πIt's not a "romance" drama..as in it's not the MAIN story..Its a slow burn thriller - suspense show I'd say..…
π€ͺ I slurped my way through FOMH.
The first time seeing Yang Yang.
And my 3rd CDrama last August when my Chinese Journey started. Prior to that 3 years of only KDrama like a loyal tail wagging dog I looked at nothing else.

Aww. I am glad too πβ¨π
You know what I am HUGELY AND MOSTLY psyched about when I saw the 7.5 AaSoL rating π of yours?? I am in sync with your view and opinion of it ππ
I entered that minefield and left some unpopular lengthy comments π π«£
Thankfully had enough people feel the same way π
I find Wu Lei a brilliant actor... But Drama had no BITE.. No texture etc.
I dropped the show.. Around Ep 7/8 I think....hopped and peeked at few later eps including last one.. And decided I couldnt sink my time into it.
AND once again (after reading your description of why your liked Tunnel) tugging at your sleeves once again : (wink) check out 2 eps of UF. Am betting 80% you'll not drop it π
πIt's not a "romance" drama..as in it's not the MAIN story..Its a slow burn thriller - suspense show I'd say..…
You are a TRUE BLUE romance watcher π Looked at your list..
Except for 1 blip "Tunnel" (you rated 9/10) which is tagged as "slight romance" most of your shows are romances as primary plot or one of the main plot threads.
The other thing I noticed is a 7.5 /10 for AaSoL. π«’ Was surprised because Drama world is swooning in the eyes of Wu Lei' stares π
I was suppose to watch this after watching ML in Two Conjectures of Marriage. but, I just noticed this is not…
π It's not a "romance" drama..as in it's not the MAIN story.. Its a slow burn thriller - suspense show I'd say.. BUT the romance is integral to the drama and is a plot driver.. It's not a FLUFFY feel romance ..Relationship is a better word for it It's adult - serious - slice of real feel.
Quite qood series and i enjoy the the mystery identity of ML and husband death plot but it started going down…
It was such a seductive drama - loved it to bits but you nailed its disappointing aspects VERY WELL.
I lost the finance - business - embezzlement plot totally.. I don't understand "world of finance and white collar crime" so all the more it escaped.
You are so right - wanted to see a LOT more emotional coming on of the FL towards the ML. That stayed imbalanced.. The kisses were "NOT beautifully shot". After all the "forced" kisses expected an FL initiated spontaneous "propah" kiss.
So much fat trimming could have happened with the length of scenes and camera lingering. It's beautiful but NOT ALL parts of the drama need to be like that
It's from you I learnt that the Drama is based on a NOVEL.Now I get WHY the Drama is sooo uneven and hashed up…
ππ€£π
I think you should bump it up π Am on Ep 11 And still wracking my brains thinking of possible scenarios even as an interesting but confusing romance angle developing as an integral part of the plot.
The type of suspense mystery human dramas that are my most favorite.
I am amazed at how MATURE some CDramas can be π₯°
I have my fingers crossed that it does not start to skip beats and slide into some nonsense.. Itll totally p!&& me off!!
This looked like a very serious show with two of my fave actors.. They are so good at their work.. So I wondered if it had structured a solid romance angle into it
π€£π because if there is one thing I have learnt and enjoyed about Asian Drama is the incredible flexibility and adaptability it has in blending genres.
Even a thriller fantasy might put in a spoon of romance to stir it up a bit.
If a serial killer show can gorgeously use a weave of strong romance thread as part of its inricate structure and strength can this be unimaginable π

I had no idea that CDrama had hidden gems.
Barely a court scene - that too was linked to a family plot point and not any "court" stuff.

I would still nudge you to taste 1-2 eps of it.. π€ͺ

Yes. Sometimes we just need that little bit of extra description to push us to a decision.
Glad I was able to help you decide for good

Precisely what I addressed in my spiel π
Like I said - for a day when I am in the mood to pull it down.

The drama team does seem in control till now
Loving the actors - all of them.

I thought of you for some reason as someone who enjoys "adult" complex serious slice of life feel dramas.
Am on Ep 5 and am RIVETTED.
Beautifully shot - wonderfully enacted..
I came to this show because I ππ§‘π the FL in FITYMI..
Her as an actress and her character in it.
It's called :
"UNEXPECTED FALLING".
I will keep it for a day of "no romance" mood then.
What made you return to take another look?
