I think the grandmother told TM that TH was his younger brother… I’m 99% sure…
Technically she says "dongsaeng" which is younger sibling, but could also be used for a younger twin. But I think it's more realistic for them to be siblings, since TM looks way older, and probably also did school and stuff way before TH.
Like I honestly don't like Hyo Do, it's not as if TH his wife can't make a business flourish because from the…
Omg, I agree!! Hyo Do is the most annoying person on this show. He is looking for a quick way to the top... like those "how to become a millionaire overnight"-books. And after almost 40 episodes he hasn't matured one bit! I'm not a big fan of Tae Hee either to be honest, she is trying her best to be independent but at the same time.... she has known about the secret of their grandma for so long without even telling Tae Ho, she's just as bad as her parents in that regard.
Ok, I haven't been here in the comments for a while now, I usually watch the episodes late at night and go to bed straight after. But omg, the reveal??????? Honestly, I did not see this coming at ALL (but i'm also notoriously bad at predicting things in tv.) I'm actually so intrigued to learn more about HOW this happened, like what role did their grandma have in this ordeal? Taemin's "dad" must know right???? if not.... HOW DOES HE NOT KNOW?? But about the accident, I'm inclined to believe Taemin's "dad" over their grandma since he's insisting so hard that he didn't kill them. Although, the grandma says she has proof..... but what proof can a black box camera hold other than him chasing after them?
anyways, the show definitely picked up at the 30 episode mark, but Hyo Do and Tae Hee are as irrelevant as usual. And I'm not really feeling Hyojun and Mirim's storyline either, but at least it's better than the former
I'm so happy Jongwon finally got a big male lead role!!! So deserved, been following him since his rookie days. Only watched one episode so far but it's promising. Honey is a really good actress~
I think what's worse is the diets some of those k-pop idols have to be on, i saw a VIXX behind-the-scenes thing,…
It really should be illegal to force people to go through this torture just to be in a specific industry. Especially since it starts when they are children!! It's pure abuse.
I think what's worse is the diets some of those k-pop idols have to be on, i saw a VIXX behind-the-scenes thing,…
Oh there is so much wrong with the idol lifestyle, diet is one part of it. But so is the lack of sleep, same could be said for actors but while they have maybe 1 week of intense filming or even less, it is a constant thing for most idols. Starting from their trainee period, they wake up super early for school, after school they have trainee related lessons, then practicing until midnight, travel back to the dorm, and then get maybe 4 hours of sleep. This is SO unhealthy. As someone who experienced a great decline of my anxiety when I ran on low hours of sleep for maybe two weeks, they keep it up for YEARS. Even after they're finished with school, if they have debuted by then they'll still be committed to their training, and during promotions and preparation for a comeback they basically run on bare minimum sleep for 2-3 months.
Their bad eating (or not-eating) habits combined with the lack of sleep is just pure torture. I'm happy that at least the diet issue seem to have gotten a LITTLE BIT better recently, as you see a big company like JYP promoting the importance of a healthy weight loss. But I pray for the nugu girlies who still are forced to avoid eating until they reach a certain weight goal. It's absolutely digusting.
This is not healthy at all, directors should stop pushing people to lose weight for roles. Even if your goal is to create the perfect drama, the actors' health should be prioritized. If they are in bad health to the point where they'll have to be hospitalized and possibly recast, it will cost the production a lot of time and money. Even in one of the best case scenarios, if an actor is starved for DAYS, you cannot imagine they will have energy to put out their best acting skills, which lowers the quality of the drama. I can understand for certain roles, the actors need to be "fit" or "in shape" to fit the character, but if that's the case you should let them know months in advance so they can train in a healthy way.
The whole cancer thing is pretty much done and dusted by 20 or so (maybe a bit longer can't remember exactly)…
Oh, I'm so sorry you're going through this.. hopefully a cure will be found one day. Dramas are a good way to escape the bad things we go through in real life, but some themes just hit too close to home. I'm glad those themes are not so prevalent in this show to ruin your experience. Thank you for letting me know~
For the people who have seen this drama: is the cancer plot-line only in the first episode (before she time travels?) I want to start watching this but terminal illness is a trigger for my health anxiety, only one episode could be fine though.
Last week's preview for ep 20 got me looking like a clown, because I really thought we'd get more taehsim in this episode. Instead, we got Hyo Do being a lil shit, Hyo Seong being an ass and more of Ggeut Suns tomfoolery. Tomorrow's episode looks way more promising though.
Isn't it supposed to be available on viki? :') I downloaded the app, but I can' t find the drama at all
Since it's a Kocowa show, some regions (North, Central, and South America) might only have access to it if they have Viki Pass Plus, which includes Kocowa content.
Yes!!! She's skinny but not stick skinny, I love that they are romanticizing a healthy body over starving oneself.…
Yeah, I hope it'll keep increasing.. the 1 episode per week during Asian Games definitely messed with the ratings. But 17% is still weak in comparison to TRHC.. and TRHC wasn't doing super amazing either. LYOL definitely deserves way higher imo. Also, I guess people don't watch the preview for next episode, if it's aired on TV? Because her reaction was even in it

