A lot of the fangirl "he's-cute-and-I-like-him-so-of-course-he-could-do-no-wrong" comments I've seen elsewhere are horribly misogynistic and frankly revolting in concept alone, even divorced from the actual matter of the case. Some fans seem to think that being a fan means that you just support a performer no matter what, and if you express anything other than blind devotion it's implied (or outright stated) that you are "not a true fan." Perhaps the most terrifying part of the whole display is that a lot of these fans are teenage girls who don't seem to realize that abusers can be attractive and charismatic/manipulative (again, not saying this about KHJ specifically, just the "he-could-never-have-done-this" attitude I've witnessed). As an adult woman it's really distressing to see girls thinking this.

I've only watched the first 2 eps. The thing is, I totally get why so many others really dig it, and if I weren't in the middle of a ton of other series I'd probably make time for it (for the humor at least). Unfortunately though I've only got so much free time. I may come back at some point and pick it back up ("never say never" and all that...).
It started out cute but I thought it really started to drag in the last third or so. I think they should've trimmed it down to 16 eps at most. Of course I generally feel this way about most K-dramas so...
To be honest, I found the Song Joong Ki/Yoo Ah In bromance 100x more interesting than the main romance, sadly. Between this and City Hunter I'm underwhelmed by Park Min Young, but as I've not seen anything she's been in since then I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she'd do better in more interesting roles.
I think I'm gonna end up dropping this. I mean, I like the humor but I just don't feel anything about any of the characters and I don't really care about any romance that may be happening between any of them. It's just not clicking for me.
A friend of mine likes Kiriyama Renn due to Switch Girl so I started downloading this drama for her last week. I decided to check it out myself (why not, the comments here on MDL are quite positive) and damn, I enjoyed the first 10 episodes. I thought I'd find the special effects cheesy and though yes they are (in a rather endearing way), the scenes between them (the majority of the show's content) are funny and now I get why adults would watch a show designed to sell toys to kids: It's super-entertaining! I'd actually buy some of those toys myself if they weren't extremely out-of-print at this point, 5 years later.
I thought the first 2 eps were fantastic! I'm really looking forward to more. I just hope this doesn't end up like Gu Family Book, where I love the prologue segment but the rest of the drama just doesn't live up to that.
I really, really enjoyed this drama, so much so that I'm actually kind of surprised the average score is only 5.7 (at the time I post this). Generally whenever a drama takes an "anthology" approach (for lack of a better term) and follows multiple characters' romances simultaneously, I end up focusing on one and not really caring too much about the others. With this drama however I was genuinely emotionally invested with all 3 women and I was very happy with the outcomes for all of them.
(As an aside, I also love the soundtrack. Besides the OP, ABBA's "Dancing Queen," there are a handful of insert songs I really need to figure out title/artist for and hunt down.)
I see I am one of the few who wasn't that impressed by this show. I found it rather boring actually. Too many goofy scenes to be a truly suspenseful police drama, and yet not even particularly funny when it was trying to be. And Oikawa Mitsuhiro is wasted as a ridiculous classical-music-loving recurring villain just to bookend the series...
I'm not a fan of the male leads and I'm not really familiar in Eunji's acting since I dropped Reply 1997 in 15…
I think Eunji's character is more likeable in Trot Lovers. The super-fangirl in Reply was funny at first but honestly I started to find it grating after a while. I might've dropped that drama too if I hadn't been watching it with someone else...
I don't really have time in my weekly viewing schedule for another 2 hour K-drama commitment... but is this worth an exception? Because it looks pretty fun & cute. (I'm guessing by people's comments so far that it's worth making time for...)
I came to this drama because I generally like Becky. But damn, her character in this is... just too much. I get that it's a comedy, and I do often enjoy the over-the-top J-drama humor. But I don't think I can tolerate 10 episodes of this. I might try watching ep.02 but it's not looking good...
I'm watching mostly Jdramas at the moment but oddly enough none of them are on this list. Probably the biggest deal this season in fandom is Kimura Takuya's Hero 2014 sequel. Besides that, I'm also following the second season of the thriller Mozu, the sports (water polo!) comedy Suikyu Yankees, the time-travel/cooking drama Nobunaga no Chef 2 sequel, and the romantic tearjerker Platonic (along with a handful of recently-finished series for which I'm waiting for fansubs).
From this list, this only thing that interests me is Trot Lovers, and even that I'm not totally gung ho about (...yet, it may grow on me-- but obviously I like it enough to keep watching).
I think I would've liked this a more if the two guys had met a little earlier in the film. I guess what I'm saying is that it seems like it took a tad too long to set up the second half (or really more like last third) of the film. But I'm a fan of both actors so even though it starts out a bit slow I enjoyed it anyway.
