All my thoughts exactly. Thanks for writing them down
no problem! although it doesn't seem like there'll be a season 2, I'm wishing there will be one and somehow they can redeem themselves by making s2 better (somehow continue the story) I just think its unfortunate the way it was written & how the cast was affected :/

ep 7stupid deathshow could they not have known what could happen?they all looked better at fighting and smarter…
yeah i have to agree with you, just wrote a huge comment about all the flaws that I wished they changed. Not sure if u got to the ending so I don't spoil but for ep 6 I was literally so frustrated knowing that the grandpa's 2 friends would die with how they foreshadowed it. It just doesn't make sense how they attacked & decided to let their guards down not thinking myeonggil would retaliate. Also not sure how the banker's neck got slashed and he was bleeding so bad but still survived and this goes for woojin's injuries as well.
***(spoiler ahead if u didn't finish ep 8)***
I'm not sure if re-writing the story had an affect on the events of the grandpa and his friends dying but it definitely did for the last 2 eps. I really liked the characters of the grandpa's 2 friends & wished they'd shown more of their potential with how trained & experienced they are but it was cut short with how unrealistic they wrote it. I would've liked it if the groups plan took MG down instead of who gunwoo and woojin seeked out in the end

**SPOILER AHEAD DON'T READ IF U HAVEN'T FINISHED**

I really liked this drama and how the pacing was fast which kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I really want to give 9/10 but the amount of flaws and how the story had to be re-written lowers the rating a bit unfortunately.
The biggest flaws I wished they changed:
- how is it that they decided to attack Myeong gil & his team but decide to sit back & relax. They totally let their guards down, how could they not have thought that their would be retaliation and I just felt so sorry for the grandpa's 2 friends that were helping him carry out the mission
- the grandpa's 2 friends died too soon. they weren't able to really show how trained & experienced they claimed to be. we could've gotten even more fight scenes & development from those 2 characters that I've come to like, just unfortunate and unrealistic how they let their guards down like that (I'm used to watching action but seeing the grandpa & his 2 friends death was just so horrible for me b/c their characters were made likeable)
- tell me how the banker guy didn't die after being sliced in the throat? Also feel like the tank dude should've been taken out around the same time. On top of that Woo jin's attack & the amount of blood he lost just doesn't make any sense to how he survived. almost forgot the cyber hacker girl helping the police getting hit by the truck was so bad that she should've died but was in a coma?
- b/c the story got re-written, I'm not sure whether that had an affect on just the last 2 eps or if it affected the deaths of the grandpa trio since that was early ep 6 if I'm not mistaken but everything changed & they had to rely on the chaebol guy. the fact that the money would be going to him when gunwoo & woojin should've taken the money to continue the grandpa's good deed makes more sense. I get that they weren't here for the money but its not wise & unrealistic with what happened at the end
- I wished we would've been able to explore how the bad guys were punished. I think the good guys just suffered so much in comparison to how the ending was more open-ended, almost seems lackluster and too many loose ends
- I think 12 episodes would've been ideal to further explore the grandpas, his 2 friends, and even the villains backgrounds. I honestly think they should've done something different with the chaebol dude bc I honestly didn't care for his story & even at the end his character didn't show appreciation for the help he received & yet he took all the money (no redeeming qualities to him)

For me GYJ and LJW had more chemistry in this season and the beginning started off good. Somehow in the beginning they were able to capture those magical scenes like when he lighted up the path for her and just their scenes to build their relationship which were cute. However I think it was a bit underwhelming that we didn’t see much action from Buyeon/Naksu as it was always emphasized how strong her powers are. Also I wished we’d get more closure at the end for everyone as we didn’t get to see how Seoyul was. I think what would’ve been ideal is 15 eps in each season 1 and 2 as it would’ve made the story more consistent. Overall good but sort of fell flat near the end