It's so crazy to me how we have this wonderful romance blooming between the leads, but then the rest of the plot is so lackluster. The writer must be just like me, someone who usually skip the boring plot of some weekend dramas (and most cdramas), and just watching the two leads lol.
I think TRHC must've been more popular as it was airing on Netflix internationally (although I think it was a couple of weeks behind, at least where I'm from). And maybe they had a few more higher profile actors in it. It sucksss that LYOL ratings are not doing well domestically, especially in comparison to TRHC. Because fine, LYOL isn't the perfect weekender, but the plot is not as lackluster as the other. I really should participate in LYOL twt starting this weekend! I sometimes screenshot a few scenes but have no one to share them with lol.

For most of her career, Uee has been known for her healthy body. But I remember seeing her on I Live Alone a few years ago, where she lost a lot of weight when she only played sick/sickly looking characters. That's why I was so happy when I saw her cast as a PT! I've seen some critique that she doesn't look fit, but in my eyes I think she looks very fit! Hajun plays the role of a retriever super well, such a nice change of pace from what many MLs are, with being super cold and mean lol.
Lool that part made me giggle so hard, he said that almost proudly, like.. yes my woman is the most attractive person alive..... how can I NOT support this love line i-
(Also, looving your tweets! I need your tweets on my TL! lol. but don't feel pressured to follow back, recently I tweet a lot about politics stuff and books. i do need more kdrama on my TL!!)
Taeho always describing Hyoshim as "healthy and pretty" when asked what kind of person she is, is my (new) favorite…

Me too. I liked that he is standing up against his wife too. He needs to avoid going to her father's birthday.…
EXACTLY! I swear I keep waiting for something to happen. In the last episode, HS even went up to the rooftop because she was dealing with her emotions, and I legit thought we were gonna get another heart to heart between her and the grandma. But no... another fade to black moment lol. Also, it feels like ages since we had the scenes of Ggeut Sun talking with her child in the U.S and sending money to him (which was obviously sketchy) I thought they would develop this into something but then it was just... forgotten?? The pacing of this show has some serious issues, not uncommon for weekenders but this is still on the extreme side of rough pacing.

Oh HS's mom is the absolute worst, the way she treats HS is straight up abuse and gaslighting. I'm honestly intrigued to see if I will feel differently for her towards the end of the show, but right now it doesn't look like it. I genuinly forget that the oldies on the roof top are supposed to be relevant to this show(?) they've been doing absolutely nothing the past 10 episodes lol
I don't have many thoughts for ep 19, a lot of boring stuff happened..... but I have to say, Hyo Seong is growing on me these past two episodes. He has made me tear up twice this weekend. I cannot believe the bare minimum like showing appreciation for HS is making me tear up, she deserves the world. The Sunday episodes may be boring, but at least the previews make me look forward to the Saturday episode lol.

We didn't get much, but at least we got TH and HS smiling because of each other in this episode!!
