to see for the week. Most of which are time fillers not meant to rival the one obsessive show I seem to get at a time. Flower of Evil is THE show I look forward to every week, no other show deigns to compare.

I agree he has walls up and doesn't understand his own emotions so he thinks he's unfeeling when really he does…
I will avoid some spoilers if I can and want to be surprised about certain things, especially big finale ending type things but mostly from ep to ep I love to prepare myself.

Right, hopefully not. And yes, basically we must protect Eun Ha at all costs!

Ok great! Thanks!

Ah, sorry! I just let the episode play to the end and I have no willpower when it comes to previews.

You make a good point. I suppose it all comes down to how the cards fall into place with the real Hee Sung and the investigation of Hyun Soo. It's got to be done just so before the house of cards comes tumbling down. If we get anything more than a bittersweet ending, I'll be shocked. I just don't want a tragic ending for everyone.

I don't really have time to go back and check but I might later this week. I'll rewatch all of his scenes and skip through to just scenes of him and Ji Won, maybe.

Yeah I think they tell him in the preview for episode 9, but it's a shock to wake up from a coma much less one that lasted almost 2 decades.

They most certainly could from what I have gleamed from the laws in Korea. But if they end up under fire for that, it would have to be after Hyun Soo's name is cleared and he can live as himself again.

I don't think we've seen him say it on screen yet. Not the actual 사랑해 phrase anyway. But I've only seen each episode once. A couple of scenes a few more times. He's had to have said it, we just haven't seen it on screen now or in flashbacks yet. Makes me want to go back and rewatch all their scenes to see if he did!

I don't know how easy it will be to be vegan and visit one day. Worst case scenario is I make more food staying in with my subtitutions as opposed to going out if there aren't many options but that's ok I like to cook. I do like 김치 and who doesn't love rice and ramen? Also I'm weird and can eat tofu plain but obviously it's the best when seasoned and crispy on the outside/chewy on the inside.
At least if I get passably fluent I can be the annoying customer asking if this was cooked with anything fish related, etc. I read somewhere they don't quite "understand" veganism but will work hard to be accommodating and understanding of customers' dietary needs. There's this delicious 해초 샐러드 I get at Costco that's so fresh and yummy and vegan! I love seaweed.

Thoughts on ep 8- Love the song that started after Ji Won heard that HS does not know how love felt. I really…
I agree he has walls up and doesn't understand his own emotions so he thinks he's unfeeling when really he does love. He clearly loves his sister and Eun Ha, how can he think he doesn't love Ji Won? I hope there was more to that conversation with Hae Soo after Ji Won walked off!

I'm really curious to see how they deal with the real Hee Sung who was in a coma for 18 years. His muscles should be so atrophied and he should be struggling with all those complications for a while. If he starts to magically walk around in a few episodes that will be a huge mistake. I mean he does have a right to know how Hyun Soo took over his life but he was basically dead to the world with no hope of waking up so they didn't think about that? I wonder what his take on this will be. Can he be calculating , too? Maybe his mother and him can escape somehow away from the father and it won't matter if he's the real Hee Sung or not. I have no idea yet!

We were told that he would NEVER separate from the cassette because he was so possessive over it. But didn't he…
I agree. She is his new lifeline that keeps him centered. When they first kissed and the vision of his dad left it made that clear. I also hope we get more on that conversation between Hae Soo and Hyun Soo after Ji Won walked off. Something like Hae Soo being certain he knows love "What do you mean you don't love her. I see it in your eyes right now." And I want a moment for that to be apparent to Ji Won, that he does indeed love and loves her. In some action rather than words. Because later when she asks does he love her he said 'Why ask what's obvious." And to himself he's thinks he's lying and in her thoughts she thinks he's lying after hearing just part of the conversation with Hae Soo.

Have you seen me talk about it in my comments? I legit want to know more about the lettuce case! Haha! It could open the door wide to a whole ring of produce theft!

"What a comfortable imprisonment." Preach it, son. You got roped into this. He wasn't planning on becoming Hee Sung. Ok so real Hee Sung was alive when he got out of the car to check on Hyun Soo when he hit him? So...yeah. How did he get in a coma? Was the guilt too much and he tried to commit suicide or something? And yet the parents are like " We may have lost our son, but we want to keep the rest." 뭐? I guess he does have a point, it would have been hard for Hyun Soo to gain a new identity and they were giving him one, but the stipulations almost make it not worth it! So did he like burn his fingerprints enough to where he could slide into the Hee Sung identity by only using memorized answers? I suppose so.

