@OnlyCDrama BOY, SOME PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW TO POST THEIR TITLEThis review may contain spoilersGOOD DRAMA BUT…
I AGREE
She wrote very well but this was a BIG blunder .. I don't know I should thank her or be mad!!
It prepared me for the worst .. BUT it didn't save me from being punishingly gut punched .. I just began to get anxious and miserable from after he leaves for the airport.
I am not sure the person checks her pings .. I hope she does .. have also put in a complaint to drattention to it
@cookieCheck him out in the stellar film "Upcoming Summer" ~ he's an extrovert in that. Also in the Drama "Our…

You are ditto me.
I ALWAYS check for the romance tag.
Our times doesn't have one. BUT if you read the last line of the MDL brief there is a mention of some romance.
Now personally I prefer a drama which has a romance thread strongly entwined as part of the Drama plot, story telling is an integral part even as other strong themes and stories hold it all together.
It's on Hold for after my tester episode. I will π―watch it someday when I am not getting anything far more gripping π€ͺ (romance-wise)
If Wu Lei is such a disaster, why are you here? With how much you disliked him in AASOL, you shouldn't have even…

@Divine Aria No hard feelings. Apology accepted. ππ½
Thank you for the explanation also.
I hear you π
Yes plenty of viewers who fixate on actors and then nothing else matters after that - more than the drama, the fan-celeb worship becomes the prime engagement.
And that's often when a lot of "bile" is ejected π€
I love it more than Amidst a Snowstorm of Love β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
Phew!!!!
So happy to see this opinion - cause I loved the test run of this show and kept it in the jar for a day when nothing else is creating a craving. The rainy day cookiejar

@Divine Aria
And third and final point I wish to make : ~ one may very well find a drama hugely lacking BUT the actors extremely good; ~ one may not have enjoyed a favourite actor's PERFORMANCE in a particular drama ~ one may not have liked a favourite actor's ROLE / CHARACTER in the drama
One needs to understand the difference BETWEEN : - commentary on THE DRAMA - comment on the ACTING - comment on the CHARACTER as written for the story
It's never about JUST an ACTOR.
So to say "stay off" an actor when you see that name is kind of meaningless (besides being outright rude).

This ELABORATE comment is for anyone else who might "misread" the original text and / or be propelled by @Divine Aria"misreading " to also go off on a tangent

The second thing I wish to say to you is this, irrespective whether a commenter has left a negative opinion or a positive one it's rude to use this kind of language; rude to tell someone to "stick to your lane" ~ what is this discussion board for, some kind of racing event with LANES?? THAT too lanes for ONLY positive reviewers??
A DISCUSSION BOARD is NOT an ECHO CHAMBER. It's a place to express a variety of opinions and views... It's a place to find folks you vibe with on how you reacted to a drama PLUS check out what made some people have opinions different (or absolutely opposite) of yours.
AND WHEN you wish to rebut someone or engage with someone with dissimilar views you can do so respectfully.
Yes you may feel "triggered" but just like IRL you would keep a polite stance - you can keep a similar attitude online (there is an actual person there.. Not an AI generator).

Oh dear!
@Divine Aria
I need to change the wording of my comment I guess. It's easy to misunderstand the way it came off π€¦π½ββοΈ
I was commenting on the general trend of "negative" reviews here; in quite large numbers; ON THE DRAMA MAINLY - not Wu Lei.
I π―π― got hooked to the drama by watching just the 1-2 eps and decided to squirrel it away for a drama drought phase.
If you scroll down to comments from 3 months ago you'll see my first reaction of excitement at having found a really good show of his.
You mistook my use of the word "disaster" - it wasnt used as an adjective for Wu Lei but for the Drama, PLUS it was used in a question (WHY) to people who felt the drama failed - INSPITE of having Wu Lei in it. Next, you seem to have seen my long comment about AASOL from that shows MDL discussion thread..... The MOST important distinction I made while expressing my opinion on why the show didn't work for me was that, though the DRAMA didn't grab me, "it's a Wu Lei show" and the reason for my sustained watch for several episodes was solely because of the power of his magnetic presence and talent.
Just wanted to clear up the wrong "reading" you made of my comment because it's the EXACT OPPOSITE of how I consider Wu Lei's prowess and standing in the Cdrama stable of TOP Actors.
If you check my TOP TALENTED ACTOR list (on my MDL page) you will see his name.
The dance is explained at a later episode. She does it to prove a point and show βher masterβ her capabilities.
It's actually more than that.
Far down the line when they are together she gives him the real reason she picked HIM, instead of some random fellow to demonstrate her skill to 7th Master.
Those who wish to know will ASK or READ spoiler tagged comments .. you don't need to put on title.
Its TWO MONTHS and STILL nor changed????
Please change

I CAN'T get over the REALNESS of this grief that the drama evoked.
It was the CRUELEST love story EVER made in Drama.
Not even Empress Ki can BEAT this "hollow Ness" in the chest... They unbearable pain.
The only other time my GRIEF came close to this was when I watched AGE OF INNOCENCE πππ

I have this on hold for a rainy day watch when I am nothing else is grabbing my eyes.

I dread that moment when a brilliant drama gets draggy and fizzles out.
