That's good to know! I watched on dramanice, but they had the same subs as kissasian. I'll have to go back and re-watch the first bit if they improved the subs! Thanks for the info!
For those who have seen drama with subs, are they correct?I'm hoping to have at least the first 4 with subs because…
Where I watched them, the first few minutes of episode 1 were shaky (obviously not a native English speaker), but I was able to piece it together enough to follow along. After about 10-15 minutes they seemed to get much better and it was fine. Episode 2 was subbed shortly after. I haven't checked yet this morning to see if 3 and 4 have been done.
No complaints for the hero that subbed the first episode for us. They might have been a little rough for the first few minutes (I felt like they got better after that), but I am truly thankful for their hard efforts! After only one episode, I'm pretty sure I love this.
I am hoping better subtitles materialize. The ones on Dramanice and Kissasian make it almost unwatchable for me…
They weren't perfect, no, but they seemed to get better after a little bit. I'm not complaining because I was just happy to finally get some subs at all! It's still only one episode, but I think I already love it.
Why is the Netflix getting this such a bad thing? You cant afford paying $5 a month (for this drama in excellent…
For me it's because they won't release it in the US until it's finished airing. They still haven't released Korean Odyssey in the US (thank goodness for Viki!) I've got subscriptions to NF, DF, Viki AND Hulu. I hate it if Netflix gets it because I DO pay for subscriptions and I STILL can't watch it right away. AND if they get the rights, then we have no choice but to wait because no one else will be allowed to put it up with subs. So while the rest of the world gets to watch it, we have to try not to read spoilers.
ETA - and I agree, the subs on Netflix are crappy compared to others.
I don't agree with how Hanyang's story ended, why couldn't he go see his family and his boyfriend? Why did he…
It was heartbreaking....but pretty realistic for a drug user. They will always be an addict even if they kick the habit. I hated it for him too - I was so upset because he *almost* made it. :(
Yes even if it was to end the relationship she did kiss him and that’s cheating
She wasn't doing it to end the relationship in the way I think you mean. She was doing it because he was blackmailing her and she was planning to end his harassment of her by getting something on him. She was recording the kiss to use it against him in some way.
So before I watch this can someone tell me if the wife cheated with that Kevin dude?
She didn't really cheat with him. He forced himself on her once and she was struggling and pushing him off. He went in for a second kiss and it looked like she kissed him back, but it was cut off. The second time she kissed him, she was recording it to use the video, but it wasn't because she wanted to be with him. So, technically speaking, no she wasn't having an affair with Kevin Lee.
I'd like to say that this is the most balanced and objective review of this show I've read. It says almost everything I would like to have said about it but couldn't put into words. You recognized all the flaws without throwing away the good parts of it. I hope this review ends up at the top as 'most helpful' (so I hope you get a lot of upvotes for it!)
As an aside to my review since this would count as a spoiler, I would like to say that I get SO annoyed when the couple is so in love and the man proposes to the woman...and she HESITATES to say yes for 'reasons'. (dumb ones or no reason...she just doesn't say that she will marry him.) I've seen this in more than a few dramas and it is ALWAYS irritating. Just give us a freaking happy ending. Yes, I know they are 'together'....but I want 'happily ever after'. Why do writers do this to viewers???
The premise sounds nice, but I'm a little wary of another "Drama Fever Original" after My Secret Romance. I've only watched about 10 minutes of the first episode, but I got a somewhat 'generic' feel from it. Can anyone let me know if there was a moment that made it stand out as something special and 'sealed the deal' for you that you wanted to continue it?
I think this was a fair assessment. There were many things I liked, but many, many things they could have done better. Mostly I'd like to see more LSG....LOL! Son Oh Gong, Bu Ja, and Secretary Ma were my favorite characters.
Anyone know if this drama will get a season 2? I liked it a lot :c
You know, they totally could with the way the ending was set up. It's not like they lack plot material if they want to go off of Journey to the West. But, somehow, I doubt there will be a sequel.
After only one episode, I'm pretty sure I love this.