Oh, I heard the new word I know now! 갑자기! It means suddenly/all of a sudden. Yay! Although the translation was "out of the blue" I mean that can also be inferred as all of a sudden.

Hee Sung thinking he's so slick and Ji Won is so quick to catch him in his lie, we love to see it.

Omg yes the return of the lettuce thief case! Is it like I hoped? It's more than just lettuce? Omg little boy from the first episode! How sad he's possibly being roped into crimes because he feels so broken about what happened with his family.

JS: How can one bury what they know?
JW: Well, he still had good memories...which could've helped him move on.
JS: If it were you, would you have been able to live without doubting those memories? Can you confidently say...that you'll never question the sincerity of one's actions?
HJ: Come to think of it, that would be awful.
Ah, gotta love the overt conversations that relate to what characters are going through.

Hee Sung getting Moo Jin to run all his errands for him. "Why do you never thank me enough?" And he gets hung up on, ha! Ok Hae Soo is adamant it's the truth she killed the foreman. I was almost confused last episode thinking she said it just to protect Hyun Soo.

Ah, Ji Won is opposed to them opening up the case, because she doesn't want anyone else in on it while she investigates on her own? And her coworkers know her pretty well to catch she is working on a case on her own even if they don't know it's the case they're talking about. You're pretty good but you're not flawless at lying, then, Ji Won!

That is one creepy place to meet your sister you haven't seen in almost half your life. So she killed the foreman in a fleeting moment and Hyun Soo in a fleeting moment decided to take the fall for it? God, that's so sweet to try to protect his 누나. Why does he have to let her live a "normal life" but he can't? Why do you think you're not allowed, Hyun Soo?

Eun Ha is so freakin' cute. This actress is really adorable. And weirdo grandma calling her "a slave driver" wow way to talk to a 5 year old, lady. I know this kid isn't y'all's real grandkid but the cold demeanor is crazy. Look, first of all...is hiding your vegetative son in your house the best idea? Are we expecting him to wake up after almost two decades and to shout to the skies he's the real Hee Sung? That would be very much like a kdrama to ignore medical truths like muscle atrophy and etc, if that were to happen, though.

I wanna know how much they are paying this maid/nurse who knows the secret to keep the secret. Ah, she's deaf!

Crazy grandma ain't wrong though. How Mr. Baek can live his live decently while even she is depressed about everything. He made everything that this situation is and it benefits him the most. He's got less emotions than Hyun Soo. At least Hyun Soo tries to emulate emotions when he feels like he can't and makes an effort to be what society deems as normal. And he slaps her? Wow. I hate him.

How precious to see Hyun Soo boasting about his wife and daughter, sharing photos. His face talking about them says it all! He loves them so much! And he's certain Eun Ha isn't like him. That's so sad he was worried she turn out like him. That also shows how much he's changed, like she just said.

OMG JI WON IS RIGHT THERE EAVESDROPPING OMG I JUST GASPED SO LOUD!!! Him saying "I'm going to live as Baek Hee Sung until the very end." [Future omnipotent narrator voice: He did not.]

Why the hell is he saying he doesn't love Ji Won? You never felt that way? WHAT?! You clearly do, though! This is upsetting. I want him to acknowledge that he does and he just had nothing to compare it to. And her holding it together talking to Eun Ha.

She's burning the evidence! Letting him live as Baek Hee Sung? Is it merely for the sake of Eun Ha? Even though she just got the revelation that he doesn't love her (which I hope isn't true). Is she testing him by asking him if she should quit? His description of her though was sweet. "Someone who's innocent, pure, quick to laugh, short-tempered, quick to sulk, but also quick to forgive."

Ah yup. He inner thought is for Eun Ha's sake, I knew it. It saddens me when she asked if he loved her and he kissed her hand and said "Why ask what's obvious?" I want there to be a moment where she can feel his love and not just be told and she'll believe it and he'll realize it that emotion he feels his love when he thought he never felt it and I want it to be after he knows she knows and he knows she knew? She's planning on leaving him pretending she doesn't know? "That's my final gift to you."

I love how Ho Joon just cannot stop ragging on Choi about getting wiretapped.

