Hee Hee Hee .. that's how you and I went bonkers over L&P Gosh That Li Xun was one heck of an intense character who was a magnet for 'people's hate and dislike" as the Lead Character in that drama.. Actually more 'misunderstood' than bad .. someone who was simply 'a-social .. except with a very very few people in his life.
I think I defended his character motivations and wrote the maximum number of comments on that thread LOL
*hug. SOKP has the sweetest ending Iβve ever seen in cdrama land lol. A lot of time, sweet ending can be very…
true .. I LOVED the teasing playfulness of it. Reminded me of the LYX - Bai Lu dynamics in "Love is Sweet" They were such an adorkable pair in that ;-p
And the adorkable playfulness of CFY and FL in Lighter and Princess. Such natural ease and HILARIOUS .. not an iota of cheesiness or cringe AT ALL.
I have just started watching and it is quite intriguing! Yeah Viki / Netflix should get this - the subtitles will…
goodness!! Exactly!!
I got a headache trying to sieve the dialogue from the lyrics. They should not put lyrics when characters are talking.
Plus the dialogues were sometimes long and didn't continue over the entire speech .. so I had to pause SO MUCH to read (I am NOT a zippy reader .. regular speed sub reader - Netflix / Viki does a great job usually). Or is Mandarin a very concise language that conveys a LOT in very few syllables? I know that some language translations are not the same length. (which sometimes sets up HILARIOUS situation comedies of course .. where a character talks and talks and talks and then the translator says a clipped sentence and the other party is like : "... and?? That's ALL?" LOL
ALSO some dialogues just flashed by like lightning - was so annoying when it happened during the intense Bai Lu - ZLH scenes (I was like .. oh no not the lyrics again).
I just sent ya links on Sokp pagehttps://www.watchasian.sk/drama-detail/sora-kara-furu-ichioku-no-hoshi-https://www.watchasian.sk/drama-detail/ice-world
Some people didnt like his acting ?Whooey!! I think he's a new talent on the horizon .. barely 3 years in and…
Both are Kdramas
The FL in Red Sleeve wasn't my cuppa - so I had to grit my teeth in the beginning episodes .. it also began with many 'cringey - cheesy' Kdrama tropes .. which frankly had me drop the show for a LOOOONG time .. but I picked it up again because I kept hearing how brilliant Jun Ho (who I LOVE as an actor ever since Just Between Lovers) was in it.
What I noticed is that as the drama progressed the FL grew on me .. and her acting got better and better. And of course Jun Ho .. shone.
Not an easy straight story ar all. Try it.
Bloody Heart .. beginning to end .. the story raced breathlessly .. LOVED LOVED the actress .. one of my ALL TIME favourite ..
Cool go check again.
I added more...under modern settings -which is L&P
Actually since we were talking Period Drama I only put those similar setting drama examples.
I have shelved the show for now.
Will return once I get off my "bad boy - bad gal" Drama mode .. and cant find one
You can put this query as a new comment and not on the thread.
More people will see it and comment

the one in which you put your ratings for the Kdramas we brought up?
GOSH GOSH !!!
YESSSSSSS. "Secret" was sooooperb!
I LOVED that MAD tangled one soooo much .. binged TWICE .. and might actually do so third time someday, when I return to Kdrama again
At the moment I am new to Cdrama - just 5 months - so am having fun discovering the actors and great dramas and genres here.
I ALSO LOVED how the SML was treated in the script .. ufff richness of script and story.
