She wanted to see which one he's choose. Omg the one thing that drives me nuts about this show is about "choosing" people. She says he "ruined" Moon Young omg are you kidding me. And he's like "is your daughter artwork to you?" And yeah she goes on and on about how she created her and "she's my work of art". But Kang Tae said THE phrase. "Moon Young doesn't belong to you. She's a person, not a piece of art. She's a human being!" She wants him to go and run away he straight up talks informally to her during all this 아니. "No. I'll never do that." And her other option is kill me and get your revenge? Ok preach it Kang Tae "Give it up. That messed up ending you're dreaming of will never come. Because I will never give up on Moon Young."

Little Moon Young "A bird with a broken wing can't fly anyway. I should kill it, right?" :( Poor broken baby bird herself, Moon Young. All Ms. Moon did was try to help Moon Young and because she went to Moon Young's mom who liked her broken little bird SHE broke she decides to kill Ms. Moon this is just too much...I mean MY GOD. Omg the shot of little baby Sang Tae and Kang Tae facing her ughhh I love those shots of seeing them with their child selves. Because that's what he feels like in that moment. I know he's not going to keep choking her because Moon Young's voice in his head said "She's still my mom."

Ahhhh she stuck him with something aksjdhlakj he's not a coward, he's just not insane like you! He was strong for letting go! MOON YOUNG SHOWS UP YAYYYYY!!!! Tell her Moon Young! THE SHOT OF ALL OF THEM IN THEIR KID SELVES UGHHHHHH SO GOOOOOOOD. And the book he did it with was a fairy tale book.

Omg is it this easy? She's arrested and omg Dr. Oh dabbing her blood lip "It looks like someone smacked you hard on the head." ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Lady I don't know what you're smoking but your plan didn't work? It was so good that Sang Tae took her down, for his own healing, too. I love it. Ugh Moon Young apologizing to Kang Tae because he always gets hurt because of her "every single time" That's part of love, though! No if you stay with her life will not be miserable, Moon Young! Awww Sang In got caught speeding and when Seung Jae and Joo Ri walked in he just calls Joo Ri's name. Cute. And him thinking of Moon Young and Kang Tae.
SI: I think for some people, it's just really heard to live a normal life. It feels like some mean gods sent all kinds of misfortune their way. I feel so bad for them, and it makes me upset and furious."
JR: The law of the total number of misfortunes. I heard we all have a set amount of happiness and misfortune assigned to us. If their lives have been filled with misfortune up till now, it means only happiness awaits them.

I love how their breakfast conversation is over Moon Young and Kang Tae. And Jae Su countering Sang In's response about Moon Young being fussy but that Kang Tae wins someone over like a nine-tailed fox. And then Joo Ri's mom says "It sounds like the two of them are meant to be." :) Please be happy.

Kang Tae going to wake up Sang Tae and he immediately asks Kang Tae if he's okay and did he sleep well. And about it hand. And he just thanks him and hugs him. :) And Kang Tae has to explain that she was a terrible person pretending to be nice who hated seeing other people happy. And he talks about reading the book. Only up to page 63 because it was boring, ha! And the metaphor of not throwing away something just because someone bad gave it to you. Moon Young's mom gave the world Moon Young. I am loving the twists every episode and we're only on episode 4. I really think everything we thought we knew about Do Hyun Soo/Baek Hee Sung is going to be turned on its head. He's certainly had plenty of opportunities for murder and when you think about it he's not actually been confirmed with what's shown on camera to actually kill anyone. Though I laughed so hard at episode 3 when he said 'of course murder isn't easy, how much do you weigh? to Reporter Kim.
I think he's been through a lot in his life from outside trauma forced on him what with his father being a murderer and the "exorcisms?!" and he thinks he's more messed up than he is. Like he almost wanted to stop genuinely feeling any and all emotions so he suppresses them when in reality he does feel them but what he presents and what he really feels he felt weren't aligned, maybe because he felt he didn't deserve the love he'd gotten from Ji Won? Especially with the weight of his past being on him and all the mess with the fake parents. Still need more info on that and why he's their son on paper but what exactly happened to the real Hee Sung that he's in a vegetative state?
But in episode 4 he saved Ji Won from being crushed by all those tools and got hurt himself so that shows he cares about her! And when he talked to Eun Ha on the phone in the facetime call I think he was keeping himself more calm because he's about to meet that actual confirmed murderer taxi driver guy but he was trying to say don't cry I'll be there soon to her. I don't know, we'll see. I'm excited for next week's episodes!

