On Gracious Revenge Feb 18, 2020
The last time I checked, this series is doing pretty good, ratings-wise in Korea. I love this series, and with just 25 episodes to go, I hope the conflicts are gradually resolved, not in one go! After MIss Mermaid with 256 episodes and Ugly Alert with 133 episodes, this is the daily drama I enjoy watching!

After loving the finale of CLOY, this is another series I have been deeply invested in and my love for this is on a different level. The story is so well written and the scenes are meticulously woven together to come up with such a masterpiece! This is a series I am more than willing to rewatch.

And I just recalled that line which I love the most: "Your wanting to disappear is not because you're too disappointed in this world , but because you have so many expectations from this world."

Great series!

What a beautiful journey! At the back of my mind, I would love to see the continuation of the story of all the characters, so much can still be told, but all throughout, this series has already given so much love! The combination of a good script, directing and acting coupled with awesome cinematography and the choicest background music give that enigmatic feeling, which is difficult to achieve in most series. Two thumbs up!

On Until We Meet Again Feb 16, 2020
I have finished ep 15 and I am honestly getting bored with how the story and characters are developing. The number of episodes is dragging the series down. I don't want to compare, but maybe TTTS set the bar higher for this genre. I am still continuing at two times speed (even that speed seems still slow). But there are several good scenes esp that dramatic reunion scene in the previous ep.

On a positive note, this series made me discover the beautiful tourist spots in Thailand (one that I clearly remember is the Bridge on the River Kwai, and there are several others), plus those authentic Thai desserts/food.

This is by far my fave k-series now! Park Seo Joon is of course a favorite but hands down to Kim Da Mi. This is my first time seeing her but she is so adorable. Her stares and expressions are priceless. I thought I would feel some second lead syndrome with the Oh Soo Ah character, but nah, Jo Yi Seo steals every moment when she arrived.

And one thing I am loving about this series is the level of positive outlook and second chances ingrained within the story which doesn't feel cheesy. Of course it is expected for the conflicts to come, but what the heck, the DanBam gang makes this series special.

Hmmm, the last episode especially the scene during the awards ceremony is questionable to me. Anyway, this is an enjoyable series for most part, but the last few episodes seem rushed.

Finally finished ep 35 and I can sum up my views regarding this series in a few words. I love this series and is definitely one of my favorites this year!

I am fully immersed in this series. The injustice done to Jo Pil Doo is annoying that I somehow understand the ensuing events.. But the preview for ep 15-16 makes the series unpredictable and worth a good watch. And Im Joo Hwan's acting can be felt deep that it makes up for the unemotional acting of the other leads. His character gives the show's intensity.

Oh wow that was a beautiful episode 8! The contrast between the two patients (as well as the mothers) and within that is the development of the story of the main characters is worthwhile to watch. The music, those crisp dialogues and small reactions and expressions are captured elegantly to make the scenes emotionally captivating. Bravo!

Which kseries disappointed you lately?
I was referring to Chocolate and 9.9 Billion Woman. In my opinion, the former lacks focus on the development of the leads' characters though there are good side stories, and the latter fell flat with the many convenient scenes and coincidences just to advance the plot while the money goes round and round.

I was waiting for the outcome of Mi Yun case, and now seeing the outcome, I am officially in. I hope this is better than the 2 recently concluded Kseries I've watched.

I didn't expect the switch of location, so the prospect of the plot continuing there made this more exciting! And the 10th episode last night registered a 14.633% ratings which is very high for cable standards! So more and more people are loving this series.

I like the first few episodes, but after a few more, there are questions in my mind about how the story progresses. And I find it difficult to empathize with the characters, it may be the acting or the way the characters are developed. Anyway, I will continue to watch with reduced expectations.

I never loved a drama the way I love this series! The story is so good and edited so well that viewers like me want more even if an episode almost lasts 1 1/2 hours. and the serious subject and tone is countered just enough by some light dialogues and reactions. Most of all, the acting by everyone, especially the leads is topnotch. The romance blossoms so beautifully, you will savor each moment!

I am really liking this series. The development of the story and the characters are gradual but viewers can follow well. And I like the fact that it has substance unlike similar C-dramas currently showing which tends to be fluffy and annoying. And the chemistry blossoms from scratch which is nice to relate with. Bai Yu is really fit for these kinds of series while I first saw the female lead in My Mowgli Boy, and she acts natural, not over exerting.

This series is not bad but it is not outstanding either. It's just in the middle. There are many good and heartwarming side stories of patients (though they take most of the time). But I feel there is lacking in development among the main characters: the emotional development of the two leads, the relationships between Kang and Joon , and their family. I feel they are still raw and random after watching ep 13, that I still can't have full emotional attachment with them. It seems that at the end of the series, I will just get the grasp of the story of the leads while the emotions are from the side stories esp that kid Yoon Ji Yong and that spaceship metaphor.

But the music is soothing, the view of the sea, of the scenery and overall cinematography is excellent!

This series is so thought-provoking, one can't get enough of the many layers of the characters. Here are real people after a tragic event. We may or may not agree with their behaviors, but their actions are understandable given their situations. A great deal of research is obviously done with the script, because it is so well-written. Kudos to the acting too. One of the best last year for me which I belatedly watched!

I have started this series so even if I wanted to drop this a few episodes ago, I will finish watching at 2x speed just to get the story. After episode 22, still the the scenes are made so convenient and the actions of the characters are sometimes so dumb just to advance the plot.

Of the current batch of same genre series I am watching, this has become favorite of mine. As much as I love the acting of both Mew and Gulf as they absorb their characters so well, I also give credit to Kaownah for his Lhong character. I also want him to have a happy life after a few years and being a changed man. It would be nice to have his story told too, well I was thinking of Type's friend in his hometown, I think the two characters will go well together.

Anyway, congrats to the whole team behind TharnType!
