AASOL .. is ALL sweet and smooth .. it's a Wu Lei LOVEFEST for the "Lady Viewers"
If you are in the mood to swoon and fix your female gaze on Dream Boy .. go for it. Doubt it has the fire and angst and roller coaster and storm and deep fluster and flutters that L&P has. But I shouldn't be the one to say this cause (disclosure) I DID drop the show quick and fast .. and the above sentence is a presumption (monkey face palm).
She and her Perfect Husband is a MATURE .. chunky 'business' and business woman oriented show .. Xu Kai's best performance IMO .. It's very "talk-talk" (the FL began to tire me out and I glazed over) and has a 'chamber low action' feel to it.

I dropped Forever Love because the FL became too preachy and goodie two shoes.
Which L&P FL didnt .. she stayed her own person and never lost her ability to be "pragmatic" .. not a "schemer" but a SMART GAL who knows how to get the job done.

But Li Xun is the ONE person in her life who SAW / SEES what great things she can achieve once she is let free to fly (he has the guts to say it her mom's face, she who is clipping her wings forever) He is the ONE who totally admires and respects her dedication and devotion and talent for GREAT LEADERSHIP.
I have quotes for these .. of when and where he says them with ABSOLUTE admiration of her. It's why HE FALLS for her .. he has found the partner of his DREAMS as she has of hers - to be part of something REALLY BIG and MEANINGFUL.
Mom is just short-sighted and unable to see beyond her narrow life view .. She is a kind of modern day Mrs Bennet (Pride & Prejudice)
But give Parallel World a try .. if "fantasy - sci-fi" kinda blend with a slice of life handling of it is something you might enjoy.
VERY mature relationship .. and one of the sexiest strongest FL roles (Ni Ni is too good).
You could also try Fake it Till you Make it. TWO very strong characters .. who are going to do the 'dating dance' and it has a real life romance feel .. with oodles of flutters .. AND the second FL's storyline is equally engaging.
i'm gonna trust everyone here that this is a good drama and give it a try! there's just no good kdramas atm ðŸ˜