Omg Ji Won taking off her ring. Girl, people will notice that? And her now being resolute in solving the case so she can "prepare what to do next"? Hopefully it will turn out that some event will have her becoming trustful of Hee Sung/Hyun Soo again? Not sure how yet but I hope for it!

Aw poor kid, I wonder if this is going somewhere with him getting involved with some criminals?

Hee Sung straight to the point on how Moo Jin wants Hae Soo back and the case being second. Wow so harsh to recount that moment where he said her eyes looked like her dad's. But he turns it right around and calls him out on it. I mean I think Hee Sung does feel things, just maybe not what people want when they want it. I like Hae Soo being a sort of liaison and telling him to "Say what it is you really want to say. Not just words that spew out of your mouth." He's saying he hasn't changed and she insists he has and he's never wanted anything but now he does. He wants to prove his innocence. And maybe keep his life as Hee Sung with Ji Won?

Uh Ji Won did you ever put your wedding ring back on?

"I want to live as Baek Hee Seong. There's nothing that I want to become... or do. I want to live as Baek Hee Seong. That's all. I don't want to lose my life. No matter what. That is the only thing I feel." 내가 맞았어요! I knew it! But he still doesn't know to say thank you or sorry sincerely? As long as they keep helping him. I know there's some realness in you, Hyun Soo!

Pffft when Ji Won calls his phone and Hae Soo and Hyun Soo sitting there already silent. Moo Jin, panicking: NOBODY PANIC! Boy you thought you were so slick and you go and answer the door and surprise it is not pizza but Ji Won. Is Hyun Soo about to have a panic attack?

Oh dang she really wants to let her son go. I don't blame her. But I just know that Mr Baek won't let it happen. Is the real Hee Sung gonna magically be awake? Oh wow face off time!!!! Time for the truth to come out maybe?! Wait and there's a clip of Hyun Soo meeting that guy who met with the little kid. How is that all connected? Hmmmmm.

Also can I just say what a BOP this song is they play at the end. I love it.

Holy crap. So he gets hit by a car and he's basically held hostage under the Baek's because of what their son did to him? The real Baek Hee Sung? But when did he get vegetative?

I like that she's at least giving him the benefit of the doubt. "I bet you had no choice." And she only wants one thing: a reason to forgive him. You do! Eun Ha! But dang she's one smooth liar when he asked about the lock on his basement door being broken. And he's just as slick saying he wants to keep it locked for Eun Ha's sake. Going to listen to the voice recording as soon as she want to bed, telling her it'd make him squeamish? This is gonna be like the Korean version of that Friends episode with the "they don't know we know they know we know"...maybe. Him losing some of his upper hand on Moo Jin, though.

Why am I cackling so much about this lettuce case? Ho Joon being so adamant and Choi being like. Yes, lettuce wraps for lunch sounds great!

Daaaang Ji Won already found a counseling session with baby Hyun Soo. But we have Hee Sung really trying to get out from under the Baek's thumb to this day. He's telling you that's not his voice on the tape! He thought he'd be pleased he didn't kill the taxi driver. He can't seriously ask Hee Sung to just leave if his identity comes to light. Why is his life any less important than what you have going on? Even if he promises to take care of Ji Won and Eun Ha. Not to mention Ji Won wouldn't want anything to do with the Baeks even if HS did leave. Which I don't think he will. His main goal besides not being found out is his wife and daughter.

Omg Moo Jin wanting to clean up after his hangover for Hae Soo. Wet wipes only go so far, sir.

There goes little baby Hyun Soo. "But I couldn't kill a person. The body is harder to get rid of." But she's got the facts straight calling out the ASPD right off the bat. And she knows about the cassette tape. All the while Ho Joon is still going on about the lettuce case. "So no one has time for me?" I'm legit laughing. I kinda want the lettuce case to be something bigger so people will wish they listened to this adorable little 후배.

Omg Mrs. Baek how dare you rip up smart little genius Eun Ha's math homework! Saying it'll kill you and your mom? You don't say that to a FIVE YEAR OLD. No matter how book smart she is. Geez she's the one acting crazy.

Hee Sung focusing on the background noise, I think we have something here. And Ji Won coming in with the bag saying we need to talk. She straight up says to his face "I'm going to catch Do Hyun Soo." AND SHE PULLS OUT THE CASSETTE TAPE FIRST. She knows it's him but he doesn't know she knows HE IS HYUN SOO ALREADY. And her thinking 'I can lie to you without even blinking.' Oh the tension is real. And her asking for help already knowing the work is his and just saying it can double as their planned date. Oh she's good. He's good. They're both good.