I've only just caught up this past week but I am loving this one. It's funny but has some politics AND there's a great romcom element in it. Not to mention Se Ra And Gong Myung have amazing chemistry and skinship. Like people are sleeping on this and we had like 3 episodes of kisses in a row and more skinship in the most recent ep. I love Se Ra's brazenness and Gong Myung just adores her and lets her wear the pants in the relationship. I love their teaming up to take down the corruption in Mawon-gu. Never seen Nana in anything before but she is KILLING it as Goo Se Ra. I love her character so much. Just iconic to me, already.

Thanks for the gif list! There are a number of dramas I think I'll really love by reading the plot and having seen clips in fanmade vids or listicle vids on YouTube but I'm...saving them if that makes sense? Right now I'm watching a fair amount of on air dramas so I want to "save them". Strong Woman Do Bong Soon is one of them. I know I'll like it, haha, I just know it. But I still haven't watched it. Same for a lot of other ones. I'm sure that sounds weird but it makes sense to me.

I really am enjoying this drama a lot. I'm always up for either time travel or world hopping between alternate dimension/worlds/whatever you wanna call it. This one is intense and kind of avalanches throughout the run. It starts out well and just keeps building every episode with more interactions and connections between worlds and characters regarding the murder mystery. You can see how one choice can change lives for either better or worse. And for once I'm watching a show with no real romance subplot and that's fine because that's just not what this show is. Maybe that's why people are sleeping on it. I suppose most (not all) of the time dramas with a romance subplot do well in terms of popularity?

Hype is really a synonym for being popular to me. And obviously things that are popular aren't ALWAYS good and I definitely think something can be enjoyable without being the best. Kind of like how popcorn is tasty but a meal it does not make. Some shows are "underhyped" but are really up my alley and good while maybe not going to get any awards but it's fine because it was still enjoyable. I wasn't looking for a 5 start meal, I just wanted to snack on some popcorn. And others are overhyped and while good, just aren't, to me, as omg-worthy as it is to other people. And that's the way the world is with anything so as long as I give something a go at least I know I tried. More often than not I'm satisfied. I usually go in not knowing too much and if it's better than I thought I'm happy and if it's just okay I went into it expecting that so I'm not disappointed too often...yet, anyway.

I so agree the community aspect is about the best part. I've gotten so friendly with a lot of people in the comment section of IOTNBO lately and I've not had too much interaction with other people on other comment sections.

That's what I keep thinking! The pool of blood that came out of her head was MASSIVE. And she was dumped in the lake?! I mean I'm calling Nurse Park her mom until we're told otherwise but I do hope there's a twist and she's someone else. Like a sister or another psycho.

Same. I mean we know he does love her in the way he's stayed with her and TOLD her he wasn't going to leave because Moon Young is just Moon Young to him and when he's with her he basically forgets the world and we've made it 14 episodes without a true time skip breakup. I don't think they've ever even really broken up because when he said those mean words to her like a breakup but then he literally goes running to her by the next ep and glomps her in that hug and said thank goodness you're okay. Like boy bye you're straight up in love with her at this point.
And for Moon Young, the sheer fact that he DOES stay and he was there for her when she was wrapping head around her mother being his mother's killer and her running in the road barefoot to him because he was there at the castle, she loves him because anyone who loves someone doesn't want the other to be in pain or hurt and the thought of him being hurt by her mother terrified her...enough to where she was running barefoot in the road. So yeah. I really do want to see the true '사랑해' exchanges! (사랑해 = I love you).

