LOL
I think the poster is goddamn bright and shiny as though its a rom-com!!!

I'd expect a rich brocade and deep tones ..

DRAMA ALERT :

@twinty
@kinara
@Arbaz Akhtar
@nathsketch

Okay I HAD TO.. ABSOLUTELY HAD to come post this HERE:

ALL those who were shipping Meng Xiao Dong's coupling; were waiting for; were dying to get screen time for his arc as a major thread; HAUL YA"LL A$$E& over to
>>>> "SCENT OF TIME"
You GET globs of WXY (Wang Xing Yue) and reach shipping heaven!!!

ALSO discovery : JHOU YE!!!!!!!!
KICKASS TOP STAR LIST ..
Hurrahs for her.

This drama is ALSO a CALL OUT to those wanting a "SCENT OF SOKP"

JUST Bungy Jump into the show and DO NOT go looking for "how does it end" ..

My 30 hour straight binge after a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG time

The last time was during Empress Ki

LOL

I see you have SOKP on the watched LIST

This had for me a mild "Scent of SOKP"

And SML Zhang Zhe of SOKP is upended here for the ML Zhong Xi Wu

ROFL

I get you ..
I would too

JHOU YE!!!

She caught my eye in this show .. two days ago in this drama (which I shelved) and went looking for other shows by Jhou Ye and serendipitiously bumped into
~ SCENT OF TIME (2023)

It was the "scent of SOKP" that made me bungy jump into SOT headlong ..

AFTER A LOOOOONG Time was did a full straight on 30 hour binge!!

Reminded of the time I did that with Empress Ki (well I took short sleep breaks)

you know what? mine too.
She just SHOT up my list - a new fave star

dramacool

I BAWLED SO MUCH .. After a LONG LONG LONG time!!

The above comment has a SPOILERY but about the ending ..

I'd advise DONT look!!!!
There is poignant poetry in the ending .. and this is d DRAMA you JUST BUNGY jump into

ALL viewers who were left desperate at the end of AaSoL for an eyeful of Wang Xing Yue as Meng Xiao Dong ..

HAUL YOUR A$$ out here at this Drama..

ALL viewers who wanted another TRIP into the past to FIX mistakes story ALSO HUL your A$$ out here ..

THIS IS a GORGEOUSLY made drama with the "SCENT of SOKP" but .. completely in its in OWN UNIQUE SPACE!!

Jhou Ye YOU RULE!!!!!!!
Wang Xing Yue YOU RULE!!!!

Stellar CAST STORY ACTING PRODUCTION.

DONT SCROLL NOW .. My comment on ending SHOULD NOT be viewed for your MOSTEST enjoyment of show.

The End will KILL the viewer but just about revive them back with scents ..
Thus gave it a 9.0 / 10 and not a 11/10 as I was planning to ; I FELT CHEATED - stabbed and left dying boohoohoo!!

I haven't done a 30 episode STRAIGHT BINGE (with only bathroom breaks) since Empress Ki days I think.

He broke hearts in AaSoL as the SML .. viewers went NUTS with the unsatisfactory treatment of his character's loveline and focus ..

And his role got SO much FLAK is SOKP :-D

WHAAAAT!!!!

This hasn't been SUBBED YET???

I came here to check out Hong Yao ..
He is so HOTTTTT.

I watched EVERYONE LOVES ME (ELM) and he's just a support role .. but he really IS and SHOULD have been the MAIN LEAD in that show .. For me he stole the show and I'd rather have watched the show with him and the FL being the mains .. rather than the current ML who was a pretty faced boy miscast - he'd have done well as an easy going support role .. one of those flower boys that Drama uses sometimes to help the support role females.

@fhsenapi
I just reposted (c/p) because it captured my feelings about the drama.

Hope its OK

I loved her comment - even after 8 months I feel exactly this way about the drama.
I hope you are Ok that I brought forward your comment ;-p

@fhsenspi

🚨underrated alert. 🚨
8.7 maybe a bit low. As other 8.7 drama don't even hold a candle to this. 9.0 should be more appropriate rating for this drama.

I'll raise you a hundred thou on that ;-p

And he is this uniquely sensitive actor whose face runs with currents of intractable complex emotions .. his eyebrows are alive as are his eyes of course .. Inimitable.
The character of Li Xun was written for him ONLY

I watched a wee bit (maybe an episode or 2 with some FFD) of the drama O2O.

I came to check it out after seeing Yang Yang in FOMH..

I guess Jing Boran in in the film version.
I did think I should watch the film rather than the drama .. but I didnt.

There was too much 'gaming' stuff and I couldn't relate to it.
Also one of the reasons that I couldn't watch YAMG and dropped it.

LOL
correct it's not a hint ha ha ha.

But I LOVED the show PRECISELY because it broke away from the conventional plot lines and brought forth such a compelling story and characters .. they each have their complex range of emotion .. and the decisions they make in the drama are what propel the drama forward making it so edge of the seat.

I have binge watched this show - THRICE.

It's one of my ALL time top K-drama

On Ep 11.

Am I the only one who is getting Flutters over Director Jiang??

I mean I can't stop imagining him in a Drama as the Lead.. Like RIGHT NOW.
I'd dump this show and go watch that.

He is SO GOOD at his role.
Angry - vulnerable - jealous and his symmetrical face also..

The ML is decent.. But isnt cutting it.
Kind of deflated pretty face types and not that great at acting this role (maybe it just my personla wish and not what the director - scriptwriter were aiming for). He's coming across as support role material in a easy going amiable person sort of support character.

That Director Jiang!!! Yummy.

Show hasn't even hinted at him having a love interest.

It'd be sloppy and cringey if drama throws him into one vertex of a triangle later in the show

One of my rewatch quality drama.

They don't make shows like this any more.

Anyone watched Penny Pinchers?
It's a film but has a sort of similar feel .. also has a brilliant actress and then of course the early days of Song Joong Ki
