hamas attack was retliation for illegal (both in terms of global and israeli law) settlement of west bank by israelis, the persecution of arabs in israel (evident through actions of far right government of netanyahu such as calling israel a "jewish" state in 2018) and deal with saudis that would screw palestinians over. Now israelis killed thousands of palestinians to retaliate for hundreds of dead israeli. And then what's gonna happen...?

the conflict was immediately preceded by feisty exchange, in which palestinian pm said that hitler had jewish blood, and netanyahu said that hitler didn't want to kill jews but palestinains told him to. radical voices come to power on both sides, on palestinian side it's hamas, on israeli side it's the entire military industrial complex and ruling far right party which calls any attempts to treat palestinains less harshly a "leftist ideology"

the way I see it, they will continue killing each other over and over again in retaliation, and that's the real fuel and reason for this conflict, not arguments from history or the bible that are just a cherry on top of the cake