Really?? I think the highly reputed University of Seoul 'Korea National University of Arts' has given full scholarship…
I mean you're generalizing the critique some of us have about her acting as hate. I'm really just stating what I observe in her dramas and no way am I hating on her. Also just bc someone is highly praised doesn't really mean they're good at acting for example park shin hye, suzy, lee min ho, song hye kyo and some other well known actors are about average and I can compare them to either popular or least popular actors that have phenomenal acting skills. Also if I hated her I wouldn't have watched AOS and would have avoided the drama

have you watched Alchemy of Souls? she plays like 3 roles there and there were scenes that showed contrast in…
yes I watched up to 10 eps and dropped but am deciding to resume for Lee Jae Wook and the premise of the drama. I can see where she would show contrast b/w different characters but just wanted to point out that she always has the annoyed or frustrated expression. For some actors I've watched, I can see how they convey emotion through their eyes but Somin seems to have the blank or angry stare a lot. She's not a bad actress I just find her acting okay :/

If only the FL character wasn't lowkey annoying and exaggerative with her behaviour and the ML character wasn't such and a**hole this drama would've been better. I also think if they developed more to the plot it would've added more substance. Also like many mention, the FL isn't even ugly as its her blushed cheeks and frizzy hair that supposedly makes her seem 'ugly'. I did like this drama after watching it for the first time as I enjoyed the "when will he find out" but definitely dragged near the latter half. As I rewatched and read some comments it made me realize the flaws and where it went wrong but definitely PSJ is what allowed the drama to not be seen as so bad

honestly many are saying ML is toxic but SML is actually the toxic one here and his actions are creepy. Like imagine you weren't interested in someone and they just keep showing up, following you and forcing for something to happen. In the drama Hae Yi tolerates it to be nice but at some point its exhausting and stalker behaviour irl.

Also I just wished this love triangle didn't drag on and maybe didn't exist in the first place. Considering the plot of this drama I didn't think there'd be 16 episodes and think it would've been better with 12 so I know there will be a lot of dragging moving forward. I'm glad for the mystery genre within the plot otherwise I wouldn't have been as interested and this drama would have no substance. But seriously things need to start progressing considering we're halfway already

First saw her in The Last Empress and her acting is great. Seen her play good and bad characters and I just hope she gets casted more because her acting is even better than some popular female actresses.

Yes, I was extremely confused by this as well, why didn't they at least dye Sera's hair? I thought Kang Ddo would…
Oh yeah I didn't think of that about him being drunk and likely not recognizing her but ep 7 today don't make sense lol the way she looks the same in the cleaning outfit...

I didn't realize that it's only 12 episodes as it's moving fast, I get that it's a comical drama but why are their disguises not great? Especially in the latest episode with the secretary taking photos and even in the beginning Sun Woo's disguises would make you think people would recognize him by now. I'm liking the drama with the characters and its something different but wished that the characters acted more smart

He is a character actor and very good on that. His advantage is that he looks like his age and he takes roles…
your comment addressed nothing about what he did wrong and how the industry is still casting him. We all have our own opinions but for me and most of what others have said, he always has the same facial expressions and mood. Of all the dramas I've seen him in (which are many) other than having a few scenes of being mad, he's pretty subpar. You mention about him being a character actor and being good on it, I don't see it and would much prefer other actors being casted as villains, ceos, etc. that can actually act and not being portrayed as just a 'character actor'
lo_ve Jul 19, 2022
ISH isn't a go-to actress for me however I've seen quite a bit of her dramas already and her acting is quite bland, sometimes the confused or emotionless look. It makes me bored watching her and I've tried to change my mindset about her but she's the same in most of the dramas. I don't mean any hate but this is my opinion on her acting. There are many on her page commenting about her look which "turns them away" and her fans defending her for the hate comments, I am judging her acting based on all the dramas I've seen and not basing it off of her looks. It seems that she's starting to be casted pretty frequently which hopefully she can start to take on different roles for us to see her acting but I'd prefer some other actresses that are exceptional yet aren't being casted much

cute drama and a unique romcom storyline that isn't so typical but pretty average. honestly skipped all the scenes of the older couple and couldn't find myself relating to the SML or SFL. the character of the SML and his background was almost excessive? I skipped a lot of parts so maybe I missed out but the way the FL was nonchalant about his behaviour and not taking steps to prevent conflicts doesn't make sense. They added more depth to the second leads than they did for the main couple. I think cutting down the episodes or a better written plot would've made the drama more memorable. I can't seem to remember much from this drama. Would recommend as a drama to put on while doing a task etc. as you won't miss important details