I swear Moo Jin trying to get all flirty with Hae Soo and saying she's so normal....then she admits to him she's the one who killed the foreman. Daaaang. So we have reason to believe Hyun Soo hasn't ever killed anyone. He's got ASPD but he's also too smart to want to deal with dead bodies.

His memory about the cut in the tree. Sweet with a creepy undertone when the dad comes in.

Omg them going into the basement as she starts playing the cassette tape knowing it might set him off. But it doesn't? Or he's on edge but doing his best to control himself. I think it's his mom humming a lullaby of some sort? And he keeps asking to leave the basement but the guy he worked for when he was still Hyun Soo is coming. Wow she thought so far ahead. How's he gonna get out of that?! Ah, a true panic attack. He's not faking that, in my opinion. That looks real. And she's waffling 'Was I too hard on him? No, he lied to me for 14 years.'

WAIT. So the guy that was about to meet Ji Won may have been the accomplice if the restaurant owner went to that memorial place?

Hee Sung telling Ji Won not to look for Hyun Soo, saying he's worried if he is a serial killer but she counters that she should look for him all the more if Hyun Soo IS a serial killer.

So wait was Hae Soo just saying that to Moo Jin to protect Hyun Soo? And WOW Hee Sung is actually apologizing to him, color me shocked. Ah, yes. Because he needs help still. OMG JI WON PUT A TRACKER IN HEE SUNG'S WATCH. How smart! Omg I should have known.

Her in the promo "Let's pretend to be clueless and say goodbye to each other as Baek Hee Sung and Cha Ji Won." WHAT DOES THAT MEAN.

When she fell off the bed but they ended up just embracing on the floor. that was so cute. And her sneaking back home to go back to him and making sure he ate. So precious. And when she went to do a fist bump be instead he held her fist. so sweet. Se Ra's dad going to Gong Myung's house and them on their knees. He's perfectly healthy but they didn't do anything...yet. :) And her her holding onto him when her dad is telling him to go. But then they all end up sleeping on the floor together omg. And the dad "don't think of anything" and telling them to keep a distance of 2 meters. But momma bear trying to tame poppa bear. Seriously let the "kids" be they are nearly 30 years old! And they're busy eating 라면. "Let's do more things that are better when done together." :) His dad being responsible for the transfer, noooo. I love Gong Myung and Se Ra together in the office. I mean they put the memorial on the roof of the council building, so I don't know why he has to butt in so much if he didn't care enough to remember until it was convenient for him.

So the resort fire is what brought him into politics but I feel like all that came from that pushed his only other son away. Gong didn't want anything to do with him, even changing his name to his mom's surname. I mean dang. Gong leaving lunch abruptly after finding out Se Ra was being questioned by the police. She's not wrong. Is it really theft if no one "owns" the memorial and it was already in a trash pile? Props to Hee Soo for coming to rep Se Ra, though! Ugh their little uphill walk and backhug, why are they so precious, I love it. But now her dad says "not to eat anything at night, we're gonna intermittent fast." Poppa bear, please! But Gong saying he'll go back to his place BUT he'll miss saying "I'm home." So cute. Ah the old lady who wore the helmet from the golf balls is the last person to sign? Her going to the memorial site every week for 18 years! 십팔넨! Ahhhhh, arsenic poisoning! It's all connected. See, with any other show it would be so dry but this is written and directed so well I can't help but be invested! The flashback to Se Ra's first complaint!

I love that ji won still trusts her husband. It's so heart warming to see BHS realize that there's someone who's…
I feel like since we're not even halfway through and Ji Won already knows about his past then Hee Sung will have to know she knows and somehow it will work out for the best. She'll investigate on her own but in the end he'll know something is off and we'll get some tension when it all comes out. But they can solve it together and clear his name at least partially. Some excuse to give them at least a bittersweet ending. I don't want a tragic end!

After this ep I think it's clear that Do Hyun Su has never killed anyone. I think he took the blame for his sister…
I agree that while he can have a hard time expressing or doesn't realize what he's expressing he does truly love his wife, daughter and sister. Though I think he may have killed the foreman but only because he had no choice. My guess is perhaps his sister was being molested by him and Hyun Soo snapped and killed him in the heat of the moment rather than taking the matter to the police. Perhaps because he was already on the outs with everyone just by nature of being the serial killer's kid.

