I just finished my 4th WATCH of the drama (over the last 3 years since 1st watch) and it's TOTAL INSANE!!!!
One of the TOPMOST in DRAMAWORLD I'd say

This Drama totally ripped you up...
Triggered some core limbic response...your buttons were not only pressed but burnt into toxic odours

Maybe such responses to drama reveals a lot about a viewer's own life script.

Such a bilious response that's streaked all over 🤓🤓🤓 this thread not sparing other commenters who express, explain their opinions...

That's not normal response on a Discussion thread.

Some serious self reflection seems necessary - lashing out at those who aren't in agreement needs some level of self censorship, unless the person is below 13 y.o.

That totally explained to me why he did what he did when XG2 saw him with Wen Ya.

That holding hands had felt so out of character.

And only after that extra scene did it fall into place.
He was so deeply stabbed!!!
I wanted to bawl along with him seeing his tear streaked face as he rode back away.

It must have felt even more painful and ridiculous to him especially after she yelled at him about Wen Ya

Oh I have already watched it.
I came to this page to check what others thought of the drama after finished.

My elated rating was 10/10

Needed a CHOPPING board : to trim the fat and lard that was dragging the drama down and making it sag ..

The super annoying interruptions were JUST too many ..
They became FRIGHTENINGLY close to horror flick 'jump-scares' ... you know it's coming .. Just how irritated do excess jump-scares make you ? It made me begin to grit my teeth.

I love the actors BUT I wanted to run after the script and producer-director team with a saucepan .. Or maybe another ubiquitious bowl of cut fruits or jug of pomegranate juice ..
What were the Shooting Team eating I wonder with so much fruit lying around ..

ALSO LOVED the Business part of the Drama - that is usually LOST on me .. in this I GOT it .. and it also added to the general tension building ..

It's NOT confusing .. If you NOT paying attention you will lose the plot .. and once you drop the thread you'll be lost and then leave in a huff .. highly annoyed LOL

ALSO puhleez try to avoid 'misreading' the "FL kisses 3 MLs" dirt throwing - which IMO is so simplistic and superficial and devoid of any ability to dive deeper ..

WARNING: If you are here for standard cutesy fluff and CXY-shipping and neatly tied bows and linear neat storylines .. you will be rudely shocked -annoyed -pissed off and barfing your way back home

I generally don't watch dramas bereft of romance (even if slight and to the side of main focus - I need it) because for me romance is the sauce and salt of a ANY drama .. gotta have a pinch at least ..

But for LXY I think I will .. it's got some very high WUXIA ratings and I LIKE wuxia (EVERNIGHT??)

I DROPPED that drama which got me so excited (the fantastic Ep 1) BECAUSE of that final FL actress.

HOW I"D HAVE LOVED for the SCARFACE actress to continue!!! WITH the scarface!!!

No I cant stomach her .. But now that I know LXY is in it ..
Hmmmm... I am wondering if should hold my nose and give one more try.

BTW I battled with LBFAD for more than a year .. sniffing .. dropping .. one spoonful and spitting it out ALL because of the FL in it who makes me do U-turns however great a movie is .. (am I stepping on your toes? Bhauwisa!) I SO SO SO wanted to watch Dylan Wang do his THANG in it ..
And then I FINALLY held my nose and dived in.
She never grew on my .. but I learnt to tolerate .. and there was relief in the scenes she is possessed by Dylan character .. there I can handle her a little better ..

YAY!!!

Agree on all the Pros ..
About the 2nd lifeline .. yeah some find it difficult to dissociate the FL arc that goes to Shanghai with the FL arc that stays in Leshan ..

THEY are two different stories altogether .. PLUS .. how is it unreal to fall in love a second time when the first one doesn't work out?

I think this issue troubled a LOT of Viewers in DOUBLE also .. a Married Woman in deep love with her husband (shown intimate scenes and kisses also in that) falls for and kisses the ML (ROFL that too ZXY tee hee .. many bust a vessel for sure)

Although the 'silent likes' to your comment shows there are MANY more out there who didnt want to wade into this muddy pool

He had a similar life experience I believe.
His mom needed Kidney Replacement surgery .. and he was relieved that by then he made enough money for that.
Otherwise his relationship to money is JUST as in this Drama's role
