I ENJOYED the dimensionality that was given to creating LC character .. it gives the DRAMA a solid heft by making him SO human .. Same with Princess .. I doubt the Drama would have gripped us and kept us on our toes had these two not been given the fullness and shading in the emotions they are going through .. One can empathise with the self-made traps they have enclosed themselves in ..

BUT BUT I shudder to think that Mudan will turn 'saintly' and redeem everyone .. THAT would be OCC if pushed too strongly.

In S2 I want to see MUDAN 'blossom' just like that .. into her full 'womanhood' and own it unabashedly .. prove Sheng Yi wrong .. it isn't necessarily a doomed state to be born a woman .. It can be a beautiful way to live in a woman's body and mind in this birth..
AND .. men have secrets too .. and 'stuff' to offer NOT just 'business' and 'protection' and 'friendship' .. something far more 'sizzling' ROFL ..

I guess at just 14 episodes it's being bypassed plus not sure many people know these leads. That could be another reason. But each Ep is 1 hour long. So if you mag it 40 min eps it would be 21 eps
However I agree with the comments here 💯💯💯
They have one of the hottest sexiest chemistry of OTP ever - which had a natural arc and very believable "skinship" once they become a couple.. Even the teasing on the way to becoming a couple.
The princess should have him lol 😜 He deserves it….….I no longer have any sympathy for him as he spied…