Title Flower of Evil Spoiler
Oh damn, so the REAL Hee Sung hit Hyun Soo with his car. See this is what you get for talking on your phone. At night? IN THE RAIN?! Don't do it, kids. So somehow this is leading to how they switch places because at this point Hyun Soo is on the run and can't be involved with the police and the real Baek Hee Sung almost commits manslaughter and it just becomes convenient? Still need more info on this point!

I'm not even a medical professional and I know how unrealistic it is to just rip IVs out like that. ㅎㅎㅎ So is Hee Sung just trying to protect his sister knowing she was the accomplice of his father. It's his 누나 after all?

Hee Sung's biggest fear is him being revealed as Hyun Soo. I mean we know it's coming, it is just a matter of when. That moment when Ji Won goes to hug him and he doesn't know what she knows.

Whoa, so it's been 10 days since he was admitted to the hospital, too. All that time Ji Won had to deal with that. And he can just explain away any details of the why and how to her if she asks because of his hypothermic treatment, possibly. But I liked the soft look in his eyes when asked his to confirm his wife's name. Omg though Hee Sung don't play with your tiny daughter like that, pretending he didn't know for a second. She's five years old! Or really 4, almost 5 if we're in August 2020 and she was born in September 2015. Even though translated it's 6 (I know about Korean age, it still baffles me everyone is "two" years older than their true chronological age.)

Why is it so freaking awkward between these in-laws. The Baeks are some weird people. I mean even Hee Sung is telling his "mom" his own daughter has a name and it is 은하! (Also is it really translated as silver river/galaxy? Pretty! 예쁘다!) How dare she call 은하 a "little rat". I do like that Ji Won doesn't like how shifty his "parents" are.

So he had already or will explain that he went there for metalwork ideas after following Min Joo? Kind of a flimsy excuse, in my opinion. But ok. I like that he keeps his own truths close to his chest in not telling them things. They certainly keep enough of their own intentions to themselves, too.

Ok whoever translated this put "honey" when I CLEARLY heard 당신 which is the literal word "you" that so rarely gets used. I know it CAN be used, I suppose with married couples like this but in my learning I've just learned to NOT use it because titles/names are so important. I heard 당신 a lot in this scene. Ok tangent on that done.

Idk if I've mentioned it before be Ho Joon is one cute 후배, I think it was in episode one or two when he said "What's wrong with you married people, it makes me not want to get married." ㅋㅋㅋ

I have to say on a personal note, that seeing Hee Sung like that really struck close to home. My own father went through that hypothermic treatment and medically it does make sense, you want someone who has just been through cardiac arrest to not suffer from any brain damage and lowering the body temperate of someone who has a heartbeat after a cardiac arrest does help. It slows things down and reduces inflammation, giving the body a chance to heal and not go through shock. Kind of like when you ice a really bad sprain. Granted it didn't work for my father who never regained consciousness after his own arrest but he definitely lasted a lot longer even after being so fragile in the ICU and being separated from all the machinery, I think it was a day and a half before he finally passed. Ok that was another tangent I didn't need to share but there we have it. I can relate to Ji Won's struggle in that moment waiting for Hee Sung to regain consciousness.

Taxi guy faking it? So he has cancer? Is that why he's so brazen in the murdering and kidnapping. He has imminent death waiting for him so he just decided to do what he wanted? Wait so Mr. Baek is gonna on the sly kill taxi guy. You are a DOCTOR. Do the words do no harm mean nothing to you?! So Hyun Soo/Hee Sung traded one bad parent for a set of other awful murderous people. Why is everyone's answer in this show murder?

Min Joo saying "Sorry, but would you please not compliment me? I feel like your pet dog." Pfffft. And the last witness of taxi guy's wife's last whereabouts doesn't want to testify? And she's scared of Hyun Soo not Min Seok. Why the heck is everyone always blaming Hyun Soo when Min Seok was the actual serial killer?

