Victoria Song has this ability to DROWN out and KILL romance EVEN in dramas that have romance integral to their theme AND PLOT structure.
She also KILLS and DRAINS all the emotion out of her co-actors!!! SOME of them are TOP TALENTED actors who shine so bright!
I mean look at the KIND of actors she's pulled down into the mud!! Lack of chemistry and rising up to her co-stars!! WEIRD part is she GETS all these HIGH potential GREAT script idea dramas to begin with :-O
She killed Timmy Xu's role in ALMOST LOVER / killed Luo Yun XI in BROKER .. and god knows how many more.

What a STEEP drop for my FAVE Kdtama Actor - such far cry from ~ WOK OF LOVE (if I were to compare with a SUPERB rom-com IMO a classic with a stellar cast of the best)

Many of us who are put off by gratuitous use of skinship in Western Drama / movies enjoy the respite Asian Drama provides by building up relationships before any sort of physical act is shown .. makes it more relevant to the show .. Besides the fact that PDA isn't an Asian thing ..
HAVING SAID THAT .. YESSS .. it's a BIT too infantile OF COURSE when ADULTS act skittish after their relationship has been established ..
Finding a balance between skinship and story requirement is a tight rope walk that ONLY a handful of Dramas can PULL off SO SO WELL.
Examples of those :
~ WLIS (Will Love in Spring) what a beautifully played chemistry .. those skinship ACTS were NEEDED to propel the story forward!
~ REPLY 1988 (without those the story comes to a grinding halt)
~ Another Miss Oh (progression is visible ONLY when .. )
~ City of Streamers (WOW .. the barriers falling needed the shift)
~ Love is Sweet (oh story go to heck .. JUST the CHEMISTRY glued the DRAMA together and held it FAST)

Asian Drama has DEVILS aplenty though .. Unforgettable Tan Tai Jin spitting blood, seething love, hate, desire in one HISSING cauldron .. He looked like he could suck the blood out of his temptress ;-p Or bash her head in for leading him down the garden path ..
Agree that this is a realistic drama that captures the feelz of what on the ground relationship might feel and sound like ..
So many people got triggered by the FL reaction on that one WILD NIGHT she wanted to be intimate .. I thought the heart and beauty of the drama WAS IN THAT scene.
It didn't flinch away from the reality of the FL's feelings .. It successfully drew out the empathy for her BUT only if one came to watch a 'real life' depiction .. NOT a fairy tale fluffy story .. where FLs dump everything for LOVE and ML

This FL is SUCH A GOOD actress I have NO idea why the director couldn't let her be her natural self ..
She seemed to have been over directed ..
Her Hospital Scene was STELLAR!! That should have been the tone .. allow the actress to find the right "note of cheerfulness" ..
I can almost seen him 'amping' up the "BRIGHTNESS" making her "all washed out and fake" (you know like when you adjust a photo to the point it just looks 'fake')
