So I have finished the series. The kids did their best with the limited storyline and terrible script. The Gun character is scary unlike other series where the stalking is fun, but here, his possessiveness and actions give that psycho-stalker vibe (his smiling can be toned down a bit). I can't forget also that contest where the winner was set aside and the whole damn stage is given to the non-winner (no spoiler).
Bar character is ok. Now I don't know if it is worth watching the next two other series related to this one.
So, the most despicable character from Itaewon Class for me (besides the father) is really an endearing person. Hope to see more of An Bo Hyn as the lead.
Well, that's not a good sign. The previous drama before Gracious Revenge, A Place in the Sun, wasn't satisfactory…
Yes, that concept of forgiveness they want to push often sets aside all those despicable things committed in the earlier episodes. I planned to watch A Place in the Sun, but thanks for the heads up, I'll now pass. And when some makjang endings are desired, the Burning Sun Scandal and yes the justice system in SK often cross my mind.
Finished ep 14, and this series is exceptionally enchanting! The competition performance of Shang Xi Rui is magically executed. The leads are really into their characters and the story flows with the same fluidity as the opera. I have no idea how the story will progress, but hoping the story will not drag in the middle.
Explosive first week (as expected). We expect more suffering of the lead characters, bring them on writers! Just hope the revenge part will be satisfying and commensurate with the heartbreaks and losses. This is often lost in long series like the last one prior to this (Gracious Revenge) which for me has a bad ending episodes.
Just finished ep 7. Despite some odd scenes, this series is one that I can forego those imperfections (as no series suits everyone's taste), and just enjoy its light-hearted tone. Very good series overall!
After the excellent Some Day, One Day, this is the next Taiwanese series I am watching and this did not disappoint too. The first episode has a semblance of the recently-concluded K-series Game Towards Zero (mediocre for me), but Amensalism has a better production value and acting. Plus the chemistry of the leads is already there!
Hope this continues until the end. And I love those MB cars!
I love the start of this series. But after ep 7, the story is showing one too many loopholes. In this age of the internet, the current dilemma of the ML can be resolved easily by himself, considering he has checked the internet regarding the customer satisfaction rating of the hotel. He checked on Sewell too. And news about him were all over. Anyway, no spoilers, but the story suits the earlier era.
Pretty solid first ep. Got me hooked, got the same vibes when I was watching VIP last year but everything here comes pretty fast. I don't see a Revenge tag, so I was wondering if this will revolve around what the title suggests. But it would be good to see some comeuppance, some pretty good ones!
Just finished ep 10 and nothing much happened plot-wise. So, this series followed the live-shoot format instead of being pre-produced (I guess 2gether the series is pre-produced). Now, the series which started so well is in danger of losing its original planned story over COVID-19. Other countries halted production of their ongoing series and show replays of previous series. but this series is maybe doing tweaks to make use of already shot scenes. Anyway, just hoping for the best, Zon and Saifah story has so much potential.
I am on the brink of dropping this one. EP 5 is a waste of time by the lady detective. Anyway, I have given this 4 episodes, but now I realize, it is not for me.
Loving the first 4 episodes, a breath of fresh air. A welcome change from the too straightforward K-series I am currently watching. Hope this is sustained towards the end as some C-dramas tend to snow-dive somewhere in the middle. At this point, Tang Xue and Yu Yan looks so good together!
After ep 10, this is one series that made me cry so often. The script and direction is very well done. But somehow within me, I dislike the Jo Gang Hwa character. The actor is good though, the character is just not to my liking. But the small stories within the series are beautiful and they make the whole series touchingly beautiful. Hope this continues to the end.
I had high expectations from this series. It started very strong, the story and characters are amazing. Except for the first 2 episodes, the succeeding 8 episodes have higher cable ratings than CLOY! But the fire in the series is quick to lose steam and the ratings are on the downward trend the next 3 episodes. It moved up again for ep 14 and 15, but not enough to reach ep 10's current highest rating.
Anyway, the series is still ok, but personally, I lost the great anticipation I had during the first few episodes. Hope for the best for the last episode.
Just finished the series. Overall, it's ok, but a bit boring at times, or maybe I was looking for more from the two main leads in terms of acting and chemistry. Only Im Joo Hwan kept the intensity working within the series. His expressions and eye gestures alone emit that pained character that viewers can't help but to empathize with. The ending is nice though.
Finished ep 90 but why do I find the last few episodes somewhat ruining the whole series. I love majority of the previous episodes but the latter ones make me frown more. Anyway, just a few more, might as well endure it, but still hoping the series will end on a good note.
I was about to drop this after the first episode, but two episodes later, I am so in love with the series. The leads have an amazing chemistry even if they battle head on. The story is unpredictable, and the pacing and editing make viewers like me wanting for more.