Gasp. Ji Won jumped when Hee Sun reached for her hair. Ruh-roh. Hmmm. Ok I laughed with Detective Choi came in saying "Hey, there. Me? I'm fine. I know you've all been crazy worried about me, but I'm really... fine. So don't visit me going forward as you haven't been until now." And Ho Joon is like whispering. "....he's mad." Hahaha
And he's smart for asking WHY was he tortured, because people get tortured for answers. (I mean notwithstanding people will say anything to make the torture stop which is why it isn't a viable way to get testimony in a legal setting....but it doesn't ever seem to stop people from trying.) But Hee Sung is also smart for saying the taxi guy can only answer those questions. "So could you please ask questions that I can answer for you."

Omg though Detective Choi saying "I'm not really likable...which is why only three types of people...try to get on my good side. A liar, a potential liar, or one in the middle of lying." So he's always been a bit turned off by Hee Sung from the offset. Hmmm.

To me Hee Sung reaching out to try to get her to talk about "anything" to me felt like a truly loving, desperate husband. BUT!!!!! She knows he woke up at some point and about a 노나 and "Live a normal life. Never look for me. I won't live as Do Hyun Soo anymore." OMG SHE KNOWS. But she's keeping it in. To solve the case? Because she feels conflicted? He doesn't even KNOW she knows. Daaaaaaaang. 헐! ㅎ ㅓ ㄹ!

And him calling his "dad" saying "he'll do it" about getting rid of taxi guy. Aw man, don't go further into it with that. But Ji Won looking at Do Hyun Soo's file about his psychopathic conditions. I'm not saying he's perfect but the way he is isn't because he was born that way, he was really shaped into that by his father. He may have killed the foreman but I still feel like there is a story behind that. Like maybe he seemed like a good guy for taking him and Hae Soo in but what if despite Hae Soo being the real accomplice of their father she got molested by the foreman and Hyun Soo could not abide by that?

Wow I can't believe how quickly this plot is moving. So Ji Won is going to Hee Sung's shop to look for blood and all the while Hee Sung is going to possibly kill taxi guy? I wish he wouldn't. I want to be right about him only killing the foreman because he had no choice.

WHY does Mr. Baek have to make Hee Sung do the thing. He's just being manipulated, can't you see Hee Sung? Why aren't you suspicious that you could be implicated if it doesn't go to plan? Why must you do what your fauxther (faux father) says?!

HS: I'm just like you guys. I found out while watching TV...that my father was a serial killer. Is that so hard to believe?
KC: I figured...you'd tell me the truth when you kill me.
HS: Whether or not you believe me, I don't plan to save you. You tried to ruin my life, and you can whenever you want.
KC: I realized after lying here, staring at the ceiling all day. That all I know about you...are rumors. And that...I may be wrong. I killed an innocent man...and tortured you ruthlessly. So...there's no need to hesitate.

Omg Ji Won finding the ziptie in the workshop basement yikes!

HS: How did it feel...when your wife died?
KC: That... That... That's what you want to know? Why do you want to know that? Why? Why do you want to know that?
HS: I want to know.
KC: I wanted to die.
HS: Then why didn't you die?
KC: Because I had something to do. I wanted...to bring Mi Sook to a safer and more comfortable place.
HS: But she's dead already. What's the point?
KC: When people talk about Mi Sook, what they say about her last... will be different.
HS: Then goodbye.
O M G I thought he actually killed him for a second and I was gonna be so disappointed. Ok so does he really think someone just gave it to his sister and not just that she had it because she's the culprit? I can't believe Hee Sung manages to rope all these people into his web of deceit and they end up helping him. It's amazing. He's very good at being bad without actually being bad, if that makes sense. The only thing he's trying to do is prove he's not a killer. Which is hard to do with you truly do have some psychopathic tendencies. Again, I never said he was perfect.

He has that down but now Ji Won is probably going to keep it all to herself while she tries to solve it all on her own without help, which isn't going to help her mental state. And he's going to keep being a pretty decent husband (despite the lying) and trying but she'll be distant and he'll sense that, perhaps?

-: It horrifies me to think that such a heinous criminal...is still out on the streets.
JW: There were no eyewitnesses.
-: Sorry?
JW: I checked the criminal investigation report, and no one actually witnessed Do Hyun Su doing... the unthinkable.
-: But my husband said... he's not like other people. He told me he's not normal and that he could do anything. That's why he was scared.
JW: Psychopaths aren't capable...of taking care of lives that are weaker than them. But Do Hyun Su had a dog for about 10 years, and he even took care of its puppy. That's a fact.
-: But he killed someone and is on the run. He's a murderer. That's a fact.
JW: Yes, that's also a fact. But I want to know a lot more. People should only get punished for the crimes they committed. Whether it's criminal punishment...or a personal grudge. So I need to gather a lot more facts... in order to give Do Hyun Su...the punishment he deserves.
-: Judging by the stuff that's on the internet...
JW: Let me tell you how I investigate things. I only believe...what I see.

