After reading your comments this is what I have to say:-
1. You said that a perfectly symmetrical face is not considered attractive and even studies show it. I did read up about it and you're right.
2. You also admitted that Dilraba doesn't have a perfectly symmetrical face. Studies show that humans prefer nearly symmetrical faces but not perfectly symmetrical ones. As you said Dilraba doesn't have a perfectly symmetrical face. So we are assuming DD has a nearly symmetrical face..
3. You mentioned that upon micro analysing all her features; there is nothing particular in her face which you find unattractive.
4. But somehow her face makes you uncomfortable and you did not say she is ugly. Fair enough.
5. I tried to read up about facial symmetry since you mentioned it here and while I am no expert (I don't think you are too; considering you're majoring in immunology?), this is what we can surmise:- facial beauty is related to symmetry and a nearly symmetrical face is considered highly attractive. These faces are given the title of 'beautiful face' and these people are considered highly attractive.

China has a population of 1408.09 million as of 2021. Among the 1408.09 million people; Dilraba Dilmurat has won numerous awards for her acting, style and beauty.. She is considered one of the most beautiful women in China and the world. She is ranked #1 (woman) as of today in Star Power (a popular chinese ranking system for celebrities). She has the highest endorsements in women celebrities and is considered a 'high trafficker' - a person who attracts the most traffic on social media platforms and hence is highly sought after by brands. She has more than 73 million followers on Weibo and 54 million + in Douyin.

Now coming back to facial symmetry and beauty. It is widely accepted that due to facial symmetry a person will be judged beautiful and hence will be revered for their beauty and in turn become famous. Case in point the above info on DD. She is very popular and is known for her beauty. Her beauty is judged and endorsed by the public.

So my summary is this - you finding her face uncomfortable is your personal judgement and you're most welcome to it; however using scientific reasoning to justify your answer has gone against you and in fact proven that DD is indeed beautiful and there is a reason she is so immensely loved , worshipped and admired (I am only arguing on your point about facial symmetry and beauty). After all science requires to be backed by data and the millions of admirers she has should be proof enough of her beauty.. I am going to ignore the rest of the jargon you used as it was pretty much not related to what we are discussing..

Now onto her acting. Many of us here love her acting, we feel she has done a spectacular job in TLB and we don't see anyone else doing justice to Li Changge. If you find her acting bland; fair enough that's your POV. As suggested by many others, move on from TLB. Don't watch it.

To each her own. Many have answered the question. I just think your initial bias against Dilraba is making you unable to comprehend their answers to your question.. But that's absolutely fine.. As I said to each her own..
However if you do take out the time and read the many comments (31.5 K for a reason) then maybe your questions will be answered..
And another thing - Degrees (Phd, masters, etc etc) do not define a person or justify mean comments (yes your comment was mean - its never nice to comment on another persons physical features, even if its a celebrity). Don't like her, fine. Don't watch her show. But to say a mean thing will just throw an unfavorable light on your narrow biased thinking and make absolutely no difference to the beloved by millions celebrity..

I believe that once a person starts watching TLB; they would get hooked on.. Many may not necessarily analyse TLB deeply and ponder about the beautiful nuances of the characters and the plots, but most would definitely finish the show and like it.. Because it is fast-paced and has twists and turns and all the plots have an impact on the storyline.. Plus the characters are well-defined; there is logic to the plot, no senseless illogical sequences or arcs.
I feel bad for TLB because it dint get the promotion and marketing it truly deserved.. And that is why not many people will probably know the magic that is TLB..
I asked a dear friend of mine to try it for my sake and the first thing she told me after watching the first episode is that 'I really like Changge and the ML and the show looks promising'. She also added that the ML was quite the hottie :P ;)..

Yes! Throughout the drama her hair is beautifully done! And she looks soo pretty! No wonder She'er and Mujin both fell for her..

I wanted to add one point - CG tells A'Dou to find A'Zhun and give him the crown prince's seal because she feels he is trustworthy.. Shows that very early on CG trusts AS and knows he is a good guy..

Agree with you! YAMG is going to be one of those sweet fluffy rom-com.. and Our times will be a fast paced 'entrepreneurship' drama.. So different fun genres for us.. I am also hoping viki has both the dramas..

Really like your description! I loved LC's look in that turquoise dress as well; you could see that dark lipstick clearly through the veil and I am sure she would look stunning when she took the veil off.. Leo' heart must have skipped quite a few beats during the shooting of that scene ;)
I agree TLB team should win all the awards - best drama, best actor, best actress, best director, best producer, best story, best costume & styling, best CP, best action etc etc.. The list is endless :D

Yes I have seen the AS (LW) hair BTS.. Always makes me laugh..
And yes about CG's hairstyle, to keep as close to the Manhua as possible Reba's hair was tied up to bring into prominence those two distinctive side locks..

Okay this is something I've always admired in TLB.. The hair, the manes, the locks!! So these are my favorite hairstyles:-
1. Ashille Sun - gorgeous mane.. That chocolate colour and the waves! Ooof! Plus those silver adornments.. Aaand the view from the back..
2. Ashille She'er - Really liked the various braids he had..
3. Mimi Guli - Beautiful colour and the way she dressed it..
4. Mujin - loved that flick on his forehead, suited him..
5. Changge - Most of of the time her hair was tied up, but in the grasslands and at the temple when she let them down - loved it!

I really feel you on this one.. I don't find it comfortable sharing my obsession with Asian dramas with others.. Only a handful know the extent of my love for these dramas (and from these a few don't get me).. After watching TLB I was a bit lost; I had so many things I wanted to share but no one to talk with.. I had opened the MDL account sometime back and forgotten about it. Then I came to this page and finally found my tribe..
