I was so curious about Kim Saboo (as LEAD role) in other dramas but didnt find any.
AND THEN .. (ta da) .. I watched Tree with Deep Roots last week and BOOM I almost fell off my chair there he was KING SEJONG .. just rocking that show .. I was SO happy I bumped it it,
I agree with EACH AND EVERY observation you made about the Drama (I am guessing you watched all the 3 seasons).
In fact those are also precisely the reason I LOVE the drama series with KIM SABU ;-p heading it in the lead role.
I too expected a "romantic" drama .. and then was SO swept away by it SO quickly even though 'romance wasn't THE FOCUS at all. JUST integral and enough to make it believable

Please tell me there is a passionate kiss - romance *adult" and slice of life type - as PART of the plot and story .. not just some FLIMSY FLUFFY FISH LIPPY kiddish crap
The FL isn't inspiring much confidence .. the way she is bouncing around and talking in sort of a 'babyish - whispery' voice. And such FL characterisations (if experience tells me) ends up being 'school girly' silly)
The Drama is VERY nice .. capturing it in a real life sort of way .. benign sort of people mostly .. (Am a Dr Romantic / Hospital Playlist SHIPPER .. they were two of my TOP of the list Medical series .. all seasons)
This was my first Wallace Chung as well as Tiffany Tang movie.
They were both excellent but didn't fully vibe with the way the characters were developed in the second half of the show.
Doing a fast rewatch to see if my thoughts about the drama - show are still the same.
What WAS a DELIGHT though was seeing LYX (Luo Yun Xi) in such a young avatar!!!!!💖

He was BRILLIANT🤌🏽🤌🏽 an actor right at the start of his career (I am guessing he started around then).
It was an unexpected surprise to bump into him - in fact by the end of the drama I came away smiling for him (and the Young Mo Sheng playing FL) more than the adult Leads 💖💖💖
I have NO IDEA what came over the scriptwriter / director duo to reduce the lead characters into limp cardboard puppets ☠️
If it means anything : I wouldn't have missed it for anything though.
Seeing LYX and discovering 2 good actors.. Plus the premise of the drama and the first half...I'd raise my rating to a 8.7 easily
