IMHO it's a CLASSIC .. check it out .. Hitchcock - Ian in feel and style .. Edge of seat speed and story development .. and the ACTORS .. of course top ones in the stable

Thank God ~ I didnt want to be the ONLY daft person who dropped this drama at Ep 1 .. I did FFD and chunk watched upto Ep 5 .. eeesh!! It's a snail was writing on the pavement as it crept along ..

Now THAT is a time loop drama that was Hitchcock-ian .. and had me sitting at the edge of my seat with the 'speed' it was developed and moved forward .. breathlessly ..

Such fab reviews .. just started watching .. drawn by the effusiveness and the 9/10 rating.

Ep 1 :
Anyone else thought that it was dragging a lot - reducing the tension of the drama significantly .. no one forgets what happened barely 15 minutes ago (within the same episode ) in drama time to require such drawn out 'repeats' of previous scene ..
Such repeats usually are done when a new episode is aired after a week .. just as a quick recap and pulling back into the drama tension .. Making lose my patience ..

Going to persevere and FFD the repeats .. both actual footage .. and each character being individually being given the recap in some form or other (eye roll) ..

Anyone was watching this on Viki (US / Canada)??

I tried several times and it's jumping and patchy and slow .. not streaming smoothly.

Just wanted to check if this is just an issue today .. or for a while? Or no one else is having this issue.

Am so eager to check this out - the rating of 9/10 made me so curious.

It's a comedy - she is funny.. And doesn't like being controlled.

LOL .. it makes no difference to me as of now .. because thankfully I had already watched it before wading in here ..

Honestly speaking I'd not have wanted to know this fact before I watched the show .. it was an important reveal for me .. and one of the MAIN reasons I value this show is how well it incorporates this issue into the grain of the drama .. I for example was NOT aware of male breast cancer.

The only reason I had asked for a spoiler tag is just in case there is someone like me who'd prefer not knowing this fact - it's not in the MDL story brief either for a reason.

Of course I'll agree to differ .. it's your call on what you wish to include in your comment ..

read the comments here - most folks are saying that S2 is disappointing .. and that it doesn't begin from the cliff hanger ending - whatever that means.

I am not wanting to watch this .. if there is anything more frustrating is the change of cast AND no continuity of story

Chen Fei Yu as Ning Que is inimitable - they are fused into each other.
No way can anyone wrap S2 of Ever Night.
Dylan Wang has his own charm - but he wasn't that strong an actor in the early days.

You are right about Leo Wu.
He had phenomenal talent.

I started this and realized from the comments that the story ends on a Cliffhanger!!!
And it stays unresolved 🫣 in S2

But we need people like him - sharp and observant, inflexible, blunt, short sighted and narrow focused.

I did not think ZZ character casting was successful.
That's why he didnt appeal to us. It needed a better actor to convince us of why Ning-er was so drawn to him.. We didn't feel him or her or them.

The way we felt Yan Lin and her relationship.

We saw Yan Lin's longing and felt how difficult it was for her to navigate that relationship with him. It was well directed.

ZZ needed to make us feel him and his pangs.. And feel her pain when she figured out his "filial" grief and attachment far outweighed and displaced anything that he might have begun to feel for her.

Am thinking which actor / role that I have seen as SML which might have been a better fit.

It wasn't revealed until quite a bit into the show - I don't recall the episode no.

It was a TOTAL SURPRISE for me and DID act as a plot moving engine.

If I hadn't watched the show this isn't something I'd like to be told.

Not watched it.

I usually skip shows that don't have a strong romance as a weave of the plot..
So I liked Love All Play because it focused on.. Love of Badminton and the arc that reach character crossed.. And superb capture of the "sport".

I loved Twenty One - Twenty Five also.. Because of the character's love of Fencing and how it was shot

I like the adrenaline shot the viewer gets when watching a well done game scene

I REALLY like the FL they chose for FlexxCop

Saw her in a brief role - appears towards the end of the show - and liked her aura and visuals.
One of my FAVE shows (rewatched in full) "Love All Play" ~ fabulous Badminton GamePlay shoot and of course LOVELY chemistry between the leads.
