Not quite a triangle as such.. But a very mature poignant sort of second "attraction" that borders on "unsure - confused - resolved"..beautiful and maturely handled.. Your heart will hurt a little for both and you'll love both... But OTP is totally unequivocally into each other.. 💖✨💖

I wasn't sure about the switch at first - because CFY just slayed the role...but then the second part Dylan slayed it too.

That's how I LOVE to describe it. It's not just a great drama but a WORK OF ART.
So each of my rewatches have been about focusing and looking for and noticing the stylistic and construction devices that made it so compelling riveting.. The ways the characters were presented (their actions movements expressions interactions and the positioning in the setting and the camera framing) ALL of that was so thoughtful that one could write a whole essay / thesis on it. And after my 4th watch and taking notes I am tempted to write a few.

I wish I had the savvy to make such clips...that way we could show all those people who saw him as "toxic" could get evidence of just how "loyal - just - fair" he is in his dealings.
Yes he is sometimes rude impatient in your face aloof doesn't like to interact when he is busy picky about who to hang with etc etc..
But that's a personality thing...and we know many who are like that...
However his generosity and putting himself out there for others and slogging until his body collapses (when his team isn't able to he takes up the lax) his empathy his ability to put himself in danger of losing everything he has built and sweated over.. His honesty with people his ability to trust...those are giantific things which completely wash away the character quirks.. Teeny blips ZY and his buddies see right past🧡💜🧡💜🧡💜

I remember that for weeks after L&P every other drama tasted bland. Couldn't watch anything else. Spent inordinate amount of time thinking discussing rewatching...and even taking a break from Drama world 🤣🤣

I watched this a year ago. Rewatched twice since then.. Discussed it to death.. Made friends on MDL for the first time.. Because the pressure to experience the thrill of it with fellows was so strong.
L&P watchers have a level of enthrall that is unparalleled. They go for days stuck in its eddy... Some remain forever in its orbit and return to it.
L&P gets MOST flak because a lot of viewers come with preconceived notions of "romance" story... Wanting a plate of PURE fluffy romance and then don't notice just how RICHLY LAYERED and well made the drama is.
It's NOT for those looking for a regular "easy to digest" quick bite fast food romance.
It's deep...intricate and has exquisite craftsmanship. VERY FEW DRAMAS achieve this level of perfection

Many who disliked it didn't make the distinction between great drama brilliantly made AND great drama but a lot of it went over my head so I dropped it.
I recall dropping MONEYFLOWER because revenge focused plot wasnt my thing BUT it was a BRILLIANTLY made as a drama and highly recommended for those who like it.
Same with GLORY.. And many of the non-romance dramas which shine but not of interest.
