I hate how cdramas always make me feel sad for bad characters.. the empress, zhuang shen, xia jingshi even though I don't like them I have to admit that they had it rough.
I really enjoyed the 2 first episodes, but I wish there will be some plot twist that the ML is not actually their ancestor. even though I know there are many years apart between them and it's a fantasy drama with time travelling it's still kinda weird if you think about it. but let's wait and see maybe there will be a twist
can someone tell me how was xia jingshi in the novel? because I've seen somewhere that they changed his character in the drama and that he was actually pretty good in the novel
unfortunately I spoiled myself but the good thing is that I already suspected it so I'm not that surprised. at first I thought the masked man is that man from zhuang family that was sent somewhere but then when murong yao appeared for the second time I started suspecting him, they showed him many times in crucial moments. it will probably be so heartbreaking for suige... he treated him as his best friend.. also I can't really tell the real intention of the emperor. overall I think he's bad but there are times when I feel like he really cares for suige and wants to make him the crown prince. as for xiyang and jingshi I also can't tell. she's too naive and stupid and jingshi is definitely not a good person but at least he's quite respectful to her (for now idk how it will go later). I really didn't expect to love this drama that much (and li qin is soo beautiful, I'm in awe whenever she appears on the screen)
all the rumors going around I would rather wait for some official announcement. and I don't think that speed and love would get a distribution license if there was any serious issue with YSX. sooner or later we will see how it will be resolved
I really can't tell if they will push the romance in the last episode or not. first of all one episode for this many things to resolve is ridiculous so if they put romance it will probably take at most 10 minutes. but all these hints and the way they look at each other... it's definitely not just an admiration or something like that oh come on now. you don't end episode with leads looking at each other like that and then call it admiration but not in a romantic way. let's see how will they resolve this tomorrow
I just started watching the todays episode and I already know I will skip a lot. animal abuse is really something I can't watch... If I was in their place I wouldn't be able to listen to this crazy guy without throwing hands.
regarding the romance part in this. I don't see their relationship as purely mentor-mentee one. even just in ep. 10 you can see that hyomin may be falling for seok hoon as for him, maybe not yet but he definitely softens when he's with her. and since we only have 2 episodes left then I wouldn't expect too much regarding romance. if the producers decided to add some love plot I think the most we can get is a confession scene in the end or some slight sign of a beginning of something more between them. well we will see in a week

yes that's why I said I know she's capable of doing these type of roles. ofc it won't shut haters up but there are many other people who say that they can't watch her dramas because of her voice or her cute acting but they think she's pretty. so I hope she will gain even more fans than she has now with this role

at first I didn't want this to have any romance plot but now when I'm watching I feel like it wouldn't be that bad. it doesn't have to be anything big but even just a hint that they may end up together or something.
