he's mad because it's clear that the mc had feelings for ballerina and compares this movie to john wick because it has the former assassin mc taking revenge on mafia who killed her something, and he can't think of any other movie with such plotline

also english doesn't seem to be his forte. he said "founded by nazi psychologist's ancestor" which implies netflix was founded by an ancestor of a nazi psychologist, and probably not what he was trying to say there

aesthetic. been a while since I've seen a movie with this many artsy shots and such a great cinematography. certainly not what I'd expect from an action movie, I'm pleasantly surprised.

I don't know any society that is free from some sort of social issues. If I stopped watching movies from countries every time something bad happened in that country, I would soon have no movies left to watch.

also what is wrong with using services of prostitutes, I think prostitution is just work like any other and should be legal and not stigmatized

based on drama I do feel like koreans have very strong sense of justice, what with lawyers and prosecutors being main characters often, corrupt politicians being villains, son ratting on his father being portrayed as good and glorification of vigilantism

I don't think her acting was good. She had pretty much one expression plastered on her face all the time (eyes wide open, mouth slightly open to reveal the upper teeth). Other then in crying scenes, I guess

Which kinda worked in My Name where she played this traumatized, emotionally stunted character. But here she plays idealist who charges headfirst into danger following her heart, and there is nothing in the narrative that would suggest such a cold personality or tragic backstory. It just doesn't work. Delivery of a lot of scenes, not just romantic ones, fails because of that.