What I like about this show is obviously the main trio but so many of the side characters and their stories, the writing with the deep metaphors, the MUSIC, the directing, cinematography...just the whole feel of the show on every level works for me. It really has me thinking all week long until the next episode with the next fairy tale backdrop.

We've all gotten to know a lot of new people thanks to this show! I think even when this is over, and we'll never have another show like this probably, we can likely all one day talk on another show page. I comment on other shows here and there but never like what I do here.

He said 'let's talk' and I know he meant talk. And Moon Young said "I'm not running away. So stop following me. I need some time to think on my own. Let's talk later." At least they both mentioned talking but knew they needed time.

The crazy is coming out. "I had such a fun time." ?! Her taunting him on his deathbed is chilling. She let him live to have him die miserably yikes! "They become extremely obedient when you take away what ms them the most happy." And for Moon Young that was Kang Tae. So she killed his mom just because that would make the Moon brothers flee?


Now Moon Young is acting all fine but it's plain as day even to Sang In she's not ok and "I have a bad feeling about this." I love that Kang Tae is COMMUNICATING and they are helping each other. And Sang Tae coming with the allowance. I still love that! But Kang Tae says keep it. And Sang Tae asks did he and Moon Young fight again when Kang Tae tells him to stay at the rooftop apartment for a bit.

ST: Did you guys fight? You...You fought with Moon Young again, didn't you?
KT: Yes. I made a mistake. So she's really angry. I need to ask her to forgive me.
ST: I...I told you guys not to fight. Did I or did I not tell you that it's better to kiss than to fight?
KT: I'll call you after we make up. Let's go.

Why does Dr. Oh think he'll be jobless soon? Because of Nurse Park? I mean it's not his fault she's a psycho killer qu'est-ce que c'est.

I love how everyone just follows Moon Young and Kang Tae's relationship drama like their own personal drama. Wanting to deliver the rice balls because they'll skip meals. Sang In getting all teary eyed eating the rice ball and Joo Ri handed him the water and asked to talk! Sang In thinks she's worried about Kang Tae when it's really Moon Young, that's nice! I'm glad she cares now and isn't in the indifferent or hate category. "I can't stop worrying about her." And Sang In blurts out "I really like you." And she didn't exactly reciprocate it but I think she does like him but she's being a friend to Moon Young first. I like that.

KT: I was devastated just like you are now. I kept denying it because I just didn't want to believe it. "Why is it that things like this only happen to me?" I deeply resented it. But none of that matters. When I see you smile at me, I forget everything else. The butterfly and even my mom. I forget everything else except for the two of us. You see, Moon Young, you didn't do anything wrong. That goes for all of us. We did nothing wrong.

Then the mother threw the baby into the faraway sea. Ever since that day, it's been said that fisherman can hear a baby's cry on spooky, windy days out on the sea. 'Mom. Mom. What did I do wrong? Wow that's a scary one. And she wrote in it "This book was your only failure, but it's my favorite on out of everything you've written. Since you're a writer too, I'm sure you're well aware of this. All failures must be discarded." Yeah because you're a crazy person who deems value on people for not having the unrealistic perception of perfection at all times. The moral of this story to me is you can't control your children and not let them grow up and learn to do things themselves or else they will never even be able to live up to be someone a parent can be proud of. And if you call them a failure when really it was your own failure as a parent then that is all on you. How dare the mother in the story kill her child because of he own inability to let the child learn to be self sufficient.

O M G THE PROMO. I'm going to delve into my optimistic depths and hope that despite the painful aspects I KNOW we will get some kind of bittersweet ending, if not a happy ending. WE HAVE TO Y'ALL.

Aw thanks. I wish I could go back and find all of them. I mean, I can but that's a lot of scrolling through 14,500+ comments! I know I've done them for every ep. The first ep or two was pretty short reviews but after that I really started making note of all my favorite scenes and quotes. :)

I know, same! I look forward to the weekend because of this show, for the few hours of joy it gives me. I will be so distraught when it's over. Hopefully happy with the ending but sad that the show isn't on anymore.