Sooooo she's definitely going to investigate her husband. But I love her methodology of only believing what she sees. So I do think she's stronger than we think. She'll find out the truth and when Hee Sung realizes she knows I really don't know what I want to see but I hope in the very least their ending isn't tragic? At least for Eun Ha's sake.

Title Flower of Evil Spoiler
He stayed when the power was out because she was scared, that means he cared even back then! And she said "You hit on me first" but to her he's still acting indifferent and he claims it's just because her mother would worry if he didn't bring her home so he does it. BECAUSE HE CARES? He's just using that as an excuse, in my opinion.
He even tries to push her away back then when she was sure he liked her with "Should I tell you what kind of person I am?". He thinks so poorly of himself, is what it is.

So interesting that she said the watch was hers when she KNEW it was Hee Sung's. I like how she doesn't immediately jump to conclusions with one thing (even though she should) but in this case it works in favor of the plot staying tense. And her thinking about the outfit she saw through the scuffle in the warehouse, I hope she brings that up later.

Hey this doctor is the same actor that was in IOTNBO as the veteran with PTSD!

I love Moo Jin saying Do Hyun Soo is not a serial killer, just a "regular killer." but at the same time said "You shouldn't punish family members of a criminal." He's actually defending HS?

Ji Won crashing the police car trying to catch the taxi driver, yikes. I mean she was so worried about HS though she has the why at the back of her mind and the 'help him' at the front. Because I think she also wants her answers to the why is he there and why was he taken by the driver. I wonder what Hee Sung's excuse will be this time! But for real the taxi guy is if anything way worse than we're supposed to believe Hee Sung is. He's like....enjoying torturing and stabbing Hee Sung?

BUT WHY did y'all take him in? And WHAT happened to the real Hee Sung?!

Also how long would it actually take that much water to fill that pool?

When the taxi driver said the date I got excited because I just learned how to count and say numbers and dates. It's been fun to practice. Like today is 2020년 8월 12이! Well it's more fun actually saying the numbers so fully written as pronounced it is 이천이십년, 팔월 십이일 입니다! Yay!)

HIS SISTER gave him that goldfish charm. 헐 sis you got some nerve. He's probably not telling the taxi guy because he wants answers himself regarding why she had it. He has no interest in serving taxi guy's whims even as he might die. Besides, he said it wasn't him. Most people confess in those kinds of moments!

Ok so his further explanation is he never graduated high school, was in a physically violent gang and he admitted to liking it and he tells her straight up "I'm not normal in the head." He calls her dense for her trying to relate to seeing dead people but I mean she's trying to find common ground with the guy she likes, she's really not dense at all.

JW: You feel bad because you have nothing to offer me?
HS: I don't know how to feel that way.
JW: You only have one problem. You don't see yourself in the way I see you. I'll like you a lot from here on out. I'll be there for you. I'll teach you everything you don't know. Then one day, things will change for you. You'd be surprised. Unbelievable. You're doing it again with that gaze. My heart just skipped a beat. But still you say that you don't feel the same way.
HS: You're...a mystery to me.
JW: Does that mean you like me? The mood couldn't be better and there's nothing more to say, so let's kiss.
And when she does that he begs the vision of the father to go, he wants to stay here. And in the moment the vision walks away he pulls Ji Won back in for a hot kiss. So that was him trying to choose himself and put his past behind him.

And then his "I always thought that I was lucky to have met you. But for the first time, I'm thinking you should've never met me. Yes. I finally know what it means. I'm sorry."
Wowwwww. Well look we all know he ain't dead yet so let's see what happens in tomorrow's episode!

So this is the show I now look forward to most every week now that IOTNBO is over. But I am genuinely excited for Wed/Thurs every week now. I know we all hate waiting but at the same time I really do enjoy watching shows as they air when we all postulate what will happen next and freak out about what just happened or what may happen. Okay I need to sleep now it's nearly 1AM and I have to be at work at 5:30AM, catch y'all later this afternoon for episode 5 discussion!
